Dear Lybrateuser, - Your pain could be due your present state of mind - keep yourself busy with your job or reading, follow a hobby, do social work, interact with friends & family, try to forget the past - do regular exercise like walking, jogging for 20-30 min, do yoga, deep breathing & meditation which will calm your mind & keep you fit & focussed - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits & vegetables, whole grains, low fat dairy, nuts - take a pain relief tablet after meals if pain is more.

Hello Lybrate user according to ayurveda, Hypertension is referred to as Rakta Capa Vriddhi and it sees the vitiation of vata and pitta doshas as the main cause. Home Remedy- Mix 1 teaspoon of onion juice with an equal amount of honey. Take once a day for 1 week. Upon noticing improvement, continue for several more days. Treatment- 1-take sarpgandha vati twice a day. 2-yogendra ras. Akik bhasm works very good in case of hypertension. 3-Take pranacharya no tens capsule twice a day Diet-avoid salty diet. Oily food. Lower your stress. Do pranayama early morning.

My triglyceride level is very high (more than 650 level). Whenever, I start taking medicine, its come down at normal level. But after stopping the medicine (after prolong medication) it shoot back again very high. Kindly advice.

hi... do not stop medicines without consulting a doctor. You can control cholesterol / hdl / ldl/t.g. and obesity by using following flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take . green veg., whole grain foods, spicy foods, Use GARLIC in foods daily ,. Cod liver oil. Low sugar foods, low calories foods. Change own life style . do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily in morning and evening, do any one physically activity daily i.e. play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, alcohol,smoking, fatty foods, non-veg., avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. These are helful also reduced obesity. one important that is take 1 glass of water before bed at night. Because it protect from heart fail during sleep at night. Welcome in lybrate.

You should immediately consult your doctor for a physical examination although the pain can be of muscular or nervous origin other than any heart linked problem but if the pain is consistent and you are feeling uncomfortable then you should take an expert advise rather than to sit at home and wait for pain to subside on its own. A proper diagnosis is surely required to rule out number of questions going on in your mind---------------

Dear Mr Vinod....as human gets older the walls of blood vessels becomes less elastic and it becomes hardened..as a result it exerts more pressure on the blood flowing through the vessels.....another cause of increasing blood pressure may be atherosclerosis....atherosclerosis is caused by high cholesterol level in blood......Since your age is 56 years i would like to advise to walk for 1 hour daily.....you can try Homeopathic Mother Tincture RAWOULFIA SERP Q, 30 drops in water, thrice daily after meals......You should also check the lipid profile of your blood

More than your Triglycerides, it is your Cholesterol and LDL that need to be focused at this stage. 1) Begin with diet modification for healthy heart diet, consult a dietician fora detailed diet prescription. 2) Begin exercising, start gradually target to 45 mins daily of brisk walking, yoga etc 3) Get your thyroid tested. 4)Repeat your levels after 6 weeks of these precautions for 6 weeks repeat levels again, if still high consult for medications. Lipaglyn is not the first line drug for the management of this kind of lipid profile.

What is your age? any breathlessness, palpitation. Get an ecg done take tablet pantop40 daily empty stomach in morning for 10 days take tablet pirox dt twice daily with meals for 5 days take care of your anxiety of though have any sleep well come back after 10 days of you do not improve.

it may be white coat hypertension...i.e . bp ups during physician visit but normal at home........don't start antihypertensive medications as of now.... do self monitoring of blood pressure at home at different times of day and then report it to doctor,,,if there are no symptoms then no need to take medicines ..just reduce salt intake in ur diet

1. Schedule a Yearly Checkup Your heart is in your hands. Each year on your birthday, schedule a checkup to have your blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels checked, and ask your doctor to help you reach or maintain a healthy weight 2. Get Physical Step, march or jog in place for at least 15 minutes a day while watching your favorite TV shows. Increase your activity by five minutes each week until you're getting a minimum of 30 minutes most days of the week. 3. Drink More Water Take a water bottle with you wherever you go. It'll keep you hydrated and the bottle's weight will strengthen your arms. 4. Eat Healthy Keep packages of unhealthy food hidden. Put raw veggies and fruits in front in the refrigerator and healthy snacks in the front of the pantry, so that's what you see first. If you grab healthy foods for a minimum of 21 times, healthy choices will become a habit. 5. Control Cholesterol Eating foods high in saturated fat, trans fat or cholesterol can lead to high blood cholesterol. To help keep your cholesterol levels down, eat foods low in saturated fat and trans fat, such as lean chicken or turkey (roasted or baked, with skin removed), fruits and veggies, low-fat or fat-free dairy products and whole grains. 6. Cut Down on Salt To help lower high blood pressure, watch your salt intake. It may be disguised in food labels as sodium alginate, sodium sulfite, sodium caseinate, disodium phosphate, sodium benzoate, sodium hydroxide, monosodium glutamate (MSG), or sodium citrate. 7. Quit Smoking Try this four-step way to kick your habit: • On Day 1, cut the number of cigarettes you smoke by half • On Day 3, cut the number of cigarettes you smoke in half again • And on Day 5, cut your smoking in half again • On your Quit Day... quit! 8. Maintain a Healthy Weight Excess weight increases your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. To achieve steady, painless weight loss, take it easy. Each day, if you eat 200-300 calories less than you would normally consume, and exercise at least 30 minutes on most or all days of the week, you'll get closer to your goal and be able to achieve weight loss that's steady and painless. 9. Stay Positive If you get off your exercise schedule, have a cigarette, or eat a fattening meal, immediately get back on track toward re-establishing a healthy lifestyle. 10. Give Yourself Credit To maintain momentum with exercising, losing weight, or quitting smoking, keep track of your achievements and reward yourself by doing something you enjoy.

Dear Cholesterol is made in liver as per body needs. Food does not alter this much. Relax. Your HbA1C is high indicating poor diabetes control. For control high b. P./ t. G. And high/ bad cholesterol eat as whole grain foods, green veg. Juice, plenty of water at least 8 glass of water in a day. Avoid high cholesterol foods, oily, fatty, junk, fast foods, foods from out sided, sweat foods. Go for walk daily, do yoga, cycling, any good exercise i. E cycling, avoid stress, try to take good sleep at night. Checkup your body by blood tests and physical examination at regular time.

Quit drinking and smoking. Eat healthy (take a detailed diet consult.) and start exercising, begin gradually and increase to 45 mins daily. Reduce salt content in diet too. IfAlso get a baseline Echocardiogram, TMT and lipid profile done. Consult after 4-6 weeks of precautions and these tests.
