Mr. Lybrate-user, it is not possible to say whether the symptoms observed by you of diabetes or not. In diabetes patient may feel early fatigue, unexplained weakness, excess urination, excess hunger and thirst. It is better if you get blood checked for fasting and pp plus hba1c%. That should help in clarifying whether there is diabetes.

Hi doc I have been on rest for 9 months due to injury. Hi lybrate-userdeposition of fat at your belly, chin, buttocks add negativity to your personality so here are few tips to dissolve it. 1. Avoid using direct and simple sugars. Try to include complex carbs in your diet so the digestion process will take some time to work to convert it into glucose. 2. Avoid junk foods such as pizza, burger, french fries and alike food stuffs. 3. Avoid processed foods. 4. Avoid sodas. 5. Restrict down the intake of artificial sweeteners. Instead you can crab on natural sugars, such as stevia. 6. Include protein of good biological value. 7. Add insoluble and soluble fiber in your diet. 8. Have plenty of cold water. 9. Have 2 portions of fruits and salads daily. 10. Inclusion of omega family fatty acids and especially omega 3 and omega 6 11. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hello Mr Venu, I can understand ur concern. Oily skin, dark spots, darkness around the eyes happens because of various reasons. And derma roller is not the proper remedy for that. These needs proper medicines. And pimples mainly happens because of hormonal imbalance, stress, diet etc. That can be easily controlled by medicines and creams. Hi. It's normal to loose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin) , different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, take Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. Investigations advised: Get your blood tested for (empty stomach) - CBC, S. Iron, S. Folic acid, S. Ferritin, S. Calcium, S. Vitamin D3, S. Vitamin B12. If there is any family history of Thyroid dysfunction, get Thyroid function test done as well.

  1. Limiting intake of dairy products will help in managing diarrhea, abdominal pain and gas problems.
  2. Eat high fiber foods, such as fruits, vegetables whole grains. The sitoindosides in dried, unripe bananas increase mucus in the digestive tract, which provides a strong protective coating to help prevent and heal ulcers.
  3. Yogurt and buttermilk are excellent for maintaining a balance of beneficial bacteria in bowels.
  4. Maintain a healthy weight. Obesity may cause increased pressure in the abdomen which leads to acidity.
  5. Avoid eating heavy meals late at night, finish the last meal, preferably 2-3hrs before bedtime.
  6.  Avoid acidic foods and juices that make the symptoms worse like pepper, spicy foods, chocolates, and high-fat foods.
  7. Drink plenty of fluids, have at least 10 glasses of water. Avoid caffeine which stimulates the intestines and makes diarrhea worse, while carbonated drinks produce gas.
  8. Manage stress. Although stress does not cause ulcerative colitis it may aggravate symptoms and even delay healing.
  9. Get enough sleep so that the body has time to repair and regenerate damaged cells without the demands of digesting food.

Stomach aches or abdominal pains are one of the most frequently reported health complaints faced by children. Children below the age of twelve are known to suffer from recurrent stomach pain. While pains such as these lead to momentary discomfiture, they also lay the path for graver worries if neglected for too long. Your child may feel sick and bunk school for two days; rest and home care can restore his or her health, but that in no way, is the best suited way of dealing with the situation. If tummy aches resurface over a certain period of time, parents should be cautious enough to look for the root cause and should try to eliminate it accordingly.

Widely noticed causes of stomach aches in children:

  1. Unhygienic food can affect the child’s digestive system.
  2. Intolerance to a certain food item should not be overlooked.
  3. Perpetual anxiety can make the tummy twist and turn.
  4. Urinary Tract Infections can also lead to acute abdominal pain.
  5. Serious factors such as gallstones or appendicitis could also be present. Immediate expert consultation is advised in such a case.
  6. Caffeine and packaged soft drinks can be harmful.
  7. Butter, ghee and other greasy products can trigger tummy aches.

Ways to treat tummy aches in children:

  1. Keep children away from gas producing food items: Food that is hard to digest should be avoided. Lentil soup or dal should only be consumed in limited amounts to prevent the formation of gas. Don’t let your child have too many nuts regularly.
  2. Keep them hydrated: Fluid intake should be monitored. A child should drink at least six to seven glasses of water per day. Fruit juices or soups can also be given to them alongside main meals. This helps digestion.
  3. Do not stack up food in one go: Eating a lot in one meal is a bad way of satisfying hunger. Have smaller meals in more numbers. Six to eight meals will keep your child full and will also eliminate chances of acid reflux which happens either due to an empty stomach or too much piling up of greasy food.
  4. Timely check - up with the doctor: If tummy aches refuse to go away, take your child to a doctor for a thorough check- up. Administer medicines as prescribed by the physician.
