Lybrate-user as per your history it due to some irritating factor deposited within gum which is responsible for gingival inflammation. Consult your nearby dentist n go scaling of the same.

You can take a pain killer tablet like brufen 400 / combiflam /diclogem for a temporary relief and consult a dentist for proper treatment of the tooth to avoid same problem in future. (note: pain killer tablets are also not solution because they only treat the symptom and not the cause of tooth pain. Also harmful for the body if taken for longer periods without proper supervision.) pain can be due to various factors visit your dentist and get a proper examination done which may include x-rays if necessary, to get a precise diagnosis, after which dentist can give you exact alternatives of treatment options and then you can make decision as to get which appropriate treatment suitable to your problem and needs.

I had visited a dentist and came to know there is a cavity and asking me. To go for root canal. But I don't have any pain or sensitivity due to this cavity. Do I really need to take root canal is there any other alternate option.

Kindly get an X-ray done of the decayed tooth as you and your dentist will come to know the extent of decay whether it is involving pulp or not. If not then you may get the caries removed and get the cavity filled with a tooth coloured restoration. If it is involving pulp or close to pulp then you may have to get root canal treatment done followed by a cap/ crown. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

There front upper primary tooth knocked out with root of my 3 yrs old son. After that with in 1/2 hr we went to dentist and dentist re-implant it, now after 5 days, due to this doctor unable to take x-ray to prevent harm on teeth. Please suggest that whether we need to extract the teeth or wait to stick completely with inner bone.

Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Changing the toothbrush alone donot keeps your teeth clean. All toothpaste have nearly similar ingredients like Abrasives, Fluorides, Surfactants, Antibacterial agents, Flavourants, Remineralizers, Fluoride, Diethylene glycol, Triclosan etc. Only the wrong brushing technique that we follow harms our teeth and gums. So consult your dentist, learn proper brushing technique, Brush your teeth twice a day, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush to protect your teeth and gums from plaque and calculus. Floss your teeth inter dentally once a day. Consume a healthy diet rich in vegetables and lean protein. Reduce your intake of sugary foods and beverages. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Drink plenty of fluoridated tap water. Drink not consume alcohol drinks. Don’t smoke.

I have thin patch of tartar in my teeth. Not in all teeth, but in some teeth. I brush daily. When I brush, it bleeds from some teeth. I don't have any pain in teeth. Please suggest me something to stop the bleeding and something that can remove my tartars? I am very frightened to do it by dentists, they make it painful.

Soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices should be consumed in a limited quantity

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Thane
Soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices should be consumed in a limited quantity
Soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices should be consumed in a limited quantity because they are acidic in nature. Acidic food or drinks often soften the tooth material which leads to the dissolution of minerals into the tooth enamel, resulting in cavities (holes).
