You must use your specs almost all the time to avoid headaches. Washing your eyes frequently will be helpful. And when your number is stabilised for at least a period of 1 yr, get it removed by Lasik, as it will help you future to avoid eyestrain problem.

If he has such high power it is advisable to make your son wear glasses full time. The eyes and brain critically develop during this age. If you ignore it now then his vision will not improve later in life. So please make him wear glasses regularly.

I have a eye problem, my right eye has weaker focus compared to left eye it does not affect my daily life at all and at times it becomes better. And I can read or focus on close objects clearly but far object focus is not that good with right eye. It is not much of a problem for me but still I am concerned. Should I worry? Or is it normal?

It is a real thing to worry about------actually your problem is myopia and you should immediately visit an eye surgeon for a local examination so that you can ear appropriate eye glasses otherwise it will cause a lot of straining on your right eye can weaken further with time-------------being a homoeopath, I can guide you to undergo homoeopathic treatment as homoeopathic medicine along with exercises and a diet plan are very effective combination for improving eyesight.

At night time lam not able to see objects clearly but in day time its very clear I do not know the reason.

At night time lam not able to see objects clearly but in day time its very clear I do not know the reason.
Hello. Sorry about your eye trouble. Night blindness has various causes associated with it: (1) deficiency of vitamins- vitamin a deficiency, specifically, in young children may lead to night blindness. Prompt dietary modification and administration should be of help. (2) congenital defect: retinitis pigmentosa, heredomacular degeneration, congenital stationary night blindness are a few of the disorders that are present from birth/ childhood that could lead to night blindness. These should be assessed and treated accordingly. There are a few treatment options such as dietary supplements, low vision aid devices, genetic counseling therapy that might have some benefit in for the same. (3) raised intra-occular pressure may at times caused reduced vision at night time/ low illumination. This would be easily detected when undergoing checkup by an eye specialist. (4) certain other infectious conditions may also cause night blindness. (5) certain types of cataract may lead to reduced vision at night time. This can be easily solved by removing the cataract. Thus, my suggestion for you would be to undergo a thorough eye evaluation by a retina specialist and then follow the therapy suggested by him/her. Hope my suggestions help you. Take care, regards.

I feel some small fly/insect like is moving along with my eyeball since past 6 months.
Insect moving inside the eye (floaters) is a common proble. It may be due to aging (Vitreous condensation), bleeding inside the eye, trauma etc. And a plethora of causes. You need a complete eye examination preferrable by a retinal specialist to rule out any of the above mentioned.

Hi My age is 33. I have most of my work on laptop and gadgets. My number is L4/-3.75. My number increase by 0.25 every 3-4 years. Just now an optician told me that I have a cylindrical number also of 0.25 in each eye. Is it normal that number increase at this age? Can I pursue lasik to normalise my number? Thanks.

Hi
My age is 33. I have most of my work on laptop and gadgets. My number is L4/-3.75. My number increase by 0.25 ever...
My dear friend lybrate-user, At the age of 33 with computer profession with mild increase in power af 0.25. But this is happening every 3-4 years. That means over a period of last 10 years your power had changed in the range of approximately -1. Increase in power of -1 over period of last 10 yes is something significant and defiantly requires investigation. As the power keeps on increasing till the age of 33 ;are we dealing with some ting called as pathological myopia or do you have other body illness which is disturbing and having effect on your eye. Which is secondarily leading to increase in power. This is something which requires through investigation; detail eye check up including your peripheral retinal examination and if required some blood tests .but the most important thing is your detail history. Which might point towards some illness at present or in past or it could be some indication of future disease which is not yet menifested. So my dear friend possibilities are endless and can be confirmed by examination in person. As far as lasik is concerned. 2 readings should be stable done at an interval of 6 months .that will tell us that probably your power is stabilised and after doing certain pre lasik investigations if you pass that test. That means you become a good candidate for lasik surgery. But in your case if recently you have developed cylindrical power also. Which was done by optician. It is advisable to confirm your power from anow eye doctor and really if you have this and also your power has changed grossly over period ;this warrents detail check up. Lasik is an cosmetic surgery but doing lasik will not answer the cause of your problem. Detail discussion on the points which I have mentioned with your eye doctor will show some light possible cause of your problem. Hope this answers. All the best.
