These's been a lot of hair loss in my dog I have been using petglow tonic from a couple of days but there's no improvement.

Please continue with any tonic which contain omega 3 and 6 oil at least for a month and see for the results they all can't produce results in hours. Sir need to wait./// as the damage caused took so much time to disintegrate the skin and you need same or twice time to repair it.

Cherry Eye in Dogs

Cherry Eye in Dogs

Cherry eye is a disorder of the nictitating membrane (nm), also called the third eyelid, present in the eyes of dogs and cats. Cherry eye is most often seen in young dogs under the age of two. Common misnomers include adenitis, hyperplasia, adenoma of the gland of the third eyelid; however, cherry eye is not caused by hyperplasia, neoplasia, or primary inflammation. In many species, the third eyelid plays an essential role in vision by supplying oxygen and nutrients to the eye via tear production. Normally, the gland can evert without detachment. Cherry eye results from a defect in the retinaculum which is responsible for anchoring the gland to the periorbita. This defect causes the gland to prolapse and protrude from the eye as a red fleshy mass. Problems arise as sensitive tissue dries out and is subjected to external trauma. Exposure of the tissue often results in secondary inflammation, swelling, or infection. If left untreated, this condition can lead to keratoconjunctivitis sicca (kcs) and other complications.

My 1 year old german shepherd is suffering from babesiosis although I never spotted any ticks on him. He is on antibiotics and crocin TDS How can I check his temperature?

MVSc (Ph.D)
Veterinarian,
Do not become yourself doctor or assume without base, to be a babesiosis case, there are certain symptoms like high fever, severe conjunctivitis, urine dark colored like coffee, & you should take the blood for diagnosis of this disease, to lab. The ticks in the night bite & go & can not be found on the body, what your doctor said is correct, he may be having some other problem also, and you are treating for that. His temperature can be taken by keeping the thermometer in the anus,

My dog just bite me but he's fully vaccines! Should I do anything or anything will happen?

MVSc, BVSc
Veterinarian,
As long as your pet has received yearly rabies vaccines and he is disease free - nothing should happen to you. Its however wise to show your bite wound to a human physician and take his opinion. Take care.
