Spotting is well known and may be normal. Rest. Less of travel. Avoid sex in first 3 months of pregnancy.

Low dose pills available now. Its quiet safe. Stopping intermittently and restarting will further reduce the limited side effects.

I am 20 years old my problem is that I have irregular menstural cycle from few months what would be the reason.

D A, MBBS
Anesthesiologist, Bangalore
Overweight is common problem. Get a thyroid test too. Get a ultrasound to see if you have polycystic ovaries. Menstruation has to be regularised by meeting a gynec.

Hello i am pregnant (8 weeks) and my sugar levels are high. My hba1c is 7.5%. I am worried if this is going to harm my baby. Please help.

D A, MBBS

U have to keep strict control on sugar levels through out the pregnancy. A diabetologist or endocrinologist will help you in that. Regarding baby don't worry if you have strict control.

I am 48 years old and my wife is 44. Ours was a late marriage. We are unable to bear a child. My medical tests have given normal results. My wife has a less egg reserve. Kindly advice.

D A, MBBS
Anesthesiologist, Bangalore
U can take help of a infertility specialist. To my knowledge there is nothing like less egg reserve. You can adopt. That would be the best. As age of wife may not favour a safe pregnancy.

Dear, My wife 4 time pregnant but problem is her pregnancy not completed after 15 days to 20 days completed than automatically miscarriage her pregnancy please give me right solution.

D A, MBBS

U should visit a obstretician who would advice you to conduct some tests like torch profile to rule out infections. If yes they have to be treated and you should co ordinate with her for a planned pregnancy.

Hi I am 15 weeks pregnant and today something hit on my stomach, is this harmful to my baby? should I go to the doctor?

D A, MBBS

U should visit a doctor. You may have to get a ultrasound to check whether there is no intrauterine bleed and to know the well being of the fetus.
