Hello- pregnancy depends upon the health of both the partners. If your tests are normal then go for the semen analysis of your husband, it might be possible that your pregnancy is delayed by the health problems of your partner.

Hi. Welcome to lybrate. Sorry to hear about your condition. Usually hormonal imbalance alters the endometrial lining of uterus resulting in such abnormal bleeding. However to diagnose your problem you would firstly require an ultrasound scan of pelvis. Depending upon reports you may need to get hormone panel also done. All the best.

Without medicines the failure rate of family planning methods is high meaning many get pregnant even if they don't want. Condoms, intra-uterine contraceptive device (iucd or loop), safety period, coitus interruptus are methods you can learn in details.

Ever wish your breasts had little ounce markings? If so, you’re not alone. One of the more confusing things about breastfeeding is determining how much milk you’re making. You can’t see how much is going into your baby, so how can you tell if your milk supply is enough for your baby? On this page we share the best ways to determine if your milk supply is in fact low, and describe the many things that can make you think that your supply is low when it actually isn’t. Below are some normal experiences that can trick you into believing that your supply is low: “My baby wants to eat all the time.” It’s normal for babies to eat frequently, generally in the range of 8 to 12 times in 24 hours for many months. This means many hours of feeding a day, and it may feel constant at times. It’s also normal for babies to “cluster feed” at times during the day. If your baby is feeding significantly outside of the 8-12 times range, contact a lactation consultant or other breastfeeding support person. “My breasts feel softer than they used to.” Toward the end of the first month of breastfeeding many women notice that their breasts have decreased from the size they were when their mature milk came in. This is normal, and does not indicate anything about milk supply. “I don’t feel that ‘let down’ sensation.” Some women have a “let down” sensation when they make milk, and some don’t. It doesn’t seem to have any bearing on the amount of milk a mother makes, so don’t worry if you don’t feel anything. “My baby suddenly wants to eat all the time.” Babies go through growth spurts. They do this in order to increase your milk supply to meet an increased need for calories. To do this, they go on a feeding rampage for a few days – eating more often than usual and sometimes acting unsatisfied and fussy after feedings. During a growth spurt it’s common to question your supply. After a growth spurt you’ll find that you have more milk than ever! “I can’t pump very much.” Pumping output is usually not a good measure of milk supply. Why? Because your body doesn’t always make milk for the pump (it has to be tricked into believing that the pump is your baby!) and when it does the pump doesn’t remove milk as well as your baby does. So don’t gauge your milk supply based on your pumping output. You almost always have more than you pump. “My baby is fussy when she nurses.” There are many causes of fussiness at the breast. And while hunger is one of them, your baby may be fussy because of gas, pooping, a flow that is too fast or too slow, or a host of other reasons. If you believe that your baby is fussy because he or she isn’t getting enough milk, or if the fussiness is causing you distress, consult a lactation consultant or other breastfeeding support person. “My baby is suddenly waking up at night a lot.” Night waking can be due to hunger, but it can also be due to teething or “reverse cycling,” (when babies eat less during the day and more at night, often due to a change in routine like a return to work, or distracted behavior during the day). Here’s how to tell if your milk supply is actually low: 1) Your baby’s weight. The best measure of whether your baby is getting enough milk is his or her weight gain. If you are concerned about your milk supply, have your baby weighed and re-weighed using a baby scale. Scales will always be a little different, so be sure to compare only weights taken on the same scale. Except in critical situations, weight checks every few days or weekly is generally sufficient. In the first three months of life babies gain an average of 1 ounce per day. That slows to at least approximately a half an ounce per day between 4 and 6 months. Occasionally your health care provider may suggest a “test weight,” in which your baby is weighed on a sensitive scale before and after a feeding (with the same clothes on) to determine how much milk the baby received at that feeding. This can give you a snapshot of a feeding, but be cautious in drawing conclusions from the data. The amount of milk babies take in at different feedings can vary widely, so bear this in mind if you do a test weight of your baby. 2) Diaper output. You can get a sense of how much your baby is taking in by what comes out. After the first few days, babies generally have at least three poops that are bigger than a quarter in size each day. This frequency may decline after several weeks. And your baby should have five very wet diapers per day. It can be difficult to measure output in very absorbent diapers, which is why your baby’s weight is considered the ‘bottom line.’ 3) Swallowing. You may also take comfort in how much your baby is swallowing when nursing. This is not a definitive measure of your supply and should be confirmed with information about your baby’s growth, but a period of rapid swallowing (one swallow per one or two sucks) during a feeding shows you that your baby is getting milk. To check out your baby’s swallowing, listen for a ‘cah’ sound or a squeak or gulp, and look for a longer and slower movement of the jaw, often with a brief pause at the widest point. What to do if your milk supply is indeed low: If your milk supply is low, be sure to get help from a lactation consultant (IBCLC) or other qualified breastfeeding support person. There are many steps you can take to build your milk supply.

The word fat in itself is very alarming. Body fat or weight is the topic of concern for most people today. Due to the lack of physical activities these days people tend to gain weight at a faster rate. Long working hours, which involves sitting in front of computers, have lead to the increase in belly size.Pot belly or beer belly are just few names with which it is known. Abdominal Crunches: Lay down flat on the floor. Bend the knees with feet on the floor. Place your hands by the side of your ears. Take a deep breath. Crunch up lifting the head and chest a bit. The aim is to try and touch the knees with the forehead. But do not try to do it in the first attempt. Give your body some time. Now move down gradually, exhaling the air. Descending movement must be slower than the crunch up movement. Repeat the steps 5 to 10 times some tips Squeeze a lemon in a cup of warm water. Drink this water as soon as you get up in the morning. Drink lots of water throughout the day, keep yourself well hydrated. Drink green tea in the morning. It has antioxidants that help the body to burn fat and detoxify. Eliminate all juice (except natural pomegranate juice) and soft drinks from your diet. Drink only 1 cup of coffee a day. Avoid junk food at all cost. Start exercising. Do hour to 45 minutes of cardio, preferably walking on an incline every day. Do light weight training for upper body three times a week. Snack on a small amount of almonds (5 at a time) throughout the day (4 times a day maximum). any querries inform me?

It cannot be used as a regular contraceptive method and is quite unhealthy if taken more than twice a month. 3. The pill is to be taken soon after unprotected sex. It should be taken preferably within 24 hours and before 72 hours or else the pill may turn useless. At just an inch long, your baby still weighs around three grams, about the same as during the eighth week of pregnancy. Most of your baby's physical features are in place, such as the head, legs, and arms. The head is the largest of the extremities. During the ninth week your baby begins to put on weight. Up to 9 weeks of pregnancy On the first appointment you will be given medication (tablet) called mifepristone. This prevents hormones from preparing the lining of your womb to receive the fertilised egg. In other words, it stops hormones for allowing your pregnancy to continue. Once you have taken this tablet you are free to go home and continue with your normal activities. You then return to the hospital or clinic 48 hours later to receive the second form of medication (another tablet). This is called prostaglandin which causes uterine contractions and vaginal bleeding. The lining of the womb breaks down within 6 hours of taking prostaglandin which is then expelled from the vagina along with the foetus. This bleeding is accompanied by cramps and is very similar to a very heavy period. This is a painful stage of the procedure although taking a painkiller can help. But bear in mind that there can be side effects with these which include nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.

If its within 72 hours of intercourse you can have ipill. Otherwise you will have to wait for your periods to come. If you miss it please do a urine pregnancy test and take it from there.

It is better to avoid a journey more than four to five hours especially on a rough road. If it is longer ensure she takes a break every few hours.

Birth control pills commonly known as hormonal pills, oral contraceptive pills, or just pill's are an effective female hormonal birth controlling pill. Young women and adolescent girls are very frequently prescribed birth control pills for heavy or irregular menstrual flow, acne, pms, hormone therapy, menstrual cramps. In polycystic ovary syndrome (pcos), which causes irregular menstrual flow due to hormonal changes, often birth control pills are given to lower the hormones and bring them within normal range. This also regulates the menstrual flow. Often adolescent girls who do not respond to acne treatment are prescribed hormonal pills. Also, these are given to girls who have endometriosis, irregular periods, and genetic conditions like turner's syndrome.

Concerns associated with pills:

1) do the pills have any health benefits?
Yes, it has benefits like treatment of pcos, acne, regulates menstrual flow, decreases cramps, and lowers the risk of cancers and anemia.

2) what are the side effects of the pill?
Mostly it has no major problem as such. Pills containing estrogen might increase the risk of developing clots in eyes, lungs, and legs. If a woman complains of aches then she should be taken to the emergency.
A abdominal pain
C chest pain
H headache along with dizziness and weakness
E eye problems along with problems in speech
S severe pain in the thigh or calf

3) is there a risk of developing stroke or heart attacks while using the pill?
A healthy woman who does not smoke and is on pills does not have any risk of getting a stroke or a heart attack. Smoking should be avoided when birth control pills have been prescribed.

4) are there chances of getting cancer?
Taking birth control pills actually protects the woman against ovarian and uterus cancer. Some experts also feel that the pill also reduces the chances of breast cancer.

5) does the pill cause blood clots?
Yes, there is little risk of developing clots in the legs. In adolescent girls the risk of forming clots is 5-50 per 100, 000 every year. In pregnant women the risk is 4.3-10 folds more than those who do not use the pill.

6) does the pill cause birth defects?
The pill has not been associated with any birth defects and also does not harm the health of the child.

7) how does the pill help in irregular menstrual flow and acne?
In case of irregular menstruation the pill helps by regulating the menstrual cycle to every 28 days. It also helps to reduce the amount and the length of the menstruation.

The hormones present in the pill help to stop the acne. Otc or prescribed drugs can be taken for moderate to severe acne.
