I have been using contact lenses from 2 years. Recently I have changed my lens solution brand and my eyes became full red and lasted for 5 days. Is it because of change in solution or not? Please advise.

red eyes could be because of many reasons but commonly it is due to allergy or infection. You need to visit eye specialist to differentiate between the two as the treatment is different. Also get your eyes checked for any glass power for your spectacle removal you can plan for lasik surgery Lasik is a simple laser procedure which changes the shape of the cornea so that the light rays fall on the retina properly. It is a painless procedure. It is a day care procedure does not require any injections, does not require admission, you can simply resume your duties in 2 days. Cost varies from centre to centre. Side effects are usually limited to dryness of eyes for few months. We can do lasik anytime after age of 18 years. You need to undergo proper prelasik checkup to decide whether lasik is safe for you or not

Hi lybrate-user. Sugar is not the cause. Allergic, or infection, other many causes like refractory errors can cause such symptoms. The only way to diagnose is to take proper eye check up. So better contact a good eye specialist.
