1. You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2. You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3. Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4. Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5. Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6. Take light dinner. 7. Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time. 8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10. Don’t sleep in day time 11. Don’t take sleeping pill 12. If no relief consult doctor.

I experience pain in my left knee,i do play badminton 3 a week and wheni consulted an ortho,he says the pain and swelling is caused due to calcium deposit betwn the joints.Can it be cured?

It must be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform

If you have unilateral leg pain it can vary from a simple muscular cramp to varicosity to dvt to stress fracture or plain arthritic knees or ankles. However it needs investigation if it is disturbing you. If it is a muscular pain it should be relieved with paracetamol. However any other pain will need investigation. May be the screen resolution and lights are giving your eyes discomfort. In general, working long hours on screen/omputer can lead to a condition called computer vision syndrome. Relax your eyes in between work. Blink regularily if working for long time on computer. Lower the brightness of your screen. Work under adequately illuminated conditions. Also try to blink your eyes properly while work. Use good tear substitutes like genteal 4 times a day. And anti glare screen for your system. Use eyedrops genteal 3 times a nd zoneph 4 times a day. Get your refraction done and wear spectacles eat green veggies. Carrots. Papayas, mangoes yellow fruits nuts butter. Strain less your eyes.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. We remain seated most of the time and stand for very short periods of time. Unfortunately walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Low Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Kindly show me digital x rays of ls spine. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I think I have piles. It bleeds with stool and make me soo week soon after, I am computer engineer so I have to spend 8 to 10 hours, sitting in front of computer and it start panning after 2 or 3 hours of sitting. And it feels so irritated as I can not help my self.

Hello, what you might be having is likely a weakness of back muscles and upper shoulder, and less likely and more sinister things like cervical spine disease. I would suggest you see someone in person. Till then I would suggest do pushups, only if you are comfortable in doing, do 10 pushups morning evenings.

Hi Doctor, I used to be a soccer player & regular gym goer. But from past 1 year I left both as I suffered from an injury (wrist fracture), the pain of which has still not gone completely. Moving on, recently few months back I decided to start with my soccer once again. But now whenever I step on to the pitch, I come up with some or the other muscle related injury/spasm. Also I am getting muscle spasm/pain even when I am sitting and do sudden activity. My water consumption is almost 2 litres per day. Day by day these small muscle injuries are making me feel weak & old. I am planning to start gaining again. But will that help or will make it worse? Also for your knowledge, nowadays I am spending my whole day sitting in office with very little level of body activity. Thanks. :)

Hello. First Good explanation. See as per your wrist fracture and pain till now. It happens. So don't worry. You should full movement only. Pain will go with slow pace sometimes. Muscle spasm. Do have appropriate water intake protein also. And also stop sitting for long times. Keep changing your posture. As per your previous history of gym. Re-start that ,if you don't have that time for gym. Try go for home exercise like Push-ups, sit-ups. Etc. Go through my page on Facebook-Pulse Physiotherapy Clinic.
