I am 20 years old but my back pains every time if I sit for at least 15 minutes continuously. What should I do?

I am 20 years old but my back pains every time if I sit for at least 15 minutes continuously. What should I do?
Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Back muscles need to be strengthened so that they can bear the weight of the upper body. For this exercises of the back muscles are very helpful. Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight. Most importantly if you are overweight then losing weight is an important part of the whole treatment plan .Long term use of painkillers for low back pain is harmful Treatment for back pain:- Homoeopathic medicines are very helpful. They not only treat the acute stages but are also used for the treatment of chronic back pain.Selection of the exact remedy depends upon the individual symptoms of the person. So share the complete symptom picture for the proper treatment. In the mean time take Arnica 200, 3 drops in the morning and Rhus tox. 200, 3 drops at night for 7 days.Take care.

Knee Pain: Causes And Symptoms

Knee pain is something that can affect anyone - irrespective of their age. While sometimes it may be of minor importance - and can easily be handled by self-care, often, lingering pain is a manifestation of some other serious underlying problem, such as arthritis. In this case, it is imperative that you consult a doctor and take appropriate measures to combat it.

Causes :

Arthritis: The chief cause of lingering knee pain, arthritis itself can be of a number of types:

  • Osteoarthritis, which is a result of deterioration of cartilages due to wear and tear
  • Rheumatoid arthritis, an inflammatory chronic disorder
  • Septic Arthritis, causing pain, swelling and redness.
  • Gout caused due to the development of uric acid crystals in the joints

Fractures: These are caused by the breaking up of the kneecap due to falls or collisions.
ACL Injuries: Caused due to the tearing of the anterior cruciate ligament (that connects the femur and the shinbone). Especially common in sportspersons such as footballers or basketball players.
Meniscus tears: The meniscus or the rubber-like cartilage (that acts as a shock absorber) can be torn by sudden jerks or excess pressure.

Symptoms:The major symptoms of knee pain include weakness, redness, instability, stiffness or the inability to properly straighten or move the leg. Often, a deformity is also visible, such as a bone sticking out of the leg - in which case it is advisable to consult a doctor immediately.

  • Possible risks: Factors which include the odds of being inflicted by knee pain and cause serious complications include :
  • Being overweight: This exponentially increases the stress or pressure that is applied on the knee joints - even in doing mundane tasks like walking up and down stairs.
  • Excessive physical activity: Some activities, such as sports apply excess stress on the knees as compared to other tasks.
  • Loss of muscle flexibility: Tightness or weakness in muscles causes increasing number of problems in the knees. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.

Neck Pain - Best Ways to Get Relief!

A pain in the neck is not something which is pleasant to have in both the metaphorical and the literal ways. That being said, however, if a person does have it, one would wish to have the pain alleviated and there are quite a lot of tried and tested ways to go about making sure that that is done!

To start with, there is the warm shower. While a person may take a warm shower on a daily basis as it is quite relaxing. It can be said that taking a warm shower can have a pretty beneficial impact especially when a person has a neck pain. As a matter of fact, it is true that it is one of the simplest solutions that a person can possibly find.

It is important to keep in mind that when there is a nagging neck pain, just keeping sources of heat on the affected area will not help as much as if hot and cold sources were interspersed on the area. The effect, in this case, can be said to be enhanced. In fact, it would be good for a person who has a neck pain to make sure that he or she applies an ice pack to the area of the neck where they are experiencing the pain every two or three hours. This will make sure the level of aggravation will come down.

While there is a range of things which have the potential to cause neck pain, once a person does have it, it does make a fair amount of sense to check the height of the pillow that he or she sleeps on. This is due to the fact that if a pillow is too high or too hard, it can be a very reliable source of trouble by the way of neck pain!

Now, of course, a person who has a neck pain is really not expected to exist with limited mobility forever! That being said, it is important to only gradually increase the level of activity after a period of rest which is sufficient, as per the case.

A neck pain is surely something which can really reduce the ease at which a person enjoys his or her life however if the right steps are taken by him or her, then there is no reason to doubt that he or she will be up and running in no time at all!

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Shoulder exercises are essential for you but you need to rule out first why the pain is occurring. Is there any pain in while you are pulling off your parse from your hip pocket? Is the pain is more in the initial range of movement? Is there any pain while sleeping? Can you sleep turning towards the affected side? Please let us know for better guidance.
