A dental check will be more precise and specific to treat your ulcer. Prophylacticaly I suggest you to take. Vitamin-b complex tablets daily once for 1week. Gel application 3-4times a day (quadrajel or dentogel) if your ulcer is accessible with your finger. No spicy n hot food. Reduce stress and relax. Look for your medical health status and medication history.

If you have ruled out the option of going for orthodontic treatment (braces), you can surely close the gap betwen your teeth using veneers or crowns depending on the severity of the gap and size of the adjacent teeth. A gap of 1cm should be a difficult proposition to close but cosmetic treatment is surely possible.

How to clean the teeth?

BDS
Dentist,
How to clean the teeth?
Gently brush the outside, inside and chewing surface of each tooth using short back-and-forth strokes. Gently brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen breath. Most dental professionals agree that a soft-bristled brush is best for removing plaque and debris from your teeth.

Unfortunately tooth decay cannot be treated by natural means. You need to consult a dentist for getting decayed tooth filled. Only thing you can do t prevent further decay of tooth by natural means like drinking more and more of water, chewing sugar free gums. Brushing your teeth and using anti cavity mouthwashes.

Toothpicks can cause serious damage to our teeth like enamel loss (abrasion), deep gums pockets leading to gum diseases, broken tooth.....so floss is a best alternative to toothpick.

•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person.

The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.
