You will rue the day you become obese and have difficulty knocking down your weight. The whole world is fighting an almost losing battle with the bulge. As long as you are active and fit, do not worry about your emaciated looks. If you seriously want to put on weight, you can put on muscle mass. This can be achieved by going to a gym and the instructor or coach will help you in this regard: as a general rule, if you do brisk exercise you will develop muscle and if you do slow stretching exercises you will tone your body. Weight bearing exercise, even though it is on the slow side will generally, add much desirable weight. Food wise any increase in carbohydrates will tend to add to your bulk. By nature, if your basic metabolic rate is high, whatever you eat will easily get metabolized and will spare nothing to add to your weight. You could learn meditation and yoga to slow down your metabolism and that will also make you a calm person. Whatever happens, do not neglect your physical fitness with sufficient exercise, eat well, sleep well, be stress-free as much as possible, and have a good collection of friends.

Though you are smoking since 8 years, but still you can quit smoking, ifyou are motivated enough. Interventions for smoking cessation involves both pharmacological interventions and psychological interventions. Pharmacological measures includes- nicotex gums/lozenges/patches/sprays; bupropion; varenicline; clonidine; amitriptyline; dosage & duration of these interventions would depend on severity of smoke dependence. Practice yoga and meditation. Although you could technically consider yoga your daily exercise, practicing the deep stretches and slow body movements will help you to clear your mind. Meditating - clearing your mind - while practicing gentle yoga will give double the relaxation effect to ease your stress. Use guided imagery to imagine a place that makes you feel at peace. Imagine somewhere that you feel happy; focus on the details to fully remove your mind from the present. Do yoga alone or in a group setting to help you learn new poses. As you advance in your yoga, you will be able to form complex stretches that force you to focus and take your mind off your stress. Practice deep relaxation by doing progressive muscle relaxation. This is when you work through your body by tensing your muscles, holding the tension for ten seconds, and then releasing it. This will soften and relieve all the muscles in your body.

May be there are too many things on your mind, all the time. Try the following to improve your memory: 1. Every day in the morning before you start your day, sit at one place and practice slow, deep breathing for 5 minutes. If you are feeling very anxious, inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth and imagine you are exhaling all the anxiety, in you. 2. Write down all the important jobs to be done. Decide priority and start doing these jobs. After finishing put a tick mark. Keep referring to this list of jobs if you are forgetting all the time. 3. Take interest in all the work that you do. We easily tend to forget those things which are not of our interest. 4. Understand why finishing a particular job is important for you because if you find it worthless, you are more likely to forget it. 5. Play some memory games when you are free. 6. Be aware of your own feelings. If you are under lot of stress, you are likely to forget things easily. Learn to manage your stress. 7. Have enough sleep daily. 8. At night, make list of things to be done on the next day and read this list next day in the morning. All the best.

I think you are getting very anxious just before the exam that is the reason you are forgetting. You can see a counsellor who can help you with relaxation techniques so that you dont get tensed before the exam.

Menses can be missed either because of hormonal changes or even stress or illness or even if you have put on some weight in recent times then also menses can be missed. All these problems are temporary and menses will come on its own. You can wait for another 15 days before you can take tablet deviry to get menses.

Hi there ~ there are many ways to overcome depression. The symptoms of depression are the ones that usually are amenable to treatment. Easy to treat are the ones where you have missed out on the daily routines. Eat regular meals, drink enough water, exercise on a daily basis, sleep well and do not break the schedule. You know that you will ultimately get over the fact that you marks will not matter in the future but for the time being you need to take care of yourself and tide this crisis to go on forward and beat depression. Hello lybrate-user stress is somehow good thing in education system, without it we can't progress. Other side stress is depend on how you take matter or how you react matter. In successful life study or knowledge takes only 15%, rest of 85% are how you take matter and attitude so live in lightly without forgetting your target few tips will help you * take good balance diet * take proper sleep * don't worry if 5 marks come less * tragedy of today will be funny thing for tomorrow for you * take chyavanprash 1 tsp in morning * use ghee & milk in diet * you can start some ayurveda medicine, like brahmi, sankhpuspi etc.

I have been suffering from anxiety for last few days and was having sleep related problems. So I consulted a neurologist. And he prescribed nexito forte tab. To me. After having it for 2 weeks my anxiety problem was gone. But after a few months the anxiety problem is coming back again. So should I continue having nexito forte? Does it have any side effects?

Tablets will only remove the symptom and not the underlying cause. Anxiety is worrying about the future and not feeling prepared for it. You can talk to a counsellor who can help you to feel more prepared about the issues which make you feel anxious and help you find your strengths and work upon your limitations. It will also help you assess situations more objectively, weigh the pros and cons of each option and help in wise decision making. These skills will help you to tide over any future situations also which could be potentially stressful for you.

Dear Lybrate User, *Get Up Early, *Practice physical exercise, yoga, breathing exercise. *Massage body with simple coconut oil and bath with warm water, *Avoid maida related breakfast. *Avoid drinking water before taking foods. *Avoid more tea, coffee, soft drinks. *Lunch and dinner with green vegetables. *Drink more fresh fruits, or juices. *Take little dry fruits like cashew, almond etc. *Dinner should not be very late and half the quantity of lunch. *Lunch should be in good quantity. *Take buttermilk, milk with ghee daily. *Avoid stress, sleep 6-8 hours.
