My 1 year old son has been prescribed ZENFLOX suspension, BECOSULES SYRUP & BILACIN DT for treating loss of appetite and low weight gain. He weighs 7.5 kg. Is it safe to take the above medicines? I have read online that ZENFLOX should not be given to anyone less than 18 years.

My 1 year old son has been prescribed ZENFLOX suspension, BECOSULES SYRUP & BILACIN DT for treating loss of appetite ...
Zenflox is an antibiotic. Should be given only when there is an infection, but should be avoided in such young children. Please take second opinion before giving it. Other 2 are multivitamin supplements. Better to give natural whole food to child instead of giving artificial supplements.

Dear Lybrateuser, cough is usually a sign of blockage / irritation of Wind Pipe / Respiratory Tubes (Bronchioles). Please consult a Pediatrician to diagnose the cause of chronic cough. Prevention of Chest congestion by avoiding Dust, Molds, Smoke and extreme cold can help. Wishing your baby a speedy recovery.

Vomiting after feed is called regurgitation which is normal. Burping is solution for this. If baby is gaining weight about 30 gm per day there is no cause of worry. Continue exclusive breastfeeding up to the age of 6 months. If no relief consult pediatrician.

My 3 years old daughter does want to eat non -veg food. Always she wants to eat some spicy food. She wants chicken in her every launch or dinner. She doesn't like Dal, sabji etc. It is not good for her health, isn't in Dr? Can I give LIVSAVE KIDS to protect her liver? Please give me suggestion.

There is no need to give Livesafe or anything and in younger age this may not be a problem and slowly you can make her understand the need for vegetables and a balanced diet
