Dear Mr. lybrate-user, Greetings. Going through from what you have said, your Back pain is in the Dorso-Lumbar Area and the pain going onto the Ribs is a radiating one. As your age is not known, You need to be investigated with Examination of Your Back and the Neurological examination to rule out any spinal canal stenosis (Narrowing) etc. Kindly consultant an Orthopedic Surgeon or a Neurologist. You can start doing exercises. You must do it under proper trained trainer and with good healthy diet. It would be good idea to do cross training which can improve stamina and power.

Strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain. Osteoarthritic Pain:Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Simple Knee Exercises would help to strengthen the quadriceps muscle which is the key muscle. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping a soft ball underneath the knee and you have to keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee. Knee Pain unable to walk one step with walker Her knees would have been totally damaged due to arthritis of both the knees. That's the reason she is unable to walk one step as there will be knee rigidity. Physiotherapy Treatment for Knee Pain You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately.

Hi please get your serum calcium and vitamin D3 levels done by blood tests. Do hot fomentation, and take adequate rest fir 3 days. Take pain meds also for 3 days. Do back muscles strengthening exercises under a physiotherapist show your blood reports to an orthopedic surgeon who may do further evaluation and management take protein rich nutrition's.Avoid lifting weights best wishes.

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

It is frequently due to vitamin and calcium deficiency. Sometimes it may also be due to improper blood circulation in your leg. Take vitamin supplements, fresh fruits, plenty of water daily. Consult an orthopedic surgeon if your condition does not improve.

First ascertain the cause for your back ache. Visit an orthopaedic surgeon and get the diagnosis done. It could be postural or it could a type of arthropathy that starts at young age for which some blood tests need to be done. Once a diagnosis is made then treatment could be planned accordingly.

Kindly show me a photograph & digital X RAYS of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Dear you can follow these methods for relief from Backache(back pain): * First correct your sitting posture. Do not bend your lower back.You can use lumber belt for support. * Do regular back strength exercises.Move your clockwise and anticlock wise. * Do not sleep on very soft bed ,sleep on slight hard cotton mattress. * Do Tadasana and Bhjangasana for back strengthening.If you can not understand these asans you can consult me. hi! give yourself time by undergoing physiotherapy for few weeks.sometimes it may take couple of months also. if u still feel there is no change in d pattern of the pain, go for surgery.
