My blood platelet is 68000. My doc advice me good diet water fruit juice rest and medicines for increasing platelet like carpril, folic acid, emeset 4 mg .I am taking coconut water also. But my doc told not to brush teeth few days or do shaving .why? And other suggestions regarding platelet count.

Please Due to thrombocytopenia, he advised you Can clean your teeth with toothpaste using fingers Continue your current medicine Add Special Chyawanprash by Patanjali 1 tsf twice a day Tab Giloy ghanvati by Patanjali 2....2 Check your platelets after 15 days In between if you get severe weakness, fever, bleeding etc, get admitted to nearby good hospital immediately.

U have to improve your food habits do 1. Take 2/ 3 glass of warm water in the morning 2. Take more water in day 3. Take meals at fixed hrs 4. Take small amount of food at a time, take more frequent meals - may be five times a day. 5. No spicy/ fried/ fast/ junk/processed food. 6. No milk for few days, can take curd, no uncooked salad 7. Avoid constipation 8. Use nibu pani (lemon water) 2/ 3 times a day for medicine contact on private chat.

My dad suffering from shortness of breathing while talking and normal work. We have done many check up angiography ECG etc. All reports are fine. Now doctor told that he has allergy and treating Allegra and ecosprin. But I don't see much improvement. Should I wait or should go to other check ups?

If angiography & ECG are normal , get an Echo test to know % age of heart function. It looks like a case of allergy. You can change tablet , my experience tells me the new llergy tablets are not as effective as good old used for 50 years plus. Ask your chemist to give you Chlorpheniramine malleate tablet , you may find it difficult as it is used in combination with phenaramine given for Dry cough. Both tablets and syrups are available , ask for Solvin combos and get back here to tell all of us about a positive feed back.

Dear user. I can understand. SEXUAL STAMINA cannot be built on one day. Moderate exercise can help in increasing sex energy to a great extent. Simple push-ups or 30 minutes of regularly walking or jogging can work wonders in building sex power. Oysters,, almonds, cashew nuts, sesame seeds, walnuts, Fruits like apples, apricots, blueberries, cherries, papayas etc. dates, chocolate, pumpkin seeds, onions etc can also help you to improve your sexual power. A healthy lifestyle that keeps a person active with proper food and adequate exercise help in improving one’s sex power. Diet plays a big role in one’s sex life. Hello firstly do the following blood reports to know your profile more clearly. Lipid profile. Cbc esr blood sugar tests. Sgot /sgpt.. Thyroid test vitamin b12 n vitamin d n calcium levels. Revert back after your done with d results. Sumtimes eczema may be due to high sugar in d body if nt may b due to kind of food allergies or due to improper hygiene. Overweight may be coz of hypothyroidism or consuming hide calories in your diet n wrong meal timings n lack of knowledge about food consumption n sedentary lifestyle.. Know What's in Your Rice

Rice is the one of the most common non-allergen,very useful for the people who have gluten sensitivity(which is largely present in wheat and its products). Rice is Low in Sodium, unlike chapatis,makes an ideal meal for those who have troubles managing hypertension. Besides it also has very negligible traces of sugar and Fat, which can be helpful for weight watchers. Rice Bran oil which is made from the bran of the rice is very effective in cholesterol management. Brown rice could be a wiser choice to consume, as the outer layer of the rice is retained,making it high in fiber with most of the nutrients preserved. White rice is further processed and polished resulting in loss of vital nutrients during milling.

Rice has many ingredients associated with it, as listed below.

  1. Carbs: A good source of carbohydrates, in many cases and the main source of carbohydrates, it has digestible starch. This is both the best and the worst part of rice. The human digestive system lacks the enzyme required to digest this and so it does not get immediately digested and is not absorbed into the blood stream. It converts into short chain fatty acids in the small intestine, feeds the rich intestinal flora, goes all the way to the large intestine where it is finally absorbed. This is the reason rice is believed to work against weight loss. A good way to reduce this fat is to add a spoonful of coconut oil to the rice, which helps cut calories. The other good news is this rice with lowered calorie is beneficial for the good bacteria in the stomach. Another reason to cheer is that when re-heated, this benefit of lowered calories is not lost.
  2. Proteins: Rice has a good amount of dietary protein, which is essential for repair of body tissues on a regular basis.
  3. Vitamins: Vitamin B complex in rice regulates the body’s chemical reactions and converts food to energy. Rice also contains small amounts of thiamine, niacin, riboflavin, and vitamin E.
  4. Minerals: It is also a good source of iron and zinc, which protects the body from free radical damage, which is an important process in the genesis of cancer.

Types of rice

White rice is what has always been popular in most households. However, with the recent shift in eating habits, more people are switching to brown rice. This is white rice plus the husk, which gives additional amount of fibre and is richer in terms of nutrients. It not only has lesser calories compared to white rice (170 calories vs. 220 calories for a medium cup serving), it is also packed with minerals (manganese, selenium, magnesium and potassium) as well. It takes slightly longer to cook, but reduces the chances of developing type 2 diabetes by half and helps in weight loss too. It may just seem like a cup of rice, but it sure is loaded.

There are several things you can do to prevent a cold—they are all easy and inexpensive and worth the effort. Wash your hands often-with soap and warm water.The germs stick to the soap and get washed down the drain. Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. Cover Your Mouth and Nose When You Sneeze or Cough- Clean your hands every time you cough or sneeze. Avoid Touching Your Eyes, Nose, or Mouth-Germs are often spread when a person touches a contaminated surface and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth. Stay Home When You’re Sick-Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, don’t smoke, manage stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food so you can fend off viruses. Take healthy balanced boiled eggs.daily in breakfast .. Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. Routinely clean and disinfect common areas of your home. Treatment:There is a gradual 1-3 day onset of symptoms. It often starts out as a sore throat, then a fever and coughing. As the cold progresses, the nasal mucus may thicken which is the last stage before the cold dries up. A cold usually lasts for a week or two. But, taking good care of yourself at home can relieve symptoms and help prevent complications if you are otherwise healthy. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn’t need medical treatment. Complications include bacterial infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs which must be treated with antibiotics. In general you should: • get plenty of rest so your body can use its energy to fight the cold • staying at home will keep you from spreading germs • drink plenty of liquids like herbal tea or hot broth/vegetable/tomato soups. Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can keep you from getting enough sleep Runny Nose and Sneezing- if you have post nasal drip, gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. Drink extra fluids. (avoid sugary and high calorie drinks) Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation • Tablet Nasorest-P once/twice daily may reduce the amount of mucous. • Humidify the rooms you are in most or your whole house if possible. • Do steam inhalation once or twice daily Cough-Coughing is how your body gets rid of debris and mucus from the airways during a viral infection. Unless your cough is severe or is keeping you from resting at night, it is better not to treat it. A severe cough can be treated with a cough syp, but don’t try to completely stop the cough. There are two types of coughs. Productive and non-productive or dry cough. Non-productive, dry cough. A dry, hacking cough may develop near the end of a cold. Dry coughs that follow viral colds are often worse at night and can last up to several weeks. Take syrup Alex-D for a dry cough. Cough drops can sooth an irritated throat, but most don’t affect the cough. Productive cough. A productive cough is one that brings up mucus from the back of the throat or the lungs. Productive coughs should not be suppressed to the point they no longer bring up mucus. Use syrup Alex. Drink lots of water if you have a productive cough. Head and Body Aches- Take tablet dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily
