Continuous taking medicine it is always not good. Going any type of medicine it is also not good. Every medicine has its side effects. So better to do not depend on medicine. Anxiety and depression both are psychological disorders. You are already use medication. Now it is better to consult psychologist. No side effects in psychological counselling. It is always helps to overcome to come out of the present status. Behaviour therapy helps to you very much. It is permanent therapy. No side effects. It is always good for you. So better to consult psychologist. Be happy and be sociable. Be friendly with others. Ok best of luck.

My father was detected with localized prostate cancer last year and was followed by a heart attack later. His age is 61 years. He then have to undergo angioplasty with a non-drug eluting stent. Over one year has passed and his Stress test reports are excellent now as per cardiologist. Can he undergo a radical prostatectomy (prostate cancer surgery ) now or it will be risky for him to undergo surgery? Thank you.

Well one thing needs to be ruled out after one year gap is metastasis. So needs to undergo cect and bone scan if he is operable and pac fit then he can undergo the procedure otherwise hormonal/chemotherapy and performance status of patient is important it is slow growing tumour, if performance status is not good then hormonal therapy is advisable.

I am suffering from neck pain please tell me solution to get rid of this problem.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent neck pains. If you have localized neck pain with no other symptoms like radiating upper limb pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your neck while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of neck region and few blood tests for evaluation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

I suffered from piles and I got cured with homeopathy medicine, now after 3 months again reoccurring of bleeding because of constipation, now suddenly after bleeding I feel body pain and slight fever. Is it because of weakness in body or some other reason.

MD (U), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S)
Unani Specialist, Delhi
A diagnosis of external piles can be made by simple observation. For internal hemorrhoids however, you may need a rectal examination that can be slightly uncomfortable. If necessary, your doctor may also have to use an anoscope or sigmoidoscope to study the anal canal in closer detail. To tackle a piles problem, you must make the following changes: 1. Use an inflatable ring or cushion to sit on to reduce pressure on the hemorrhoids 2. Wear cotton underwear that prevents excessive perspiration and allows the skin to breathe 3. Do not use perfumed toilet paper or cheap rough toilet paper that can damage sensitive skin 4. Do not scratch the itchy areas and keep your nails short to avoid accidental scratches 5. Avoid straining during a bowel movement and do not spend excessive amounts of time in the toilet 6. Do not delay a bowel movement when the urge occurs as this can lead to constipation.

5 of your biggest sex problems tackled

5 of your biggest sex problems tackled

We have been bombarded with dozens of mails from our readers wanting to know more about different aspects of sex and other sexual acts. While it is impossible to answer them all, we will tackle the most commonly asked ones.

Here are 5 top sex questions you guys asked.

How do I last longer in bed?

A whole lot of mails have come from men who will like to last longer and maintain their erections in the bedroom. While we have published a lot of articles on the subject, you should also keep in mind that certain factors might cause you to have issues staying hard;

Too much alcohol before sex.

Regular smoking habit.

The age factor (the older you get, the more likely you will find it hard to keep from cumming too early).

Psychological issues (you can lose your erection if you are unattracted to your partner, stressed out, etc).

Why does sex hurt?

A lot of women have emailed us, wanting to know why they have painful sex and what they can do about it. Not enough foreplay, vaginal diseases, wrong position (where the penis hits your cervix) and birth control pills could be the culprit

Why is she not freaky enough?

Some men would love to be with a woman who is willing to let go in the bedroom. They want someone who is freakier in the sheets and can pleasure them. The easiest way to get her to be this way is to make sure she is comfortable with you.

Always compliment her body and let her know how sexy you find her. Tell her you to love her just the way she is and all you want to do is to be pleased with her. Do not outrightly criticize her because this will cause her to retreat into her shell. If she does something you find hot, no matter how little, let her know you noticed and you thoroughly enjoyed it. This should encourage her to keep trying

Why can't I orgasm?

They wonder why they cannot seem to get there. The one tip we share with them - and you women out there should take note too - is to know your body. You cannot cum if you do not know what makes you cum. Men can tell you what position or move makes them cum. You should be able to say the same too.

How do you do this? masturbate. Take a few minutes to know what feels good without any pressure to perform. Masturbation is all about you so take your time, touch yourself and have a blast learning about your body.

Why doesn't oral feel good?

So your man has tried time and time again to eat you out but you are not feeling it? well, this is very likely because he is not that good. A good oral will make your toes curl, no matter what. So, it's time to have a good talk with your man. Make sure he avoids most oral sex mistakes (like using teeth, ignoring the clitoris or being too rough) and take things slow. The vagina is extremely sensitive, do not let him attack it like a dog in heat. He should start slow and gently increase pressure as you prefer. Give him feedback when he is doing it right so he knows what to focus on

Dizziness and Ear Problems

MBBS, MS - ENT
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Delhi
Dizziness and Ear Problems

Dizziness is usually described as variety of sensations, which comprise of a feeling of faintness, unsteady, weak, light headed, giddy or woozy. When dizziness causes a false feeling of spinning and the moving surroundings is known as vertigo.

Dizziness can be one of the most common reasons for a visit to the doctor. However, constant feeling of dizziness can affect a person's life drastically, but it is rarely life threatening. The treatment of dizzy sensation and dizziness mostly depends on the symptoms.

Causes of Dizziness
The common causes of dizziness are medication, motion sickness and ear problems, especially disturbances of the inner ear. An injury, infection or poor blood circulation can also lead to dizziness. The triggers of dizziness and the sensations it provides are used to evaluate the cause. Also, the duration of the dizziness and the symptoms lead to a clue towards the cause of the same.

Dizziness Caused by the Inner Ear Problems
The balance of the body depends on the combined effort of many parts of the sensory system. These are:

  1. Sensory Nerves: These send messages to the brain in regard to the body positions and its movements
  2. Inner Ear: The inner ear has the organ of corti which are responsible for detecting the motions and thereby help in the balance of the body.

In vertigo a person might feel that the things around them are moving, thus creating a swaying or a spinning motion. Vertigo is usually caused by the problems of the inner ear.

The common causes are:

  1. Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), this happens when the calcium particles accumulate in the inner ear canals. The inner ear is responsible for the body movements and balance.
  2. Meniere's disease, a problem of the inner ear mainly caused by the build up of the fluids, thereby leading to a change in pressure. This causes vertigo along with hearing loss and tinnitus.
  3. Vestibular neuritis is the problem of the inner ear and is largely due to infection. Infection leads to swelling of the nerves of the inner ear which affect the body movements.

Treatment of Vertigo Includes:

  1. Rehabilitation of the vestibular system by physical therapy in order to strengthen it.
  2. Canalith repositioning by suggesting some body and head movements basically for BPPV. These movements help to move the calcium deposits from the inner ear canals to one of the chambers, which are further absorbed by the body. When the canaliths (calcium deposits) move, it might give rise to vertigo.
  3. Medicines are given to relieve symptoms of motion sickness and nausea. Antibiotics can be taken in case of infection and swelling.
  4. Surgery in some cases.

High cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain.garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines .
