Considering your profession, your back pain is mostly postural. Follow these tips to get relief: 1. Take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen round the clock for 5 days to decrease pain. 2. Take rest for 3 days, do your daily activities but avoid exertion. 3. When at shop, take break every 45 mins and walk for 10 mins. Avoid prolonged sitting or standing. 4. Get a chair with proper ergonomics design. Back should be supported and feet should rest on floor in the chair. Avoid forward bending and lifting weights. 5. Take calcium and vitamin d supplement. 6. Start back stretching exercises and core strengthening exercises uponce pain decreased for further details consult a pain specialist.

Hi, There could be two potential reasons behind these symptoms: First- you may have a decayed tooth which is damaged up till the nerves and causing pain, and the same pain is radiating to the ear and neck. Second- Your third molar may be in the erupting stage. It commonly erupts between 17 to 25 years of age and causes trouble to the patient until it has erupted fully. If you hv no major issue then consult other docter and if need then apply pop otherwise wear wrist splint and tk calcium supplements.

Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

Hunching over a desk is a leading reason why people end up with crippling back pain at some point in their lives. But a few simple changes in the way you work can make your pain go away. 1-Keep your head up; Focus on aligning your head and neck right above your shoulders; avoid straining forward. 2-Be choosy with your chair: Pick one that allows your lower back to rest against a lumbar support. Then tilt the back of the chair so it’s very slightly reclined. 3-Plant your feet: Keep them flat on the floor and shoulder-width apart to quiet tension in your knees and ankles. 4-Take breaks: Getting up at least once an hour— just do some shoulder rolls—reduces pressure on spinal disks and boosts circulation. If your back pain is severe please go to a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your pain. Best wishes.

Do hot fomentation x twice daily. Postural correction- always sit with a small pillow at your low back. Sit tall, walk tall. Follow the 30-30 rule. Post 30min of work at your desk do 30 sec stretching in the opposite direction. Stand and walk for a few sec. Extension exercises like bridging and bhujang asana x twice daily. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees. Avoid lifting any heavy weights. And get vit d levels checked.

To protect kids and teens from back injuries when using a backpack, they should wear both shoulder straps and keep it light. Being over weight is hard on young bones and joints. They should be physically active everyday and watch what they eat. And when they're at the computer, keep the screen at eye level and the keyboard and mouse at elbow height. Stand and move around every half hour.

Hi doctor, while *Pandiculation" 5 month back I got a strange type of pain in my back left head inside it accompanied by a crack sound like we twisted fingers. Since then I always have my left side of head pain from inside and my left eyes too. Please suggest me worried. Thanks.

While stretching your neck and upper back muscles (around the scapular region) might have got some injury and thus causing some inflammation there. The radiating pain may experience along with back of the head. You may try Ayurveda oil massage carefully through a trained person. Specific medicated oil applying to mid-head externally will also has good effect to relieve the "inflammation" in the neck muscles. Specific strenuous postures like sitting in front of computer system / I phones and working longer hours may aggravate the condition.

Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold). Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment knee is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the knee with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

Hello lybrate user, - what you are doing is only temporary relief - look at the cause what is actually giving you that pain - maintain always errect posture while traveling/sitting etc - avoid heavy lifting - do some physical exercise to make your muscles and joints flexible - apply mahanarayana taila before bath to come out of this pain for now. Dear, follow the tips they will help you ::: 1.Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag). 2.Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. 3.Increase the consumption of vitamin C in diet. 4.Take fresh Ginger into pieces, place in the cup of water and boil it for 30 minutes in low flame. Cool for 30 minutes after boiling. Consume this solution with Honey. 5.While sleeping, lie straight on your back or with bent knees supported by a pillow. 6.Taking hot and cold compresses on an alternate basis can be quite helpful in relieving pain. 7. Sit and stand in straight posture. 8. Do yoga and pranayam daily specially shalabhasana, bhujangasana, natrajasana, mandukasana and suryanamaskar daily 10 min each pose. Revert back for further management......
