It may be strain due to sports injury, running, if you hv no major issue otherwise tk x-ray of ankle and apply ice and hot pack avoid long standing strain full activity if it treatment work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment must.

You should consult a physiotherapist, and take sessions if you have allergies with painkillers. Anyhow painkillers are not good for long term use. For the time being you can use a pain relieving ointment - volini gel/ ortho pain oil, followed by a hot water fomentation before going to sleep, every night. This will help your muscles to relax. Stretch your body to avoid spasms and stiffness in neck and back.

I frequently have the neck pain and shoulder pain. what the solution for it. Pain is not so sever but still feel uncomfortable during dat time.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi I have pain in my neck from last 6 to 7 days. Actually I used to work on laptop for hours. Suggest me some exercise and diet to get recover from this.

Simple exercises can help to keep your circulation moving, but do them gently. A counter stretch (‘open like a flower’) will reverse the hunched position provoked by using a laptop; reach your arms out to the side, palms up, then open your fingers and turn your palms down to the floor; look gently up to the ceiling, push your shoulder blades together and hold for ten seconds. No specific diet is required.

Dear user. Sex is a healthy exercise. But as in the case of any physical exercise, if you over do it, you will have to bear the brunt. Your back pain could be due to excess sexual forces or positions you are using while sex. Introspect and observe your way of sex making. And change the present positions. Take care.

I am 30 years old male, I have back pain within 6 months. Still is painful. So please help me what I need to do?
Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -Apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --While sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -Find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -Do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -Avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -Good posture plays a key role in your spine health, helping to prevent additional back and neck pain and even injuries to spinal structures. Try to be aware of your posture and make good posture part of your normal routine. -head up, shoulders back, rear tucked under -Stand and walk with correct posture -Sit with support -Lift and carry carefully -And finally, keep moving:-Maintaining a static position for too long—more than twenty or thirty minutes at a time—is hard on the back. Prolonged static posture can slowly deplete elasticity from the tissues. By simply moving—be it a change of position, a stretch, or a short walk—the tissue elasticity needed to protect your joints can be restored and the associated discomfort reduced. -Stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -Some Physiotherapy treatment like IFT current can give you relief. -Consult a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your back pain. Unfortunately there is no medicine to stop or cure lipomas. Lipoma is a benign disease. If they are too big in size and causing cosmetic problem they can be removed.

I'm suffering from back pain since 3 months I took xrays of spine, hip, pelvis and mri spine everything is normal, I used lot of medicines and various combinations but no use some how my back pain got reduced but i'm pain in my buttock and hip regions more on right side I dont know what to do actually i'm a physio. please suggest me a solution.

This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days x 5days do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated.

Hi doctor, the nerves around my calf for both the legs have been swollen a bit at three places and I'm getting problem while walking. It's not paining until and unless I walk or get a touch over there, there's a sensation of pain at the time of hurting. It's from one month I thought it's just normal but it's not getting cured from last 1 month. I've taken no medication. Help me with the problem. Thanks.

Hello, from the way of your description I feel those are varicose veins. In people with occupation involving prolonged standing the veins gets dilated and torturous. They will be painless. You need to get color doppler of venous system of the lower limb that is involved. Treatment for this condition non pharmacological using compression stockings, decreasing weight if obese. Surgical ligation and stripping of veins may be performed, laser therapy is also available.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
