How to reduce negativity and imbibe positive thinking

These are some basic steps that many of us know but forget to think when in emotional distress sometimes. I am collating that for a quick recap.

Thoughts constitute an important part of one’s life. Those thoughts can be favourable or unfavourable. For a few people, those thoughts are unfavourable most of the times. They often keep thinking about the negative outcomes of a work. Their friends and people around them who keep hearing the same will also start wondering if that work can ever be successful. To come out of such situations, it is better to follow a few basic steps.

1. Do not speculate that that something might happen and start looking at the facts. Never come to a conclusion without any proof.

2. If an untoward incident happened in the past, don’t think that it will repeat itself again. For example if you have failed in an exam, it doesn’t mean that you will fail in every aspect of life.

3. Stop worrying about what is not happening and start focussing about what is happening. Many of us have faults in our thought process. Because of that, we tend to forget about the favourable incidents happening and only worry about those that didn’t happen.

4. Don’t spiral any incident out of control. For instance, if you call a friend and if she didn’t answer it, it doesn’t mean for sure that she is not interested in talking to you. If you are thinking like that, it means that you are also worried about petty issues. Inculcate patience. Just leave a message to your friend and forget that incident and start looking at what other better activities to do.

5. Lot of people keep saying that they are not intelligent and that they are not fit for anything. If you think like that, your results will also become the same. So, stop thinking like that and perhaps start thinking that you have some weaknesses and you have other strengths that will make you fit for several other activities. There are no 100% bad or 100% good people in the world. Don’t speculate forever about what your weaknesses are and talk to people around you to understand what they think about you.

6. Emotional thinking in negative circumstances can lead to lowering your self confidence. Instead of generalising that you are unfit, it is perhaps that you are unfit for a certain task or at a certain time only.

7. When problems occur in one’s family, you may think that you are the reason. Instead of blaming yourself, look for a solution and solve the problem. With the outcome, you will feel better.

8. When you hear remarks from someone, do not treat it as untoward attitude towards you. Everyone makes mistakes and you have committed a mistake which is not an anomaly. All that you have to do is to learn from the mistakes and try to not repeat such mistakes in future. It will not help to reminisce about the mistake forever.

It is highly important to realise negativity. Immediately after, think comprehensively about the issue analysing the facts and try to mitigate your negative thoughts. Try to talk to a friend or a family member or a counsellor to help you reduce such ill thoughts.

Pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. For pimples and to remove scars take following med. Berberis aquifolium q. X 14 days 20 drops twice in water. Use berberis aquifolium oin any company also drink plenty water. Have green vegetables. Stop oily food. Avoid night watching. Wash face with medimix soap 2/3 times per day. Contact me after 2 weeks.

Hi onion is very good vegetable to treat sexual impotence. It increases libido and strengthens reproducing organs. White onions are best for this purpose. Take about 5-10 gm root powder of ladyfinger in a glass of milk. Add 2 tsp of mishri in this milk and drink it. This will prove helpful in improving sexual vigour. Large chest like the breast of female is called gynecomastia. It mainly caused due to imbalance of male hormone called testosterone. Growth: fall ratio is 80: 20.20%of hair are always in fall phase. All together we have 1, 50, 000 hair on the scalp. Loosing around 50 to 100 strands on daily basis while oiling, washing and combing is normal. If the hair comes out even on slightest touch then it is considered as hair fall. But it need to check for growth and fall ratio. Consult trichologist.

There are no unequivocal studies to support any claim. May be stem cell treatment will offer some hope. Trials are on and you can join one. It is expensive as each cycle may cost over a lac of rupees depending upon the centre.

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Operation for delivery is just like any other major abdominal surgery where the layers of abdomen are cut delicately in layers to reach the uterus, delicately split open to take out the baby, placenta, fluids. Uterus is stitched in layers, a total of 3 including delicate top and inner layer and tough middle muscle layer, followed by stich on covering of entire abdomen, the delicate layer first and the tough rectus sheath which gives security to every organ including the long food pipe present within. Last layer is top layer with fat and muscle and followed by skin layer. Skin layer dries after 10 days and it looks as if nothing has happened, while so much has happened. After normal delivery it takes 6 weeks for every internal organ to get back in shape, after operative delivery it takes minimum 8 weeks for internal stitches to heal, there is risk of hernia if proper rest is not taken. Risk of infection if basic hygiene is not maintained by taking bath and keeping wound clean for 1st 10 days. She can take a bath after 7 days, do routine work for baby, feeding may make her sleep less because baby require a feed every 3 hours or so and it's worth doing so, no lifting of heavy weights like buckets or washing clothes and doing any post natal exercise minus professional supervision, eating a high protein diet like milks and curds and boiled eggs plus proteins supplements plus anything that does not cause distension, one knows about chicken peas, beans, certain raw salads etc. Yes do eat for 2 and do take rest while baby is sleeping for an average 20 hours in a day. Don't forget to take iron, folic acid and calcium tabs. She will be joining office after 2 months, I can only wish for a creche facility in office. Good luck to both of you, do share with her parental responsibly by helping her look after the baby.
