Since I have excessive eye blinking habits for many years now, Somebody suggested me to take Ashwagandha churna with milk as it will help my central nerves systems. But is it safe to use a small amount of powder, since I learn that it causes a decrease in blood pressure. I am Low BP patient with 100/60. Is it still safe to use Ashwagandha churns. Please suggest Doctor.

Blinking is a neat natural process whereby the eyelids wipe the eyes clean, much as a windscreen wiper on a car. Blink rate tends to increase when people are thinking more or are feeling stressed. Excessive blinking can be caused by problems with the eyelids or anterior segment (front surface of the eye), refractive error (need for glasses), turning out of the eye and stress, etc so, the cause for it to be know first to start with the treatment. Till then don't take churna. After taking your whole case, we will start the treatment, so do consult us.

I think you are confused between regular lasik and femto-lasik. Both do the job it is all about your affordability and how much can you afford to spend. If you do not mind spending extra femto-lasik is better. Better still is a procedure called smile. It is the most expensive but also the best.

I have eye number. My eye number is-0.50 so please consult me how to reduce my eye number.

I have eye number. My eye number is-0.50 so please consult me how to reduce my eye number.
There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 18 years so your number will not increase much now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. If you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik. Having said that, power is too less. You can avoid using them.

I have problem with my eyes is water is coming in eyes in a day many times regularly
What should solutions?
watering of eyes can be due to many reasons and the main reasons are 1.Eye Allergy due to dust,Pollution, infection 2.Weak Eyesight 3.Continuous watching TV,Mobile, computor in dim light 4.Any eye injury 5.Lack of sleep 6.Continuous headache 7.Hypertension. So,my suggestion for you is either you give details of your eye watering reasons or visit a local doctor for an eye check up as a final examination can only be made after physical examination.

I am 48 years old male. I have autoimmune retinopathy from last 3 months. What should i do?

MD-Ophthalmology
Ophthalmologist, Srinagar
Autoimmune retinopathy is a rare autoimmune diseases that primarily affect retinal photoreceptor function. Autoimmune retinopathy typically presents in the fifth and sixth decades with rapidly progressive, bilateral, painless visual deterioration but an unremarkable fundus examination. Various treatments have been attempted, including systemic immunosuppression with steroid and steroid-sparing agents, intravenous immunoglobulin, and plasmapheresis but have no consistent results. Start immunosuppresive therapy after discussing with your ophthalmologist.
