Hair loss is mainly due to lack of proper nutrition, vitamin b6 and folic acid deficiency, unclean scalp, which blocks and weakens the hair pores, hereditary factors. The following home remedy would help you 1. Take 15-20 curry leaves 2. Add 1 lemon peel 3. Add 3 tbsp soap nut powder 4. Add 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds 5. Add 2 tbsp green gram 6. Grind the mixture and store in a clean, glass bottle 7. Use this mixture as a shampoo.

Precautions for care of your hair *take nutritious healthy food *have regular vigorous physical exercise so that blood circulation reaches hair follicles and nourishes the hair. *avoid mental stress and smoking and such unhealthy habits. *use warm or cold water for bath and not very hot water. * hard water is harmful. Boiling will reduce hardness. * when the hair is wet, it is weaker and don't rub too much with towel. * use wide toothed comb so that there is no pulling pressure on the hair. *your usual hair dye has large doses of ammonia, which changes hair texture, dries out the scalp and almost leads to hair fall. Natural products like shikakai and amla are better than chemical compositions of manufactured shampoos. *hair fall, dandruff and tendency for gray hair are dependent on several factors. We have good treatment in homoeopathy without causing adverse effects. These medicines are given internally, promote healthy growth of hair and prevent hair fall. Take homoeopathic medicine acid phos 30 twice daily and give feedback after 20 days.

My hair is falling till 6 years. I used many treatment and medicines but no advantage. What I do prevent this. Please suggest me.

Homeopath, Pune
Hair loss is a common problem for both men and women, and it has many different causes. Age, genetics, illness, and medications may all play a role. No matter what's causing your hair to thin, there are homeopathic remedies you can try to slow hair loss, stimulate the scalp and promote new growth. Get your daily recommended dosage of omega-3 fatty acids. One of the major causes of hair loss is inflammation, which is a common occurrence when your body isn't getting enough nutrients or is stressed from an underlying condition. Omega-3 fatty acids help to reduce inflammation and can lead to a reduction in hair loss as well as potentially helping your hair grow back. ◦Fish oil and flaxseed oil are good sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Take 2 capsules or 1 tablespoon of oil every day. ◦You can also consume omega-3s in the form of salmon, oysters, walnuts, and flaxseed in addition to supplementing your diet with capsules or pure oil. For better result consult privately.

I have a fever since 1 week and I took too much medicines but it didn't cured by those medicines in this case what should I do.?

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
u get yourself investigated first for such prolonged fever. ? Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defenses against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures..Also, the body's defense mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature ? Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or higher may be dangerous and demand immediate treatment The following medications may be used at home for mild to moderate fever : ? Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used for fever in children or adolescents or during a viral illness. ? An individual with a fever should be kept comfortable and not overdressed. Overdressing can cause the temperature to rise further.wear loose fitting clothes. ? Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) baths are a home remedy that may help bring down a fever ? The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. ? A fever can cause anyone to become very dehydrated. Drink plenty of fluids.. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami,Amla juice etc. ? Wash your hands frequently every day with soap and warm water for 15-20 seconds; especially before meals, or each time after you have returned from a public place or used public transport. ? Further therapy depends on the cause of the fever and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

Hello lybrate-user, first I want to congratulate. Actually third trimester of pregnancy is safe period for treatment. If it is painful for you then go for removal of your wisdom tooth. For temporary relief you can rinse with warm water by adding salt in it. But it is only for temporary relief.

How to Improve Your Libido Post Menopause

MBBS, F R S T & H London , Fellowship of College of General Practice (FCGP)
Sexologist, Alwar
How to Improve Your Libido Post Menopause

Menopause automatically brings about a dip in testosterone and estrogen levels in a woman’s body. It leads to certain changes in the body and also reduces libido. A drop in libido means that sexual arousal becomes a cause of concern. This can bring in certain problems in your sexual/conjugal life. Lower estrogen levels reduce supply of blood to the vagina, thus resulting in lubrication problems. A dry vagina during sexual intercourse can lead you to experience pain during sex.

There are some other factors that can affect a woman’s libido after menopause:
1. Problems in sleep
2. Anxiety and depression
3. Problems of the bladder
4. Certain medications
5. High stress levels

To remedy lubrication problems, use water soluble lubricants to lubricate your vagina. Avoid using non-water soluble products such as petroleum jelly as it can weaken the latex. Non water soluble lubricants are also known to aggravate bacterial vaginosis. You may also use vaginal moisturizers to address the issue. There are oral medications that are available, which cause the tissues of the vagina to thicken, thus causing less pain during sex.

Improving your libido
You can opt for estrogen therapy to reduce pain during sex as this therapy helps in vaginal lubrication. The main objective of estrogen therapy (Hormone Replacement Therapy) is to ease the discomforts associated with a deficiency of estrogen secretion in the body. You should consult a professional who will be able to guide and counsel you.

Certain other measures to rev up your libido have been listed below:

  1. Indulge in foreplay: Try and include activities such as oral sex and erotic massages in your agenda. Experimentation with foreplay can help spice things up between you and your partner.
  2. Try out new things: Change your sex poses, read erotic books or watch erotic videos as these may help in boosting your libido.

Bear in mind that menopause does not prevent STDs; you still need to take proper precautions before engaging in sexual intercourse. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist and ask a free question.

You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. For a start please follow: •Cut down the excess carbs. If you want to lose weight you should start by avoiding sugar and starch (like bread). A low carb diet reduces your hunger and makes it easier to eat less. And it might even increase your fat burning at rest. •Don’t skip meals. Skipping meals will not make you lose weight faster. That strategy backfires because your body thinks food is in short supply, so it slows your metabolism in order to conserve energy. Over time, the result is that when you do eat — even if you consume the same foods as always — your body will be slower to use the calories as fuel, thus creating a backlog of unwanted pounds. •Stay hydrated. You've heard it before, and you'll hear it again. That's because drinking 64 ounces of water daily is one of the easiest ways to speed up weight loss. Your body needs water in order to efficiently metabolize stored fat. When you shortchange your supply, you're likely to slow down that process, meaning it's more difficult for you to burn calories. An easy eight glasses a day (at least!) will keep your system running smoothly. •Start exercising. Strength training builds lean muscle tissue, which burns more calories — at work or at rest — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The more lean muscle you have, the faster you'll slim down. How do you start strength training? Try some push-ups or a few squats or lunges. Use your free weights to perform simple biceps curls or triceps pulls right in your home or office. Do these exercises three to four times per week, and you'll soon see a rapid improvement in your physique. •Go for an evening walk. An evening activity may be particularly beneficial because many people's metabolism slows down toward the end of the day. Thirty minutes of aerobic activity before dinner increases your metabolic rate and may keep it elevated for another two or three hours, even after you've stopped moving. What that means for you: Those dinner calories have less of a chance to take up permanent residence on your hips. •Take adequate rest. You should also make an effort to get enough good sleep, preferably every night. Strive to wake up refreshed of your own accord, independently of the alarm clock. If you’re the kind of person who always gets brutally woken up by the alarm ringing, you might never be giving your body adequate rest. •Supplement vitamins and minerals. Nutrient-dense, good food is certainly the foundation of weight loss. But an adequate amount of vitamin D can be difficult to ingest via food. In the case of a lack of sun (such as during the darker months of autumn and winter), it’s wise to supplement for multiple health reasons – and perhaps even for your weight.

Tip of my penis is sore and irritating from 2 weeks. Whenever the foreskin rubs penis tip it itches bad. When I pee there is no pain or itch, it's only when penis head rubs against foreskin.

Dear user. This could be inflammation or allergy. Clean the area with bath soap and keep it clean and dry for a couple of days. Do not masturbate or have sex. If the problem still persists, do consult a skin specialist. Take care.

Hi, I have a doubt regarding expiry of medicines. All of us know expired medicines should not be used. But unknowingly I have done such mistake as I fed it to my child. Doctor advised her vitamin d3 since birth and I used to do that. Recently I used a file without checking it's expiry. Today I came to know about. Could you please suggest that if medicines expires then also how long can it be used by somebody? It seems stupid but I need an opinion.

Homeopath, Raebareli
Please note the following in respect to your queries: If a medication is needed, and the patient is not able to replace the expired medication, there is no evidence that it is unsafe to take the medication in most cases. However, if a medication is essential for a chronic and potentially life-threatening disease, for example, a heart condition, seizure, or life-threatening allergy, it is probably wise to get a new prescription once expired. If an expired medication is for a minor health problem, for example, for a headache, hay-fever, or mild pain, it may also be safe to take it, although drug potency might not be 100 percent. Research has shown many military stockpile medications retained 90 percent of their potency in their original stock bottle. However, storage conditions of these medications were optimized for temperature and humidity, and probably do not mimic the typical storage conditions of the average household prescription bottle. If an expired medication is taken, and the patient notices the drug has limited or no therapeutic effect, the medication should be replaced. I do not think that there would be a adverse effect on you and or your child. Keep patience Do buy a new bottle and feed-him.
