Gum Pain Home Remedies
Avoid Aspirin

Your friends mean well when they tell you to put aspirin on your sore gums. But don’t listen to this old wives’ tale. Never put aspirin directly on your gums. Yes, it might provide some temporary relief. But aspirin is a highly caustic chemical, and it is irritating to the gum tissue. It could cause a fairly serious acid burn.

I have tongue crack and bumps in back tongue. I don't have any irritation but I am wondering why it's persist. Please help someone.

There are many reasons your gums could bleed.

In some cases, bleeding gums can be a sign of gingivitis, the early stage of periodontal disease. If your gums bleed easily or bleed when you brush, talk to your dentist about your oral health. Gingivitis is reversible and preventable.

Some pregnant women develop a condition known as “pregnancy gingivitis,” an inflammation of the gums that can cause swelling and tenderness. Gums also may bleed a little when brushing or flossing.
If you take blood thinners, these medications may cause your gums to bleed. Contact your physician if the bleeding does not stop quickly. Your gums could also be bleeding if you brush too hard. Use an extra-soft or soft-bristled toothbrush when brushing your teeth.

If your gums bleed regularly or enough to worry you, make an appointment with your dentist. It could be a sign that something else is wrong.

Always remember to brush your teeth twice a day, floss once a day and schedule regular dental visits.

Munching foods like apples, pears, carrots or celery after brushing
Munching foods like apples, pears, carrots or celery after brushing can help in preventing discoloration as they trigger tooth-bathing saliva which helps in keeping the teeth whiter.

Dear Lybrate User, If there is a hole in your tooth, you are most probably having a carious tooth (decayed and diseased) and you need to see a dentist for getting the tooth filled up. A diseased toith, if left untreated, results in the loss of the tooth. Get examined by a dentist at the earliest.

Hi one of the most common reasons for bleeding gums is gingivitis. In easy terms, gingivitis is inflammation (swelling) of gums. You should immediately see a dentist to get a round of scaling (cleaning) done.
