Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold foementation. # do not sit on ground. # use lumber support. There are various non sugical treatment options for back pain according to your health and severity of symptoms. Kindly reply in private consultation to discuss detailed treatment plan. Hi, I met an accident a month ago that led to fractures in my tibia and fibula bones. Apart from that it lead to a foot drop condition. To determine the severity of the same an EMG Nerve Conduction test was done. The neuro physician suggested that I might need a surgery to fix the foot drop. How frequently does that happen? Kindly help.

Foot drop happens when the common peroneal injury gets injured around fibular neck naturally. Or When there is a damage to the nerve by surgery or by tourniquet or direct pressure. Time to recovery before making a decision to operate is 6-9 months. Surgery is difficult and mainly revolves around tendon transfers. By that time try doing passive ankle exercises and maintain plantigrade posture at ankle.

This could simply be because of B12 deficiency as it is required for nerve functioning...and deficiency of this vitamin can cause such symptoms. So, get yourself checked for B12 deficiency and start a supplement as per your doctor's advice.

I am a 25 year old male, met with an accident this morning. I was riding a bike which fell down on right side, shoulder and elbow are paining severely just able to move a bit, however there is a small external injury. My shoulder is not moving firmly with elbow. I have seen a doctor near by as advised by him I have to keep my arm in arm sling for a week. Can you please advise any other alternative to this as the pain is unbearable (got confirmed that this is not a fracture) Your urgent advice would be appreciated.

No movements would help now, the more you move your shoulder the more it will pain. Rest is the only advice for shoulder joint. Movements at elbow and wrist and fingers can be continued. Ice application at swelling site is preferable. Movements at shoulder can be resumed once pain has come down. Take care.

This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.

I am suffering from Ankylosing Spondylitis.
What precautions & medicine should I take?
Take Kalmia 30 one dose and then Cosmos 30 3 doses 3 times a day for a month. Let me know the results. As for the precautions, your diet should contain less amounts of carbs and even lower fats. You can reduce some quantity of fats that you consume. Also, drink more milk and other milk products for calcium and Vit. D.

Please note that there is a muscle pull/injury to tendons while playing. You need to rest for some days. Apply hot compresses if this relieves you. Also take mag phos 6x - twice daily for next 7 days. Take care.

Lybrate-user ji you should not run after the surgery for acl. Do not bend your knee more than 90 degree. Do not use stairs as far as possible. You can walk fast. You should be able to swim without pain. And most imp thing you should reduce your weight by minimum 10 kg.
