How to control bad breath. . I spend more then 8hrs in front of system. What's the solution?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Gurgaon
1. Take one clove after every meal and chew it. This is very effective natural cure to reduce bad breath. 2. Chew some cardamom seeds to get rid of bad breath. 3. Chewing a few mint leaves frequently can get rid of bad breath and it is a good mouth freshener too. Diet- 1. Increase the intake of foods rich in zinc as they help in preventing bad breath. Zinc helps maintain the anaerobic bacteria balance inside the mouth to keep it free of foul smell. 2. Increase intake of vitamin c and vitamin e rich foods. 3. Drink lots of water to keep mouth and body well hydrated. 4. Avoid constipation.

Dear friends, these days there is a great scare of dengue all over. I wish to share a few things.
1. Once infection occurs, one can get fever within 1- 7 days.
2. Fever, usually high, comes daily for 4-5 days. This time is troublesome due to fever & body aches. At this time, patient should be given lots of fluids, water, juice, cold drinks, tea, milk or soup any thing can be given. Just keep patient well hydrated. One simple way is to see tongue. It should appear wet. Also patient should pass adequate urine. Some people will not be able to drink adequate fluids, due to vomiting, pain abd, or just apathy for any thing orally. If patient can't take enough orally, and his urine output is getting less & lesser, this is an indication that patient should be admitted for intravenous fluids. Pl take him to nearby hospital. One important thing to remember is, the blood test should be done early in the fever, but rather than plt count, at the fever stage we should see hb level. It should be within normal basal limit of that patient.

If you find hb is high, it is a danger sign, even if plt count is normal. Most of people including doctors wait for plt count to fall, & keep waiting, telling patient not to worry as plt count is normal. But this is wrong. Recent rise of hb should not be overlooked. If it is 14 or more, we need to give fluids very rapidly, oral as well as i. V. To bring down hb level to basal level. So do not wait for plt count to fall, take action when hb has gone up, even when plt are in normal range.

Next stage starts when fever becomes normal. At this stage, patient feels better, but plt count is likely to progressively go down. Still, we need not worry due to falling plt count. A count upto 10, 000 is certainly safe, unless patient has active bleeding. There is no role of plt transfusions in a patient, who has no active bleeding. So pl do not insist for plt transfusions in the absence of bleeding.

So friends, let us remember-
1. Once patient has fever, start plenty oral fluids, (appx. 3-4 litres in an adult,& proportionate in children).
2. Give paracetamol for fever. No aspirin/ brufen/ numulid etc.
3. Monitor for breathless during this period, especially when patient does not have fever. If patient complains of breathless ness, when he is afebrile, take him to a doctor. This is important symptom & indicates severe infection, iikely to worsen. Do not overlook breathlessness, especially when patient does not have fever.
4. Once fever settles, this is the time when plt count will fall further. But do not panic, mist pts will recover without complications, just be in touch with a doctor.
5. With best wishes for a dengue free delhi.

How Good is an Organic Food?

MD - Consultant Physician
General Physician, Bhopal
How Good is an Organic Food?
“Healthy eating paves the way for a healthier life!” goes the maxim which underlines the importance of organic foods in our life. If your food is not giving the benefits of nutrition, safety and sustainability, it’s not worth eating at all. Your health would directly be impacted in the way foods are grown or cultivated.

Organic crops are cultivated only in safe soil, given minimum possible modifications and kept absolutely away from synthetic pesticides, harmful fertilizers and detrimental chemicals. As a result, such foods would be more beneficial to the body than the conventional ones where a hell lot of tempering and chemical spraying is done.

Following are some benefits of organic foods:

Better health

Since such foods are not grown through chemicals and fertilizers, they largely remain free from harmful ingredients. Furthermore, they are cultivated so purely and effectively that they always have a good impact on the overall health of the consumers and hence, remain in a great demand across the globe

Better taste

In terms of taste, such foods are found to be far better than those grown through the use of harmful fertilizers and chemicals. Due to utilizing organic way of production, such foods are bound to taste better. They are preferred more for their dual benefits of nutrition and taste.

Nutrients

Safely-grown crops would be more beneficial to health than those who are grown in somewhat contaminated environment. Organic foods would be free of pollutions of soil, air and water as they are kept away or cultivated away from the harmful impacts of chemicals. And once the environment for cultivation is beneficial, the body would get the desired nutrients out of the end-products.

Healthy produce

Organic foods are kept away from harmful pesticides like fungicides, insecticides and herbicides. Unlike conventional agriculture, organic foods would be healthier due to not being exposed to pesticides. After all, a body can only benefit from healthy produce and organic foods meet that target.

Disease-fighting substances

Organic foods are known for their being rich with disease fighting substances which benefits the health a lot. Such foods contain higher levels of numerous antioxidants and essential vitamins which are used to fight disease. They would have more of Vitamin C and minerals and thus, minimize chances of diseases.

Persistent headache and temporary relief associated with pain killers requires evaluation. Headache at young age can be due to 1. Tension headache : Pain is band like constriction at forehead. Simple analgesics like paracetamol will help. 2. Migraine : episodes of severe headache, generally one sided and associated with nausea or vomiting, photophobia / phonophobia. Migraine treatment requires lifestyle modifications and painkillers. 3. Headache can be due to refractive error (vision defect ). Simple vision check and wearing spectacles accordingly can help. 4. Sinusitis: Headache with nasal discharge, fever and throat pain. Consult an ENT specialist in such cases. Other causes of headache can be cluster headache, tumour, meningitis, cervical spine diseases, and many more. Consult a doctor if headache worsens or persists or develop neurological problems like seizures, loss of consciousness or weakness of hands or legs.

I am 22 year old and I do masturbation 2-3 times in a week. So it is very harmful for me or not.

BHMS
Homeopath,
I am 22 year old and I do masturbation 2-3 times in a week. So it is very harmful for me or not.
Dear lybrate user, masturbation should not be done for more than twice in a week. Sperm cells are being continuously produced inside human testis. A single sperm cell needs about 4 months to mature before being ejaculated. Masturbating ejaculates many mature as well as immature sperm & results in the temporary deficit of sperm count. This loss of sperm results in the increased production of sperm. A sperm is mainly made up of protein. An increased production of sperm count needs a steady supply of protein. This supply of protein is met from the amount of protein we intake daily. Over masturbation increases the rate of production of sperm to such extent that the demand for protein cannot be fulfilled naturally & it often results in breakdown of protein from muscle tissues. This breakdown of muscle tissues is externally manifested as fatigue, weakness etc. Addiction to masturbation denotes that you are continuously indulged in sexual thoughts. This type of thoughts is common in people who live a sedentary life. If you really have a sedentary life-style you should get yourself out from it immediately. Socialize yourself. Do some physical exercise daily. Drink a lots of water. Create a routine of your daily schedule & maintain it. Stop watching porn in case you have developed a habit of watching it also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture origanum q, 10 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. This medicine will help to control your excessive sexual desire. However, you can masturbate for twice in a week. In order to minimise the after-effects of over-masturbation you can take homoeopathic cinchona officinalis 30 or china 30, 5 drops, thrice daily in empty stomach. This medicine will help to fight the seminal debility caused by the sexual exertion created by over-masturbation. Also I would like to advise you to conduct your semen analysis test. It will reveal the abnormalities in your semen if you really have any. If you find any abnormality in your semen analysis report then you should obviously consult me privately via lybrate.
