I have black spot on my face and also pimples. I used scar removal cream for 4 months but didn't see any changes. What should I do?

BHMS
Homeopath,

Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you wherever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Before starting any nourishment treatment, there is a need of removing the dead cells those have formed already due to improper maintenance. If you wouldn’t have taken care of your neck that much, it would have filled with more and more of waste accumulated dead cells by now. Let us scrub away them with a magical kitchen ingredient called ‘oats’. You have to simply grind oats coarsely and add a dash of tomato puree to it. Make sure not to grind oats as powder fine powder as it might loose the exfoliating properties. Apply this mixture evenly on to your neck skin and leave it for about 20 minutes. After that, wet your finger tips and start scrubbing your neck gently; wash away with cold water and moisturizer. This process can be followed twice or thrice a week to achieve faster results in removing dead skin cells and dark patches from the neck. • Take a resolution to wash your neck every time you wash your face. • Never hide the facial moisturizer from your neck skin. • Heat almond oil and massage your neck once in a month for better blood circulation and glow. • Doesn’t your neck mind the harmful UV rays? Your neck skin needs sunscreen too, so never say no to sunscreen lotion and make your neck suffer. • Last but not the least; do not wear allergic metal ornaments or other street bought chains on your neck as they cause neck darkening.

Skin Problems - Is Dandruff The Cause of it?

DDVL, MBBS

Skin Problems - Is Dandruff The Cause of it?

Dandruff or seborrhea refers to the flaky condition of your skin or scalp caused primarily due to dryness. It is a very common problem for young adults and middle aged people, but can happen to any person regardless of age. Dandruff itself being an embarrassing problem, can also sometimes lead to other skin problems.

The following are a few skin problems that can crop up due to dandruff:

  1. Can cause pimple: If dandruff or the white flakes fall on your T-zone region very often, then it may lead to the breakout of pimples on your skin.
  2. May result in pigmentation: The pimples, which can happen due to dandruff can further lead to the problem of pigmentation. This condition leads to the appearance of unwanted black spots all over your face.
  3. Trigger eczema: Dandruff makes skin problems like eczema and psoriasis even worse. Eczema and psoriasis, which causes itching of the skin can get severe due to dandruff.
  4. Rashes are also a possibility: Facial rashes can also develop due to dandruff. Often areas around the eyebrows, nose and ears get affected. Sometimes, in case of men, beard rashes also pop up.
  5. Chest rashes: Dandruff often falls all over your body. This can lead to the problem of chest rashes. This condition results in the appearance of red spots all around your chest region.

Dandruff can be a very distressing problem. If your skin type is oily, dandruff can make conditions far worse. Dandruff is such a problem that cannot be completely cured, but can only be controlled. So, it is highly advisable to take preventive measures as soon as it is detected to avoid further problems.

Dear , gastric and liver issues are highly related to our diet habit and so the cholesterol is. So first of all try to change your food habits. Take good and healthy breakfast, lunch and do some cut off in your dinner specially. Don't take fruits immediate after your meal. And avoidy salty spicy and street foods. Apart from that consult privately for further consultation.

Am a 28 year old. Since 5 year am a chain smoker. Now am too weak. I wanna improve my health and I want to stop my smoking habit.

Doctor of Naturopathy & Natural Medicines, DM - Clinical Haematology
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Agra
Obviously, anyone who smokes should try to quit, regardless of caste, creed, age, gender or social status. Many of my patients who are smokers have a particularly difficult time kicking the habit. I suspect this is related to dopamine imbalance. Smoking releases a chemical response that mimics pleasure. By keeping your stress level in check, you will have an easier overcoming this habit. Here are some additional suggestions suited to you. • Keep a journal to record your progress on a stop-smoking program. Record the benefit you experience from not smoking. • Exercise vigorously to cut down on cravings. • Avoid situations that normally trigger the desire to smoke. Be especially wary of situations that cause anger, boredom, or depression. • When you have the urge to smoke, perform this deep breathing exercise: 1. Inhale deeply through your nose. 2. Slowly exhale through your mouth. 3. Repeat 4 to 6 times. • Swallow Indian "Shyam Tulsi" . Never chew it, Tulsi has a lot of Mercury in it. Thus, you can rather swallow Tulsi leaves rather than chewing it and hurting your teeth. Moreover, you can also use the juiced form of the Tulsi leaves as a herbal medicine. Precisely speaking, when you apply raw Mercury on your teeth, your teeth will start falling immediately. Tulsi reduces the craving for smoking.
