Hello- Vagina k natural secretion mai kami ki wajah se ya fir vaginal PH acidic hone k karan ye dikkatein hoti hai. Aap apne khane pine aur sone ka routine correct karein, external lubrication ka use karein aur din mai 3-4 ltr water intake rakhein, problem solve ho jaegi.

Add salt after cooking

MBBS, AFIH, PGDMLS, MD-HRM, MD-HM
General Physician, Gurgaon
Add salt after cooking

Whenever we cook food, if the salt is added before the starting of cooking, the iodine gets evaporated and one does not get the advantage of 'iodised namak'.

This may lead to less iodine intake which is a basic need for Thyroid Hormones .. like T3 and T4 (Tri -Iodothyronine and Tetra - Iodothyronine) where the name itself suggests that they are ionised compounds.

Thus, if you remember this fact that cooking would evaporate iodine, you would develop a habit of cooking without adding salt and then add salt during the serving of the food. It would control Blood Pressure and Iodine Deficiency both as one would add less salt if he or she is hypertensive.

Hello, PCOS or pcod s a problem in which a woman's hormones are out of balance. It can cause problems with your periods and make it difficult to get pregnant. PCOS also may cause unwanted changes in the way you look. If it isn't treated, over time it can lead to serious health problems, such as diabetes and heart disease. The most common symptoms are: Acne.Weight gain and trouble losing weight.Extra hair on the face and body.Thinning hair or even hair loss on scalp.Irregular periods. Often women with PCOS have fewer than nine periods a year. Some women have no periods. Others have very heavy bleeding.Fertility problems. Many women who have PCOS have trouble getting pregnant(infertility), depression. Regular exercise, healthy foods, and weight control are the key treatments for PCOS. Treatment (hormonal) can reduce unpleasant symptoms and help prevent long-term health problems. Try to fit in moderate activity and/or vigorous activity often. Brisk Walking, jogging, dance or aerobics are great exercise that most people can do.Eat heart-healthy foods. This includes lots of vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, and whole grains. It limits foods that are high insaturated fat, such as meats, cheeses, and fried foods. Most women who have PCOS can benefit from losing weight. Even losing 5kg may help get your hormones in balance, regulate your menstrual cycle and can make you ovulate.

My gf had her last period on 15th july. On 23rd we engaged in foreplay where our genitals were rubbed against eachothers. I was naked but she had her underwear on. I did not ejaculate. She has not got her periods yet. We took a pregnancy test today morning and it was negative. What can be the reason for the delay? Can she get pregnant?

Food and Your Bone

M.sc - Nutrition Science

Food and Your Bone

Healthy bones are like banks, the more deposits you make, and the more withdrawals you can count on. Diet plays a major role in ensuring healthy bones. In particular, Calcium and Vitamin D need to be taken in the right amounts through life to build bone and slow down bone loss. Eating a healthy balanced diet, containing adequate calories, can help to improve your overall bone health not to mention your overall health.

The easiest way to obtain this is through the regular consumption of milk, cheese, and yogurt i.e. 3 servings each day from the milk group of foods. Teenagers and pregnant women need five servings each day.

A serving is equal to:

A glass of milk
An ounce {matchbox size} of cheese
A carton of yogurt

Tips to boost calcium intake
Dairy products are extremely versatile and can be included in the diet in many ways. Cooking does not destroy calcium, so it could not be easier to get your recommended number of servings each day. Serving suggestions include

A bowl of breakfast cereal with milk
Cheese on crackers or toasted cheese sandwich
Fruit salad with yogurt
A slice of pizza or lasagne
A fruit smoothie or milkshake
A frothy cappuccino or mug of hot chocolate
Baked potato with grated cheese

I don't like milk! What can I do?
If you do not like milk try the following to boost Calcium intake

Pancakes
Skimmed milk powder added to soups/smoothies/sauces
Porridge made with milk

I'm 20 years old and partner is of 18. She is suffering from Polycystic ovary Syndrome (something PCOS) cause of that she has irregular periods and bleeding every time. She consume birth control pills for that shake. I want to have oral sex with her. Is it safe to have oral sex (if I kiss her vagina?) or sex without using condom? Please guide.

BHMS, MD - Homeopathy
Homeopath, Gurgaon
Pcod curable by homeopathy. Oral sex is a mutual consent thing. But I do not think its very healthy. Birth control pills should be avoided at least before marriage as they create hormonal disturbance. Please do not do sex without a condom, she might become pregnant and it will not be good for either of you.

If you have tried for more than a year with regular sex (3-4 times a week) then you should get tube testing done with hsg i. E. Hysterosalphingography. After which the treatment should be started with clomiphene citrate to get pregnant.

It is absolutely safe to have intercourse in a patient of pcos. But do use contraceptive for preventing pregnancy as well as stds. Slight amt of pain is normal after intercourse. But she shud visit a gynaec if there is extensive pain. Also she shud be worked up for pcos and treated accordingly. Feel free to consult a gynaec.

Take some precautions during intercourse, Avoid pressure on your lower abdomen, Spooning position during intercourse is preferred during pregnancy. Also mild intensity women on top position can be found a bit safe. Try your best to avoid or minimize sexual activity during pregnancy. You should also consult gynaecologist for your condition of uterus and baby growing inside.
