Hello. I am a 33 year old male living in Denmark since 10 years. I am originally from India. Recently on my trip to India, I was sleeping on hard mattresses, as is the case usually with beds in India. And for some reason it has probably not gone very well with my back. In Denmark we sleep on very soft mattresses. And my back has usually been pretty good and have had no complaints around it. Even though I have knee problem due to my history in sports. But this time around, the pain has been very consistent. The problem is that when I sit on my bed, in a fairly nice posture, with back straight, and leaning back on a pillow or something, my middle back starts feeling sore and irritates me, and then I have to sit with out any support for a while to relieve the tension. Even when bending sometimes, I can feel the tightness in lower and middle back, can feel its sore. It's been a month and now I am back in Denmark since a week, but still don't see any changes. In general what do you think is the problem and could it be linked to the mattresses? On a side note, an MRI of my lower spine was normal, with a slight slight disc bulge, without any significant nerve compression, according to the radiologist. So I am assuming the structure and things are good, but maybe it's just a passing thing. But still need to do something so it does not get worse, and hopefully to get it back to normal sooner. Kindly suggest. Thank you

hi, You have a slight disc bulge, but you did not mention the exact area. Depending on your history given i can suggest you complete body rest in proper position whenever pain starts. Don't carry heavy objects. Use hip bandage during prolonged sitting and travelling. Make sure to get proper bowel evacuation. You can manage the discomfort and further increase of the condition through traditional ayurveda therapy along with some internal medication. I can suggest you accordingly if you revert back in private consultation.

Check whether she is having the problem only when she is stressed or even in normal circumstances. Also check whether she has problem of urine incontinence ie involuntary leakage of urine whenever she exerts herself. First meet a urologist to rule out any physical problem. If all physical problems are ruled out. Bed wetting is a symptom of high anxiety or stress. It Absoultly necessary that she meets a clinical psychologist have a proper evaluation and therapy done. Temporarily relaxation excecises and proper management of water intake can be helpful.

Hello doctors! greeting Is there any remedy for height gain after 20. I am 20 year old. My height 5'8 and weight 80 kg.

Hello doctors! greeting
Is there any remedy for height gain after 20.
I am 20 year old. My height 5'8 and weight 80 kg.
The homeopathic medicine acts mainly on three sites:- 1. Increase Growth Hormones Production a. The growth is not only dependent on genetic but hormones equally plays important role in body`s growth. b. Your growth potential reduces especially after puberty because your pituitary gland becomes inactive. Homoeopathic medicine stimulates the pituitary gland to increased production of natural level of growth hormones, which causes growth of the cartilaginous portions of the vertebrae and the long bones. 2. Cartilages Growth Al though most of your bones can`t grow any longer after puberty, the articular cartilages that connect many bones can still grow thicker. Besides the distal potion on each vertebrae, the distal end of Femur and the proximal end of Tibia each can grow up to an inch, which gives another 2 inches extra height. 3. Spinal Column Extension The Spinal column in upper body contributes significantly to r height because it accounts for 35% of total height. One important component of the spine is inter-vertebral discs. These discs are located between each of 33 vertebrae. On average, your total discs account for one-quarter the length of your vertebral column - 4.5 to 6 inches for most people. The thicker the discs, the longer your spinal column is and the taller you become. Homeopathic medicine allows your height by expanding the discs and lengthening your spine. Recent scientific research has proven that most young adults can still grow a few inches taller even after the bones in their lower body have become ossified. This is because besides the length of the femur bone, tibia bone, and other bones in the lower body, the length of the spinal column in the upper body also significantly contributes to human height. Do let me know if you also have blackheads with pimples? and what current medications and remedies you already tried to treat acne? acne is a common problem in teen. Almost everybody will get pimples during their teen years. First, don't try to self treat acne. Some popular nonprescription acne lotions, cleansers and other skin products can cause a serious reaction (rare), mostly it is normal to have acne in teenage. For pimples it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface, avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin c (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin e or any self prescribed preparations on scars or pimples. Increasing the intake of omega-3 fatty acids through a diet significantly rich in fish and seafood results in lower rates of an inflammatory disease like acne. A low-glycemic-index diet also reduces acne risk.

Hi, What is your age? Are you working or studying? From your description it feels that you procrastinate to get things done, then they pile up and you have a tendency to jump to worst conclusion in a single leap like " ?I?m a mess, I?ll never have enough time to study for this exam an I am going to fail". Is it the case with you? Organizing and prioritizing helps when everything looks like a mess. After you prioritize pick one thing @ a time..get it done and move to next. Little accomplishments shall boost your confidence gradually. To help you more we need to chalk down problem areas and specific ways to deal with them. Kindly come back with answers.

MSc
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Chandigarh
•Reduce saturated fat and cholesterol from your diet. •Trim any visible fat off meat before cooking and remove the skin before cooking. Consume fish or chicken instead of red meat. •Instead of frying, choose to grill, broil, bake, or stir-fry. •Avoid using heavy cream, use low-fat milk. •Eat more foods rich in fiber, such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains. •Consume a low-fat balanced diet consisting of whole-grain cereals, low-fat/ skimmed dairy, fruits, vegetables, sprouts. •Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water everyday. •Lose weight, if overweight. Aim to maintain a healthy body weight. •Increase your level of physical activity (walk at least 45 minutes to 1 hour daily). •Meditation and relaxation techniques can help calm the body and mind, bringing them into a better state of balance. •Get enough sleep. A good night’s sleep helps reduce overall fatigue, anxiety and stress.
