Please note the followings in respect to your queries: 1. Banana and Milk -- Bananas are full of calories and contain high amount of carbohydrates and potassium that give you instant energy. Whosoever want to gain weight must eat a banana daily in the morning with a glass of warm milk. Add a teaspoon of sugar in it. Moreover, you can also have it after your meals. Note – Don’t eat bananas when you are down with common cold. 2. Peanut Butter -- Peanut butter is a yummy spread for toast and bread. If you’re trying to gain weight, feel free to go for this high-calorie and nutritious food. Apply it on your whole wheat bread for breakfast and see how your weight increases within a short period of time. •Besides, you can spread a spoonful of peanut butter on fruits or vegetables like banana, apple slices, fresh berries, wheat germ or applesauce. •Alternatively, a peanut butter sandwich is also a good choice. If you have any medical disease that needs to be treated. Find a great personal trainer and yoga instructor to keep you consistent. Take Five phos - 4 tablets twice daily.

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

For increasing your weight Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit.

According to your height your weight is quite low. To increase your weight you take lots of boiled beans sprouts dates banana daily. Take seasonal fruits dry fruits cashew nuts and ground nuts daily. Go for a walk daily. Take proper rest. And avoid stress.

You have mentioned your correct history. You don't gain because of your impaired appetite. You may have some ayurveda medicine for increasing your hunger, having a beter digestion. That is the only natural way to increase your weight. You must start taking saunf 1-1 spoon after meals. Include heeng use in your diet. Also take proper ayurveda treatment. It may help you.

1. Start cardiovascular exercises like running, jogging, cycling etc. 2. Avoid carbohydrates and fats. 3. Avoid processed and junk foods. 4. Start exercising. Both body weight exercises like push ups, pull ups, squats and weight training in the gym is helpful. 5. Stay hydrated. 6. Have a light dinner. 7. Evening walk is always recommended. 8. Green veggies complete your nutrient requirements. 9. Consume all types of protein both from veg and non veg sources. 10. Sleep well.

Hi lybrate-user, I hope you're dong fine. If doctor has prescribed you apetamin he certainly knows what he's doing. But to gain weight you need to eat properly and grow your appetite. Im curious to know what are your thyroid levels and free and total testosterone are like? Because at the age of 20 you should be happy and cheerful. Please get a health check up done (Including Free & Total Testosterone, Cortisol, TSH, T3 & T4) You might be suffering from hyperthyroidism which can lead to fatigue, depression, weight loss and unable to weight gain, eating whatever you feel like but still not able to gain weight, appetite loss. There can be also another reasons like your lifestyle, stress issues, sleep etc. The key factor to gain weight and overcome depression is to exercises which will release GH, Testosterone and Dopamine (These hormones are responsible for muscle gain not just weight gain, overcome depression, makes you feel euphoric and happy, boost up your confidence level etc) with this you need to be particular about your diet and eat smartly not alot of food. Hi lybrate-user never take supplements here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. Congratulations.. You are alive... Life itself is a great gift. We turn it into a miserable one by constantly comparing ourselves with others. Underconfident people around us make it worse by constant criticism. Aim is to be strong and fit. To gain some weight, you need to eat healthy. Have lot of fruits and fruit juices. Take sprouts daily. Eat lot of nuts like almonds, cashew, peanuts. Drink full cream milk, curd, cheese, paneer. If your are non veg you can have more eggs, chicken. Go in for more dals, rajma, kabuli chana. Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid fried foods. Eat healthy No need for any supplements. Nature has best products. Go for regular walks / exercise / do yoga. Sleep well. Feel confident about yourself and be positive.

Hi lybrate-user, quality as well as quantity both are important in our life. Rice, curd in large quantities, spicy, fast foods and outside eatables are harmful and create laziness. Eat maximum salads and fresh seasonal fruits. If required dry fruits but only 3 - 4 in quantity. Drink lots of water and be regular on fresh vegetable soups. Most important minimum 7 hrs sleep. Slight meditation and yoga will be very much useful.
