My teeth is yellow type and I am daily brush through cleaning but over yellow dag is not go to you have any suggestions given to me please.

Hello. When brushing twice a day and flossing doesn't help improve your yellow teeth, it's time to consider other options. Teeth become yellow due to stains – both deep and surface-level – as well as other causes that sometimes aren't under our control. Although coffee and cigarettes leave stains on your teeth over time, thin tooth enamel also makes teeth look yellow. Tooth enamel is the hard, white surface of your teeth, and underneath it is a pale brown substance called dentin. Thick enamel looks white, but thin enamel allows dentin tones to show through, making teeth look yellow from the outside. Enamel naturally wears thin as people age, but acids from foods and drinks such as sour candies, oranges and soda also thin the enamel by eroding its surface. Saliva neutralizes acid and washes it away, but people suffering from dry mouth miss out on this protective effect. Other causes of yellow teeth include antibiotic use or excessive fluoride intake in young children, which can cause yellow-stained adult teeth later. Treatments for certain conditions can also affect tooth color. For example, head and neck radiation and chemotherapy can cause teeth discoloration. In addition, certain infections in pregnant mothers can cause tooth discoloration in the infant by affecting enamel development. Certain medication, mouth rinses can also causes yellow staining. Preventing Yellow Teeth: Avoiding smoking, coffee and soda helps prevent yellow teeth, or you can get into the habit of drinking those darker beverages through a straw. Drink milk or plain water after eating or drinking something acidic to help reduce the acid's eroding effect. Brushing and flossing also help, and avoiding snacks between meals allows your saliva to dilute the acids in your mouth too. Using over-the-counter whitening agents will also helps. Discolorations are generally responsive to bleaching procedures.

brushing tips

brushing tips
While brushing hold the bristles of yr brush at 45degree angulation to the gum line. Both the gum line and tooth surface should come in contact with the brisles. Brush gently to avoid gum bleeding. Brush twice to prevent acid build up from bacterial colonied. Rinse thoroughly after meals.

Hi you have chronic gingivitis with plaque or tarter deposition go for deep cleaning and scaling. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Brush regularly two times daily with soft bristle toothbrush. Rinse your mouth with chlorhexidine mouthwash. Floss your tooth to prevent food impaction.

Start using colgate soft bristles toothbrush with colgate toothpaste twice daily n don't brush too hard. Do warm saline rinses once or twice a day. Still if d condition is same then get d cleaning of teeth done from a nearby dentist.

Hi, to all dental phobic patients dental treatments are not painful and not risky compared to other treatments what we take, my only request is keep minimal knowledge of ur teeth when u people have any dental problem and visit a dentist , the dentist tells u the treatment take a day time and find the complete treatment details on Google this take little pain for you but don't u feel gettng a wrong treatment blindly done taking this little pain is better, though iam dentist I tell to all the patients that there r many dentists who do wrong treatments just for money, in this way I want to tell all dentists that there r dental phobic patients increasing and patients r loosing hope on dentists. The patients are paying money for there treatment so a simple honest treatment is necessary with correct diagnosis.

Since teeth cleaning is as important for children as for adults, they should use a toothbrush which has a small round head and soft bristles. It helps in cleaning their milk teeth thoroughly.

Brush twice a day and floss daily even when your braces are on
Brush twice a day and floss daily even when your braces are on. The food particles get stuck into the braces very easily. It is very important to keep them clean.

I have chronic bad breath issues. I have been to dental clinic and all seems fine. Need help now what to do or where to approach.

BDS
Dentist, Jodhpur
Bad breath, technically known as halitosis, may occur due to several reasons. Most common cause is bad oral hygiene. If you r maintaining good oral hygiene than other reasons could be related to your stomach and intestines. Bad breath may also result due to acidity in stomach or may be due to constipation. Dry mouth can also be the reason. So consult your dentist and physician for the needful. Drink plenty of water and have more of juicy fruits.

I am suffering with repeated mouth ulcer since I have started taking medicine. Whats the reason?

BDS, CDE Endo-Prostho, CDE - Cast Partial & Complete Dentures
Dentist, Pune
Hello. You can add a pinch of baking soda in water and rinse with it. This will help to heal your ulcers. You need to visit a physician and get your Vitamin B levels checked. Take supplements for it if required.

You are having sensitivity issues in your teeth which can be difficult to control at times, for time being use anti sensitivity toothpaste, but I doubt that without adequate diagnosis and treatment by the dentist you will get any relief.

My teeth are getting sharper and also little hole in it. Sensitive is also the problem. please suggest, how to get rid of it. Thanks.

BDS
Dentist, Rewari
Sharp teeth can be smoothed easily in 1 sitting by dentist, even hole (cavity) filling can be done. With filling your sensitivity will get ok or you can use desensitising paste.

My friend is having sensitivity in her tooth from hot and cold from one week, pain is also there. Pain gets increase during night. What is the problem?

Certified Implantologist, BDS
Dentist, Ambala
Pain during night is because of lying down in bed. This is a classic sign where you need to get the involved tooth treated because the nerve inside the tooth is hurting you. Most probably you will have to go for rct followed by crown prosthesis to save the tooth. Act before the pain aggravates. In between take any pain killer you take at home twice daily for interim relief. I hope this helps.
