Dear lybrate user, for prevention of hair fall follow these instructions: * do not take a lot of stress and take proper sleep of 6 - 7 hours. Do meditation to destress yourself. You can do pranayams or take long deep breaths whlie closing your eyes I a peaceful environment for at least 8-10 minutes. * add protein containing items in your foods for healthy hair growth such as take a bowl of cereal daily and a glass of milk or 100 gm cheese or 1-2 eggs. * to reduce hairfall and whitening of hairs, practice yogasana like shirshasana and sarwangasana only under the guidance of expert. * you can use mahabhringraj oil and apply it 3 times in a week massage your scalp for 10 to 15 minutes daily. It increases blood circulation in your scalp and enhances hair growth. * avoid intake of any medicines because they cause toxicity & hairfall. * avoid the excess use of products such as hair colours or shampoo. * take vitamin-e rich foods like dry fruits (almonds, pista etc) daily. * take 1/2 teaspoon of amla powder with water once a day.

Hi, my daughter is ten years old. She has a stomach pain in 2012, which disappeared for 2 years. In between she was treated with pain killer injection and gas injection for relief, and finally she was given t. B medicine. Then she was okay for two years. Now she has again the same complain of abdominal pain. We admitted her at nearby nursing home. She was again treated with pain killer injection and gas injection. But this time the pain comes back again and again. In the mean time she had developed small red spots in her lower foot and lower arms. We got very much puzzled. We were then referred to show her. To a higher center. We came to asian institute hyderabad. They did all test followed by biopsy of red spots from intestine and skin. Finally she was diagnosed with an vasculitis disease called hsp i. E henoch scholien purpose. They said she will be fine after medication. Steriods medicines were given. We were happy. Then after a day we were in a hotel. We all went for lunch after coming back we called anusha my daughter she didnt responded to our call. We shook her, slapped her, shouted at her but she didnt responded. Her eyes were wide open but she was unable to look at us. Then I picked her up but count as she became stiff. She was also letting out saliva off her mouth. With the help of hotel management we bring her back to asian institute. They immediately admitted her to icu. They injected drugs and she was fine till late night. She was under the tremor for 1.5 hours before medication and it took 3 hours that we could meet her back. Still initially she was unable to recognize anyone. Dear your daughter seems to be having a neurological manifestation of henoch-schonlein purpura. In this disorder, patients usually have altered level of consciousness with associated problems in the form of convulsions (seizures) and visual or verbal problems. There can be episodes of bleeding in the brain too with associated brain swelling. The treatment strategy would be to provide steroids and keep a watch on further development of symptoms in the neurological arena. She needs a complete evaluation with vasculitis profile, eeg, mri brain etc.

The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points ( if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Hi , I would like to enlighten you about pimples [acne] in brief. What is acne? acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilo sebaceous follicles [i. E. Hair with oil producing glands attached to hair] characterized by comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules, pustules, nodules and ultimately leading to scars. Who gets acne? close to 100% of people between the ages of twelve and seventeen have at least an occasional whitehead, blackhead or pimple regardless of race or ethnicity. Acne starts between the ages of ten and fifteen years of age and usually lasts till twenty years of age; however, acne can persist into the late twenties or thirties or even beyond. Some people get acne for the first time as adults and this is known as adult acne. What are the causes of acne? bacteria bacteria that normally live on the skin play a role in acne development. The bacteria are known as propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes). The bacteria content can increase in people whose faces are not clean. Hormones during the teen years increased levels of sex hormones cause the oil glands of the skin to produce increased amount of oil. These excess skin oils tend to bind with cellular debris causing a blockage and producing a fertile environment for the bacteria to grow. The bacteria cause inflammation, pus, swelling and redness. In adult acne, excessive hormones produced due to polycystic ovaries and other hormonal imbalances cause excess oil production and inflammation, which lead to acne. What are the factors that precipitate or aggravate acne? stress- stress is frequently implicated in aggravation of acne while acne itself induces stress. Sweat- sweating in a hot and humid environment causes deterioration in 15% of acne patients. Menstruation- pre menstrual flare of acne occurs in 70% of female acne patients. Friction and pressure- friction and pressure from helmets, backpacks and tight collars can induce blackheads and papules. Pressure from face massages or facials can aggravate acne. Pregnancy- pregnancy has an unpredictable effect on acne. Pre-existing acne may aggravate or remit during pregnancy. Diet- high glycemic load foods (sugar loaded and starchy foods), oily foods may aggravate acne. Drugs- oral contraceptives, anti tuberculosis medication, oral steroids, anti depressants may aggravate acne. Treatment: treatment for acne needs to be individualized as per the type of acne and type of your skin. For comedones, we recommend comedone extraction procedure. For red papules, we recommend topical creams, chemical peels and oral antibiotics as per severity. For nodules [big swelling], intralesional steroid injections works fastest and are safe. For scars, there are various procedures like dermaroller[microneedling], subscision, deep chemical peels and lasers. Total duration of treatment for acne varies from 2 to 4 months for complete cure and for acne scars varies from 8 to 12 months. I recommend you to consult qualified dermatologist to prescribe you correct treatment that suits you the best after examining your skin. First thing is change your pillow too hard or too soft and very high pillow can hurt you second thing is try to change your sleeping posture to the left side more and last if you have to watch phone screen continuously give breaks in between so that it doesn't put strain on your head and eyes and keep it at a safe distance from your eyes.

Hi, acne is a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. Acne usually appears on your face, neck, chest, back and shoulders. You can control mild acne with basic skin care: 1) use a good facewash like clean and clear or himalya neem. 2) use antidandruff shampoo if acne are localized on your forehead. 3) do not pick at your acne or they might leave scars. 4) keep your hair cut short so that they do not fall on your forehead. 5) drink 8-10 glasses water daily. 6) destress yourself as stress is a known trigger for acne. 7) avoid cheese, chocolates and poultry.
