I'm doing brush with soft brush regularly but why teeth have seesivity problems please tell me.
A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Hello, I am Dr Rukmani Lalit and I am a dentist, practising since last 8 years. I am doing dentistry as my health job. Just to explain you few things about your health care and dental health care.

Nowadays people are very much interested in dental care, dental accessories, dental aesthetics cosmetics. By the basic thing is the cleaning of the oral cavity, the health of the oral cavity and the cleanliness. I just want to share the Dental cleanliness or the oral health cleanliness.

First thing is that how to do the brushing properly?

The teeth should be clean and clear. And not only it should be the brushing of teeth but also continues with the flossing of the teeth.

Do you all believe in the brushing of teeth after the meal?

It is not necessary to brush your teeth but you have to follow some flossing procedures. Brushing will help in teeth cleaning in the maximum aesthetic areas. But dirt collects in between the teeth as well which can be cleaned with the help of flossing. By the help of flossing you are not removing the plague, but also you can target those areas which might have been with the food stocks and get it cleaned.

When you floss, you are not only protecting your teeth but also self-guarding your gums. It is the cause of the development of the healthy tissues that loose the tooth. It may lead to Periodontal disease like Gingivitis, peritonitis. You may tatter away from the gums and keep the teeth healthy. It is a more appropriate reason for the healthy gums and the healthy teeth.

The second version of such case is when the plaque stays on the teeth for more than 24 hours, it can cause decay of the tooth enamel surface. It will cause decay of Dentinal tubules. It will cause soft tissue involvement which will lead to inflammation of your teeth. Actually, it is the main purpose to remove the plaque and the tartar, present in your oral cavity which should be clean and clear. It will increase your health, your oral health as well as your systematic health.

For further information or the consultation, you can contact me through Lybrate.

About Tooth Implants

Certified Implantologist, Aesthetic , BDS

Hello, everybody, I am Dr Priyanka Puri. I have been practising for the past 12 years. My specialization is aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry and I’m an implantologist also.

So today we are going to talk about implants which is a hot topic nowadays for patients and for practising doctors also. So when is that you can have an implant in your mouth. You can have an implant in your mouth when you have a missing tooth. Like you can see in a model here. There is one tooth that is missing. This is a lower molar. In actual the teeth are placed like this in your mouth. So there are the roots, there is the crown and where there is a missing tooth you can see the empty socket here. So when you have a missing tooth in your mouth there are ways to replace it and with the latest technology, we can have a fixed tooth in your mouth which has no relation to your adjacent teeth.

What is an implant?

Implant is nothing but titanium screw. As you can see in this model. The implant is a titanium screw which is made up of titanium and titanium has this unique property of binding with your Alveolar bone. This is how an implant is placed in your socket and this is how it will be inside your bone and as we are talking about the lower jaw we put this implant in your lower jaw bone. We leave it there for three months in case of lower bone and in case of upper bone for six months and this time period is very important for the implant to re-mineralise to reintegrate to become the part of your bone. This is the unique property of titanium and after that what we can do is we can give you a cap with which you can apply all the masticatory forces and you can eat with this tooth. As you can see in the model it is independent of your front and back tooth. It has no relation with your front and back tooth. It is totally independent. And you can see from inside also. This complete procedure takes about three months for the lower jaw and around six months for the upper jaw in case there are no bone deformities, there are no bony disturbances.

One of the important concerns or things which would like to confirm from the patients is the sugar levels, and his or her habits. Because of sugar if it is not at the level if it is fluctuating sugar levels. Then implants success rate will go down and in case you are a heavy smoker then also implants success rates will also go down. But otherwise, implants have a success rate of 90 to 95% all over the world. So it’s great of restoring your missing tooth.

In case you have any doubts you can consult me in my clinic at smile experts or you can connect to me on lybrate.

Oral health is as important as your overall general health.Do visit ur dentist twice a year and do not ignore dental problems.

Three days back my baby hit me on my front tooth upon which I have undergone rootcanal 3 years back. Since yesterday I have severe pain in the root of that tooth and the adjacent tooth.(2-1 and 2-2) and one side of the face has swollen. Local dentists gave me antibiotics and pain killers. Is it the right procedure?

•If there is pain inside your root canal treated tooth, you may need re-root canal treatment or tooth extraction after proper investigations.

Saving a fallen tooth can be useful. Try to keep it in place while you seek immediate medical attention. If that is not the case, try wrapping the tooth in a piece of plastic or soaking it into milk and call for immediate dental service.

If your child's age is between 9-12 years and his/her front teeth or jaws are looking forwardly placed then consult orthodontist as soon as possible as this is the proper age to treat your child by modifying jaw growth if there is any imbalance between upper n lower jaw.

I have spot on my teeth it is not going so I think for scaling is it any harmful effect or side effect please help me.
Scaling does not cause harm. It has transformed the teeth of many people who were in need of it and their teeth and gums became much healthier as all the accumulated dirt was removed which cannot be done by just brushing. So if the spot on your teeth can be removed by scaling and if the dentist you visit suggests that you need it you can go for it without any fear. If your teeth have deposits it will definitely make them better and healthier. If you also maintain oral hygiene well after a scaling its effects will be much better.

MDS Prosthodontics, B.D.S

Please kindly fix an appointment with a dentist and do the needful. If teeth has been removed, its advisable to go for a denture. There are options available. For eg you can also go for a removable type denture or also a fixed type.
