Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Joint pain can be caused by a number of issues, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, bursitis, tendinitis or a strain, sprain or other injury affecting the ligaments, bursae or tendons surrounding a joint. It can occur in any part of the body but is most common in the knees, shoulders and hips. The pain can range from mild to severe and may be accompanied by swelling and stiffness in one or more joints. Severe joint pain, especially when caused by degenerative conditions like arthritis, needs proper diagnosis and treatment. You should also consult your doctor if your joint pain is accompanied by swelling, redness and tenderness, or lasts for more than three days. But, you can get rid of mild joint pain with the help of natural home remedies. Massage massage therapy helps relieve joint pain by improving circulation and soothing inflammation. In fact, several studies indicate that regular massage can improve pain, stiffness and range of motion in the affected joint. To massage the affected area, use warm oil like coconut, olive, mustard, castor or garlic oil and apply gentle pressure while massaging. Hot and cold compresses alternating hot and cold compresses can also help ease joint pain. Heat therapy helps decrease pain, increase blood flow and relax sore muscles and joints. Cold therapy reduces inflammation and numbs the areas around the affected joint. 1. Wrap both compresses in separate towels before using them. They should not be applied directly to the skin. 2. Place the hot compress on the affected area for about three minutes. 3. Remove the compress and immediately put a cold compress in its place for about one minute. 4. Repeat the process for 15 to 20 minutes a few times daily until you get relief. Note: do not use heat therapy if the affected area is red, hot and irritated. Do not use cold therapy if you have circulatory problems. Turmeric turmeric is an excellent ayurvedic remedy for joint pain. It contains an active ingredient called curcumin with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. In a 2009 study published in the journal of alternative and complementary medicine, researchers compared the effectiveness of this compound to ibuprofen and found that curcumin was as effective as ibuprofen for pain relief in patients with knee osteoarthritis? mix one teaspoon of turmeric powder and a little honey in a glass of warm milk. Drink it daily, at least for a few days? another option is to take 250 to 500 mg turmeric capsules three times daily until you are satisfied with the results. Note: talk to your doctor before including either of these remedies in your regular routine. Turmeric may interfere with certain medications, such as blood thinners, and may worsen gallbladder problems. For treatment consult privately any queries inform me.

Tk muscle relaxant medicine and heat fermentation twice a day if it work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment. Avoid long standing toward bending long sitting lifting heavyweight, etc.

I am 18 year old and I have neck pain since last 3 month what should I do to come up from this.

Hi, apply rumalaya liniment and massage for 10 mins and give hot water fomentation. This can be done thrice daily. If the pain is severe, take tab. Yogaraja guggulu 1-1-1 with hot water after food. Use soft medium sized pillow while sleeping. Perform neck exercises for 10 mins in the morning and evening regularly.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Hypothyroidism is a hormone deficiency disease. In this condition your thyroid gland is not producing enough (nil) thyroxine. This hormone is necessary for day to day functioning of all the metabolic activities in the body. Therefore, it has to be supplemented every day for the rest of life. Hence there is NO CURE. When on treatment with adequate dose of thyroxine, TSH is maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L, at that level all the symptoms will be in check. So if the TSH level is 60 mU/L, means there is uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Thanks.

I am 51 years old. Often I feel pain in right knee downside from front of knee only. I have no other problem. I am purely vegetarian. I do not take an other medicine. Some times I take painkiller diclofen-paracetamol X-ray of the both knees are normal. No abnormality.

20 Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Dear , it is common to feel sound in your knee joint and it is obviously normal unless associated with pain and other conditions. It is called crepitus.

Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I am 63 years old Had an attack of compressive Myelopathy in 2012. Started with a back ache. Pain is still there. Right leg was temporarily paralyzed. Can walk but leg feels heavy. Tingling sensation. After an MRI Doctors say I have spine degeneration. Taking Ayurvedic treatment. But the pain is still there. Tingling sensation too. Using Diclofenac ointment. No relief. I run 2 kms daily and do some other general exercise for fitness. I do not have any health issues other than leg pain, I did a BMD test and came to know that my T score is -3.5 which is moderate osteoporosis, please suggest what to do now, which doctor to refer etc;

Use good sport shoe and rum outside like adidas or nike and swim is better for you and gym do only press you both foot increase your muscle strength.

Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain.
