Breathe deeply and exhale on a hisssssssing sound. Repeat 10 times. Proper breathing is the foundation for a healthy voice AND control over nervous energy that can make the voice quiver. Say “Mm-mmm (as in yummy) Mmm-hmm (like yes) ” Repeat 5 times. This develops mask resonance, which creates a clean and vibrant sound by creating a clean approximation of the cords and a resonance that will sound great and project easily. Say “Mm-mmm. Mmm-hmm.” up and down your vocal range, from low to middle to high and back again, 10 times.

General Physician,
Snoring in some people are common phenomenon nothing wrong in it. Sometimes due deviated nasal septum of nose associated with nasal polyp may cause snoring. Do warm saline gargle regularly. Have homemade freshly prepared lemon juice which is rich in vitamin c thereby increasing your body autoimmune system which prevents infection. Go for morning walk followed by free hand exercises. Have plenty of water by mouth. Else you can consult y ent specialist.

This device may temporarily press your nasal tissue, but it will not create any long term durable difference in the shape of your nose. Rhinoplasty surgery is the best option if you would like to change your nose shape.

When I awake in early morning then I feel catarrh so this happened daily but what should I do?

" I think you may have allergic rhinitis, most probably dust allergy. Try to avoid dust. Dust particles mostly present in our bed sheet. Wash it in warm water at every 1 week and dry it in sun light for whole day. Try to use plastic cover for pillow. You will feel great relief. You can also start momenta nasal spray, 1 puff in each nostril, once a day"

Ear Discharge - Causes And Symptoms

Ear Discharge - Causes And Symptoms

Ear discharge is the phenomenon of fluids being expelled from the ear. This condition is also known as otorrhea.

The kinds of fluids that can be discharged from the ear range from blood to pus and other forms of bodily secretions. It is caused by a number of factors, which determine the exact nature of the condition and the diagnosis for treatment.

What are the causes of ear discharge?

Some forms of ear discharge are natural, such as ear wax which is produced by the body as a form of defense against external particles that may enter the ears. Other forms are unnatural and result from anomalies in the health system.

The causes of these include the following:

  • Infections: This is the most common cause of ear discharge and occurs when bacteria and viruses infest the inside of the ear and lead to the secretion of fluids, which builds up in the middle ear or at the eardrum
  • Swimmer’s Ear: This condition is also known as otitis externa and is caused by staying in water for prolonged periods. It results from excessive exposure to moisture that makes the walls of the ear canal to break down allowing bacteria and fungi to enter and infect the ear.
  • Trauma: Excess pressure on the eardrum can cause it to rupture and discharge fluids. This happens due to a number of reasons such as exposure to loud explosive sounds or pressure from flying in aircrafts and scuba diving.
  • Skull Injury: Damage to the bones behind the ear as a result of injury can also lead to ear discharge due to infection.
  • Tonsillitis:  Inflammation of tonsils may cause pain or a repeated infection in the ear leading to fluid discharge.

What are the symptoms associated with ear discharge?

Some of the symptoms of otorrhea are as follows:

  • Abnormal and unusual secretion of fluids from the ear
  • Swelling of the ear
  • Partial or complete loss of hearing
  • Pain and throbbing in the ear
  • Accompanying signs such as fever and migraine

Diagnosis and treatment of the problem depend on the exact cause and nature of the condition, which also determines treatment and recovery time. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ent Specialist.

I am 25 yrs old for last 1 year I am suffering from nasal congestion and cold, headache, drowsiness. I have taken several medication but of no effect please help me out.

MS - ENT, DNB (ENT)
ENT Specialist, Delhi
Nasal congestion with cold and headache could be because of a sinus infection. Drowsiness could occur if the nasal congestion is causing obsructive sleep apnoea. You will benefit from a thorough ent evaluation including a nasal endoscopy and a ct scan of the sinuses to come to a diagnosis. Once we know the nature of the problem we can start to treat. Regards.

Get the ct scan done for sinus to get to know the grading of the disease, whether thisis due to any growth or the pus, if it is grade ii or iii than this can be cured by medicines if you take precautions properly.

My nose remains blocked but I don't have cough or cold. Nasal passage became constricted.
You may be suffering from allergic rhinitis or DNS or nasal polyp. So for proper diagnosis you need to visit to a doctor, so the accurate differentiation is made. After recording your whole case taking, the best possible medication will be started as soon as possible. So if possible do visit the clinic or book an online appointment. Till then take steam inhalation, keep yourself warm, take plenty of water. For more queries, contact us.

Dear this is acute viral infection of the mouth, and no need to worry as in malaria along with fever, shivering also comes and that is the time to take blood sample to rule out malaria.
