Dear lybrate user. First of don't worry or fear your examination. You were studying for the last 8 months and everything is inside your brain. You learned many things from class room lectures, discussing with friends, taking class exams and term exams etc. All these knowledge is already available in your brain. Now as the exams started, just make sure you review every topic. Get 6 hours of sleep daily for sure. Eat moderately and drink enough fluids. There is no specific diet for exam period, still you can include fruits in your diet. Take care.

For control on hair fall you have to control on infections, medicines takes time to remove infections due to less blood supply in scalp skin. It requires proper medicines and care.

Pimples occur mainly due to hormonal imbalances which causes an overproduction of oil and cells inside a skin follicle. They block the opening of the skin pore and cause the follicle under the skin to swell and become red. It usually starts in teenage, but most of the time lasts into adulthood. Contact me a homoeopath to know your the cause of your pimples and let them advise you the medications and skin products most suitable to your skin for remarkable results without causing any harm to your skin!

I am 15 years old and I am studying 11th standard, till my 10th standard I was studying in a cbse school, but now I have shifted to state board, in my new school all our studying well, the school where I studied before I used to get first mark, but now in my 11th standard when I compete with them, I am always loosing the battle, whenever I lose, I feel that I am cheating them, nowadays I am getting 15 th rank, due to these reasons I am getting mentally weak and I have also started to loose my confidence and also to think negatively. What are the ways by which I can improve my memory power to win in my competition.

Dear , you know who you are and what is your capacity and ability. You know the more you try and work hard, the more you will be able score high marks. Please stop apprehension. Never relate your performance with change in school. There are no relations. There is only one factor. You are not getting good marks because you are not preparing well or you are anxious about the exams. You may see a psychologist for counseling. Alternatively you may opt for a motivation therapy. Take care.

Physiotherapy - How it Helps in Relieving Pain?

BPTh/BPT, Diploma in Acupuncture, Fellowship of Indian Acupuncture Association, Post Graduate Diploma in Mentamove Therapy, Clinical & Technical Training For The Gloreha Pro Device & Gloreaha Pro Device Maintenance

Physiotherapy - How it Helps in Relieving Pain?

Physiotherapy or physical therapy focuses on enhancing mobility and treating disabilities. Physiotherapy is used commonly in case of sports injuries, partial or complete paralysis, arthritis, neurological disorders, etc. along with helping the patient regain movement and improving flexibility, physiotherapy also helps deals with back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic headaches and injury related pain. This pain may make you want to simply curl up and stay immobile but this could be detrimental to your progress. Through physical therapy, a patient can learn how to function and move safely and thus becomes stronger.

Here are a few ways physiotherapy is beneficial for pain management.

  1. It teaches breathing techniques: Physiotherapy doesn’t only address the joints and muscles of the body, but also addresses the autonomic nervous system and involuntary movements that control the functioning of the organs. By teaching a patient how to breathe correctly through opening up the chest and neck muscles, physiotherapy helps improve blood circulation that further helps relieve pain.
  2. It helps with weight management: When it comes to rheumatoid arthritis and knee joint pain, being overweight is one of the key factors triggering the pain. This is because of the more your weight, the more the pressure on your joints and hence the more the pain. Physiotherapy helps increase a patient’s mobility and thus aids in weight loss. This, in turn, reduces the pressure on joints and pain associated with it.
  3. It strengthens muscles: Physiotherapy deals with both the muscles affected by an injury as well as the unaffected muscles. While it helps regain control over the injured muscles, ligament and tendons it also helps strengthen the unaffected muscles. This helps them compensate for the limited functioning of the affected muscles. By strengthening the muscles, physiotherapy also makes movement easier and helps reduce pain.
  4. It helps improve posture: For people with back problems, the way you sit and stand can make a big difference to the pain experienced. Physiotherapy teaches a person how to sit and stand straight so as to support the back muscles properly.
  5. It helps determine the right equipment: Having the right shoes can play a big role in alleviating pain associated with walking. Similarly, physiotherapy can equip a person with the right equipment to make movement easier and less painful. This could be as simple as a walking stick for arthritic patients or a robotic glove for patients who have paralysed hand muscles. Furniture such as supportive mattresses and office chairs can also help alleviate back pain.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Here are the top 6 kidney stone prevention tips: Hydrate with H2O. One of the best measures you can take to avoid kidney stones is to drink plenty of water, leading you to urinate a lot. So, be sure to keep well hydrated, especially when engaging in exercise or activities that cause a lot of sweating. Eat and drink calcium and oxalate-rich foods together during a meal. In doing so, oxalate and calcium are more likely to bind to one another in the stomach and intestines before the kidneys begin processing, making it less likely that kidney stones will form. Don't reduce the calcium. Work to cut back on the sodium in your diet and to pair calcium-rich foods with oxalate-rich foods. Take action! Without the right medications and diet adjustments, stones can come back, and recurring kidney stones also could be an indicator of other problems, including kidney disease. Next time you drive past a lemonade (or limeade) stand, consider your kidneys. Chronic kidney stones are often treated with potassium citrate, but studies have shown that limeade, lemonade and other fruits and juices high in natural citrate offers the same stone-preventing benefits. Beware of the sugar, though, because it can increase kidney stone risk. Instead, buy sugar-free lemonade, or make your own by mixing lime or lemon juice with water and using a sugar substitute if needed. To prevent uric acid stones, cut down on high-purine foods such as red meat, organ meats, and shellfish, and follow a healthy diet that contains mostly vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and low fat dairy products. Limit sugar-sweetened foods and drinks, especially those that contain high fructose corn syrup. Limit alcohol because it can increase uric acid levels in the blood and avoid crash diets for the same reason. Eating less animal-based protein and eating more fruits and vegetables will help decrease urine acidity and this will help reduce the chance for stone formation.

Dear lybrate user. Welcome to lybrate. Alcohol is poison. Your liver works hard to disintegrate alcohol and in the process damages itself. Therefore, there is nothing like safe limit. Even a single drop is bad for liver at any stage of your life. Please quit alcohol. Take care.

I have eczema like condition near my thighs. I had used Betnovate to treat it, but the condition keeps coming back after few weeks, especially due to sweating. Is there a permanent cure for it?

MD
Yoga & Naturopathy Specialist, Delhi
Yes. Buy a plastic brush having about 1" long flexible bristles. Rub your entire body with it during your bath when your body is wet and wash again. Do not rub the afflicted area. You will find this area reducing gradually. Let your skin get dry without using a towel after your bath. Drink a cup of spinach juice every day. Eat less salt for 4 weeks. Bethnovate is just a cream containing steroid. It has side effects. It will reduce your immunity levels and you will become vulnerable to more serious skin or other disease. Therefore it should be used under strict medical supervision only.
