Hello Doctor I'm Aashish from siliguri I'm 20 years old. Doctor I recently had pox so there are so many pox marks on almost my full body. I just wanted to know that how can I get rid from those marks.

Normally all these marks are due to healing of blisters of chicken pox. Being superficial. They mostly fade out over a period of few months to years. Only few may remain. So you can wait and see after a year how many remain. You may apply contractubex cream thrice daily and eukroma sg once in the night over scars. You may see the scar marks getting lighter in a few months. Lastlt I shall suggest you also see a skin specialist before you try my prescription. As applying drugs over long time without supervision is not an ideal thing.

Hi, Use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel or Bakson’s Fairness cream daily at night. Apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 – a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs. Home remedies: Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes And then wash it off with lukewarm water. After this, rub cucumber slices on your skin to soften and moisturize it. Do this 2-3 times a day. Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Make a paste of'Kasturi Manjal' (wild turmeric) with rose petals, saffron and raw milk which is very effective. To exfoliate your skin, mix two teaspoons each of lemon juice and sugar. Apply the mixture on your face, neck and hands. Scrub in a circular motion and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy once a week to enjoy glowing skin. Apply tomato juice over the area for good result. Avoid rubbing/ scratching the area. Avoid bleaching as well. Keep yourself well hydrated, drink 10-12 glasses of water daily. Avoid going out under the sun for few days.

I am 56 years old male and diabetic since 8 years. I am taking ayurvedic drug from Dr. in bengaluru. Of late I notice my toes and other foot fingers have become sensitive. Usually I get this sensation during night time and early morning. I started another ayurvedic medicine, madhunasini. My sugar checked through glucometer today morning is high, 270. Please suggest.

Your sugar levels are definitely high. Is it fasting or post prandial? kindly inform the dosage of the medicines being taken. Please be on strict diabetic diet and go for regular one hour walk either in the morning or in the evening. Get your blood tesed for hba1c which gives you the previous three months average of your blood sugar. Only then other medications can be prescribed.

It is important you eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and fibres and do regular exercise. Reduce all junk and oily foods .Reduce weight. Hi doctor's. Im 29 yrs. Daily I am having dry fruits like cashew nut (10 to 15), dry grapes (15 to 20), Date (5 to 7) and almond (10 to 12). But I heard too much almond is not good for health. So please tel me, is there any side effects?

It can cause constipation and excess of vit E and Mg in body too much of every thing is harmful. Do not take more .than 5 almond per day that too after over night soaking in water. Take without removing outer skin. Reduce quantity of dry grapes and cashew nuts.

Heatstroke treatment centers on cooling your body to a normal temperature to prevent or reduce damage to your brain and vital organs. To do this, your doctor may take these steps: immerse you in cold water. A bath of cold or ice water can quickly lower your temperature. Use evaporation cooling techniques. Some doctors prefer to use evaporation instead of immersion to lower your body temperature. In this technique, cool water is misted on your skin while warm air fanned over your body causes the water to evaporate, cooling the skin. Pack you with ice and cooling blankets. Another method is to wrap you in a special cooling blanket and apply ice packs to your groin, neck, back and armpits to lower your temperature. Give you medications to stop your shivering. If treatments to lower your body temperature make you shiver, your doctor may give you a muscle relaxant, such as a benzodiazepine. Shivering increases your body temperature, making treatment less effective. F you notice signs of heat-related illness, lower your body temperature and prevent your condition from progressing to heatstroke. In a lesser heat emergency, such as heat cramps or heat exhaustion, the following steps may lower your body temperature: get to a shady or air-conditioned place. If you don't have air conditioning at home, go someplace with air conditioning, such as the mall, movie theater or public library. Cool off with damp sheets and a fan. If you're with someone who's experiencing heat-related symptoms, cool the person by covering him or her with damp sheets or by spraying with cool water. Direct air onto the person with a fan. Take a cool shower or bath. If you're outdoors and not near shelter, soaking in a cool pond or stream can help bring your temperature down. Rehydrate. Drink plenty of fluids. Also, because you lose salt through sweating, you can replenish salt and water with some sports drinks. If your doctor has restricted your fluid or salt intake, check with him or her to see how much you should drink and whether you should replace salt. Don't drink sugary or alcoholic beverages to rehydrate. These drinks may interfere with your body's ability to control your temperature. Also, very cold drinks can cause stomach cramps.

You should know the fertile period and safe period of a female. Safe period is between 5 days before periods and 5 days after periods. Fertile period is between 10th day of periods to 20th day of her period. Ideally do sex between 13-16th day of periods. Chances are more during that period. Good luck.

Resting at night plays an important role in regulating your daily health and your level of energy throughout a day. Also, not only the quantity but the quality of sleep is also important for a healthy lifestyle. Bedtime habits do play a vital role in shaping up your lifestyle and personality as a whole. Here are many lifestyle habits that can help you to get sound sleep. 1. Make regular and a fixed sleep pattern: Going to sleep and waking up the same time every day helps to maintain an equilibrium in the sleep-wake cycle called diurnal rhythm. If this balance is maintained, then your body will be accustomed to this pattern and as a result, you will feel less tired and fresh throughout the day 2. Maintain a definite dietary regulation: You should also maintain a proper diet plan and observe the consequences/effects of the foods that you are eating and the fluids that you are drinking on your sleep pattern. Taking a good and properly nutritious diet on a daily basis will help you to stay healthy and help your natural sleep-wake cycle. 3. Ensure that your room has mild or dim lighting or darkness if you prefer: The level of light also matters at the time of your sleep. This should be done because the lesser is the light, the more comfortable you are while sleeping. Avoid daytime naps if you can , But Having short naps of less than one hour is absolutely okay if you are excessively tired during the day or you did not have a sound sleep the previous night. But, if you are consistently having long naps during the day then you are bound to have sleep issues during the night. So it is advisable to sleep early and wake up early for a healthy schedule. 6) Regular exercise: Exercising regularly helps to improve the overall quality of sleep by making you tired at night and sending you to bed more efficiently. Light to mild exercises also helps cure sleep disorders like insomnia.
