Dr Suraj Manjunath is an eminent Cancer Surgeon and has trained in Premier Centers in India and abroad.  He has a wide experience in all types of cancer surgery.

His special interests include Minimally Invasive Cancer Surgery, ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) pathways in Oncology, Organ Conserving Oncologic Surgery, and Personalized Oncology.

He is the former Professor and Head, Department of Surgical Oncology, St John’s Medical College and Hospital  and has trained several batches of surgical oncologists as well as general surgeons.  He set-up and established the department at St. John's, developed the DNB and MCh (Surgical Oncology) program, and has been examiner in Surgical Oncology for four universities.

He was the first Indian recipient of SSO’s (Society of Surgical Oncology, USA) International Career Development Exchange Program in 2013/14

He is has 58 publications in clinical and research studies, all in peer-reviewed international and national journals, citations of which are available at https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Suraj_Manjunath/contributions

He has also presented dozens of papers in conferences acrossI India, the United States and Europe, and has received several awards for the same.

He is a member of the Panel of reviewers for several journals, including the  European Journal of Surgical Oncology, McMasters publications, and The Open Cancer Journal.

He Initiated and developed “Aadhara” – A Support Group for Breast Cancer Patients, and has developed and provided Community surgical oncology services in rural Karnataka and in the Andaman Islands in medically underserved areas
