Please take pain killer and then visit to a dentist for proper treatment because your teeth would be affected with deep caries.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash.

Why do have dark gums. They were fine when I was a child. How to make my gums pink again?

BDS
Dentist, Ghaziabad
N o the color of the gums cannot change. The blackish color is the melanin pigmentation of your gums.

What I do to make my gum pink ? these black gums spoils my personality. Please suggest me what I do ?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. Quit habits if any. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. Advance procedures (for pink gums) can be done with laser. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

I had root canal treatment almost 10 years ago due to an injury in 3 teeth. Now the teeth have started becoming darker in color. Is this expected after rct? I was not told of any such effects while undergoing the surgery.

BDS
Dentist, Noida
Usually after an r. C. T teeth start becoming gray in colour after a couple of years. Depending on the tooth position in the mouth, if crowning is done, then this problem will not come at all. I do not think that you have crowns over these teeth in question. Kindly get a proper check up done from a good dentist & get the needful done. Take care.

Hi rocky. This can be durme to various reasons. But for a primary treatment use benzocaine gel on the affected ares half an hour before the meals. Have B-comlex vitamins and lastly do give the ulcers some time and clean oral environment to heal. Avoid the spicy food at oreaent as can have the same after your ulcers heal. Regards.

Hi. In my r8 side of gum where the teeth is end there is a swelling and pain. So please help me by giving a suggestion which reduce my pain.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Treat the infection with appropriate antibiotics. You can also take pain relievers such as aspirin paracetamol or ibuprofen. If the pain and inflammation are severe, or if the pericoronitis recurs, oral surgery to have the gum flap or wisdom tooth removed may be necessary.

Gingivitis gingivitis is the first stage of gum disease. Plaque on your teeth and at the gumline that is not removed by brushing and flossing can infect the gums and lead to the symptoms of gingivitis. When gingivitis occurs, your gums may become swollen, tender and sometimes bleed during brushing. This early stage of the disease responds well to good brushing and flossing habits and regular dental checkups.

Suffering from mouth ulcers. It is caused by changing the toothpaste brand. Firstly, in my inner mouth it feels like my mouth is being cut by small knives then the cut portion changes into painful ulcers.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

Hello sir before some days when I am doing brush at morning blood is come to my teeth what is the reason and also when ever time blood is come.

MDS
Dentist, Kota
This is due to inflammation in gums. (either gingivitis or periodontitis). Need to rule out the causative factor. Commonly its due to deposition of food debris around gums.

How does sugar damage our teeth, and how should I get rid of it please time some home remedy.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Our mouth is full of hundreds of bacteria, many of which are beneficial to the oral ecosystem. However, certain harmful oral bacteria actually feed on the sugars you eat to create acids that destroy the tooth enamel, which is the shiny, protective outer layer of the tooth. Cavities are a bacterial infection created by acids, that cause your teeth to experience a hole in them. Without treatment, cavities can progress past the enamel and into the deeper layers of the tooth, causing pain and possible tooth loss (a)Avoid Certain Foods/Drinks When Possible: We’re not asking you to give up your morning coffee, just to reduce the intake of the above foods as much as possible. Sometimes simply being aware can help us make better choices. (b)Drink Water: After you’ve consumed a tooth-staining food or drink try to immediately follow it with a glass of water. Swirling water around your mouth can drastically help clear away the acids or staining. This simple step is free and easy, and can drastically help reduce tooth discoloration. (c)Proper Dental Hygiene: Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental checkups help keep teeth healthy for a lifetime. Develop these habits early and you’re less likely to have dental problems down the line. (d)Teeth Whitening: The good news is that there are many options available to whiten teeth. Some can be done at home while others can take help of Homoeopathic medicines. Homoeopathic medicine HEKLA LAVA TOOTH POWDER ( WHEEZAL) Scrub teeth daily night RINSEOUT ( SBL) Gargles 20 drops in 20 ml luke warm water.Gargles 3 times daily while holding water for 20 seconds in mouth esp.after meals.

Hello there. It's good that you have described of your freinds problem in detail. Ask your friend to have cool relaxed mind as hiv doesn't spread with oral fluids or saliva. The route of spread is only through semen if there was contact during the oral sex or if there was contact with blood. This is all possible only if the guy she met is been diagnosed with hiv. If you want to have a peace of mind then contact the person with whom intimacy was maintened and have him checked. And yes next time please keep in mind that protective measures go a long way I hope I clarified your doubts if not please buzz me goodluck and god bless
