Its preety normal to have dark pigmentation in pregnancy. You may use good sunblock and eat plenty of antioxidants in your diet to prevent pigmentation.

Iam 18 years old girl and there is constant hairfall and dullness during winter season so what should I do for this?

Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week. After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

I have a very bad hair loss in past few days I don't regularly use hair oils pls help me with some ideas to get back my hair.

Hair is primarily made of protein and, therefore, it makes sense to eat a protein-rich diet if you’re trying to maintain your healthy hair. However, eating a steak every day isn’t going to help you. High-fat diets will result in increased testosterone levels, which has been linked to hair loss -- so steaks are not among the foods that prevent hair loss. Stick to leaner proteins such as fish (which has a myriad of health benefits beyond just maintaining your hair), chicken, calf’s liver, brewer’s yeast, low-fat cheese, eggs, almonds, beans, and yogurt. Soy milk and tofu are also smart to add to your diet because they are high in protein and low in bad fats.

I have black spots as well pimples on my back. I used scar removal creams for 4 months but didn't see any change. What should I do?

MBBS, Diploma In Dermatology And Venerology And Leprosy (DDVL)

Pimple never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin c (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin e on scars. You may have heard that applying vitamin e to a scar will help it heal faster. But according to a study, applying the nutrient directly onto a scar can actually hinder its healing, like daily apply night microbenz cream daytime use ahaglo facewash.

Hair Transplant Techniques Available today

MBBS, MD-Skin,VD & Leprosy, Hair Transplant Surgeon
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Hair Transplant Techniques Available today

Baldness and thinning of hair are common conditions faced by both men and women today. Once upon a time, it was an age related condition but today, hair loss is triggered by a number of factors. These include stress, pollution, an unhealthy diet and excessive colouring and other such chemical procedures. The good news is that hair transplants allow us to cover up bald spots and thicken thin hair.

Hair transplant is a surgical procedure through which hair follicles from one part of the head are transferred to other parts of the head. Hair transplant surgeries can be categorized as

  1. Follicular Unit Strip Surgery (FUSS)
  2. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

Follicular Unit Strip Surgery involves the removal of a strip of skin with hair from the back of the head and then dividing this to create a number of small grafts. Each graft must have a few hair follicles on it. On the other hand, Follicular Unit Extraction involves plucking individual hair follicles from one part of the head that has thick hair growth and using these to create grafts. In most cases, the back of the head is the preferred location to take the grafts from. This is because the hair growth here is usually the thickest and this part of the head is naturally resistant to balding. Once the grafts are ready, a surgeon will make tiny incisions on the areas where they are to be transplanted. The grafts will then be individually placed in each of these slits. Finally, the entire area is bandaged.

Both Follicular Unit Strip Surgery and Follicular Unit Extraction have their own unique advantages...

Follicular Unit Strip Surgery:

  1. It requires fewer sittings
  2. Large bald areas can be targeted
  3. It has a lower rate of the graft getting cut while being removed

Follicular Unit Extraction:

  1. It does not involve the removal of skin
  2. Thus there are stitches required
  3. There is no scarring
  4. Quick recovery time, a patient can return to work the next day

To perform a hair transplant surgery, the patient must be at least 25 years old. They must also not have been diagnosed with any heart conditions, hypertension or chronic diabetes. A hair transplant can also not cure hair fall. Hence, if your baldness or thinning hair is triggered by incessant hair fall or if you suffer from a psychological disorder that makes you pull out your hair, a hair transplant will not help. Lastly, you must have enough hair follicles on your head to have a hair transplant surgery. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

Redness on cheek due to acne rosacea and red marks. Have just completed acne vulgaris course.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Make a cup of green tea, then place it in your refrigerator for 30 minutes. Soak a cloth in the chilled tea, then apply the cloth to affected areas. Green tea has potent anti-inflammatory properties, which helps reduce redness and inflammation. Drinking green tea helps for the same reasons (and gives you added antioxidants!) Honey is perfect for rosacea because it’s an excellent humectant, meaning it helps your skin retain moisture (without making it feel oily). Massage a bit of honey on affected areas, let it sit for about 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Hi make a paste of neem leaves and apply on the targeted pimples. If you cannot get fresh neem leaves, try to get some dried bottled neem leaves, steep for 10 minutes in warm water and use as a paste.

Hi. If you can follow some basic things then you will get better results in a short period of time, 1) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals, 2) don’t drink water before meal for one hour and one hour after meal, 3) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods, 4) avoid late night sleeping habits, 5) avoid coffee and tea, A) take 30ml of BHRUNGARAJASAVAM and 30 ml of water and 1 TSF of jaggery after meals, B) apply equal quantity mixture of aloe vera juice and divya godhan ark of patanjali ayurveda in the roots of hairs Leave it for 30-45 minutes. After that wash hairs with ROOTZ SHAMPOO (rajah ayurveda) three times in a week, do all things for 30 days. These things are much more effective, avoid use of any shampoo and hair oil for 30 days THANKS.

I have dandruff problem I have tried many products but I didn't got any solutions so please can you suggest me organic hair oil and shampoo to remove dandruff or any oil for hair growth too.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Instead of using any commercial product Just massage 2 tablespoons lemon juice into your scalp and rinse with water. Then stir 1 teaspoon lemon juice into 1 cup water and rinse your hair with it. Repeat this daily until your dandruff disappears. Lemon's acidity helps balance the pH of your scalp, which helps keeps dandruff at bay.

I am 22 years old. I suffered from acne vulgaris which got worse. I got several treatments for the same. Starting with chemical peel, then I went to subcision and micro needling and finally PRP. Now, I have a much better skin then before but in sharp light, I can clearly see the unevenness of skin and small scars. How can I make them disappear completely.

Apple is a miracle fruit for the skin. The alpha hydroxy acids or AHA’s present in apples improves skin color and elasticity of the skin.Soak peeled apple slices in milk for 20 minutes and then blend to form a creamy paste.Place in the freezer for 10 minutes, and then mix a tsp of lemon juice, apply all over your face and neck.Rinse off after 15 minutes with cool water and massage an ice cube. The skin looks baby soft, smooth with a rosy white glow.Follow this for a week to get fair skin naturally. or All the natural ingredients (Tretinoin, Hydroquinone and Cortisone) inlcuded in Melamet have only one goal: to improve your skin tone. Tretinoin helps prevent and treat acne and wrinkles by peeling off dead skin cells. Hydroquinone is the skin lightener agent in this equation that improves the overall tone of your skin. Cortisone is an anti-allergy ingredient that reduces inflammation and/or itching.' How to Use: Use the Melamet Cream just before bedtime. Wash it off in the morning, and apply some sunscreen if you intend to go outdoors. Failure to do so will cause significant damage and even result in your skin turning black.

I'm 2 years old female. Which sunscreen is good for my dry skin and gives me even skin tone?

MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Pathanamthitta
Using sunscreen is a must. But using different types is of no help. Uv rays damage skin cells producing free radicals and a variety of effects like blemishes, pigmentation, darkness and dullness of skin. They need to provide protection from uva and uvb rays. A sunscreen of spf 30 at least should b used. Also, look for pa+++ on the product. Also, go for sunscreens with both physical blocks and chemical agents like avobenzone. Use a gel based sunscreen if you have an oily skin like sun cross aqua gel. Repeat sunscreen after every three hours, use even when indoors. Uv ray's enter even through your windows and car windshields. Use sunscreen before and after you go swimming. You can use make up or cosmetics over your sunscreen half an hour later.

Hello, You Should drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily ,take healthy nutritious diet. Follow the below home remedy to get soft hydrated skin:- The lactic acid present in milk cream helps exfoliate dry skin. The soothing nature of milk cream also helps preserve the skin’s delicate pH levels. Milk cream is also an excellent moisturizer. Mix a few drops of lemon juice, one teaspoon of milk and two teaspoons of milk cream. Rub it on *your hands and legs. Leave it on for a while before you take a shower. Do this once daily. Add enough milk cream to three to four tablespoons of gram flour to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on your face, hands and legs. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Do this once daily.
