I am suffering from back pain and pain always go down till legs and knees and there is gap in the spinal cord suggest...
The spine is made up of vertebrae which form a bony tunnel running down the whole length of the spine, this channel is called the spinal canal. The tunnel is made up of bone and the ligaments that support the vertebrae, including the anterior longitudinal ligament which runs along the whole length of the spinal canal. The spinal cord normally sits here safely protected in its bony tunnel. Lumbar spinal stenosis treatment if the symptoms are not severe usually conservative treatment is tried first. This involves physiotherapy with advice on stretching exercises and posture etc. If this does not offer relief an injection may be considered to reduce pain from a nerve root. Go for accupressure tretment.

I am having pain in my knees and I can not walk long distances. Can you tell me some medicines?

I am having pain in my knees and I can not walk long distances. Can you tell me some medicines?
Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hi, few days back, I did blood test and found to be low in haemoglobin and calcium. Now from few days I feel pain in my finger joints especially while folding fingers. Is it a sign of arthritis or just due to lack of calcium. Please suggest.

Hi, few days back, I did blood test and found to be low in haemoglobin and calcium. Now from few days I feel pain in ...
It may be due to calcium deficiency MANAGEMENT - anemia There are multiple reasons of anemia like loss of blood in any discharge, inability of body to form new blood, life span of red blood cells is reduced, etc. So the cause needs to be diagnosed first. 1. Eat Iron-Rich Foods - Some good iron-based foods are liver, red meat, tofu, spinach, almonds, dates, lentils, fortified breakfast cereals, almonds 2. Increase Vitamin C Intake - Low hemoglobin levels due to a deficiency of vitamin C can be corrected by eating more foods rich in vitamin C. Iron cannot be fully absorbed by the body without the help of this vitamin. Eat foods rich in vitamin C like papaya, oranges, lemon, strawberries, bell peppers, broccoli, grapefruit, tomatoes and spinach. 3. Take Folic Acid - Folic acid, a B-complex vitamin, is required to make red blood cells. So, a folic acid deficiency automatically leads to a low hemoglobin level. Some good food sources of folic acid are green leafy vegetables, rice, sprouts, dried beans, wheat germ, fortified cereals, peanuts, bananas, broccoli and liver. 4. Beetroots - Beetroot is highly recommended to increase hemoglobin levels. It is high in iron, folic acid as well as fiber and potassium. Its nutritional value helps increase the body’s red blood cell count 5. Apples - An apple a day can help maintain a normal hemoglobin level. Apples are rich in iron along with various other health-friendly components that are required for a healthy hemoglobin count. For homeopathic medicine, contact us.

Hi Lybrate User... This pain is called sciatica pain. No need to worry. It will get OK.... Try doing some back stretching and strengthening exercises..... 1. Lie down face down and lift left leg and then right leg..... 2..Same position, lift both legs together for 5 seconds and drop.... 3. Lift left leg and right hand and then the opposit..... Basically if you practice back exercises regularly this pain will go. This is not a long term pain.
