Hello osama, 1 don't take water during food and just after food, this is biggest cause of gas and acidity. Take water after 1 hour of food. 2 don't control urge for stool. If you will control these two thing 70% of your problem would be solved. One medicine if you can purchase:- powder mulethi 1/2 tsf + powder avipattikar churna 1/2 tsf. Take these two with cold milk. Your gas acidity problem will be resolved for sure. Secondly, for frequent urination:- take this problem more seriously, as it occurs due to various pathologies in the body like diabetes. So first get your kidney checked. Taking medicine for frequent urination without proper consultation can be harmful. So, give time for a detail consulation for the same. Get well soon.

Basic problem here is the lack physical activity that is bogging you down. Say, 8 hours a day you spend sitting, 8 hours of sleep still you have 8 hours left all by yourself and can take out just 1 hour to exercise. Secondly, you can take quick breaks 10-15 minutes of activity every 2-3 hours. Several sitting exercises can also be done. Take care of the type of food you take in, as long sitting hours can be monotonous and a few quick samosa's may seem like a welcome change. You can take a walk to your work place if feasible or use stairs instead of elevator. These are a few tweaks you can make. For a personalized evaluation and specific advice you can consult with

Hello lybrate-user. There are multiple causes responsible for diminution/ blurring of vision. Let me enumerate them in brief for you: (1) refractive error. This is one of the commonest reasons responsible. Minus or plus number in one eye or both eyes may be responsible for weak/ blurred vision. The solution for this is glasses/ contact lens/ refractive surgery (if applicable). It should be checked by a trained optometrist/ ophthalmologist and proper glasses should be prescribed. (2) cornea related problem: injury, degeneration, infections or inflammation occurring on the cornea tend to causes loss of transparency and lead to weakening of vision. These should be assessed preferably by a cornea specialist and treated appropriately. (3) cataract in the lens of the eye: this usually occurs with increasing age but in some cases may occur at a younger age. There are multiple systemic factors responsible (eg. Diabetes, increased cholesterol levels, etc) injury to the eye may also cause cataract. This should be assessed and treated appropriately by a cataract specialist. (4) retina/ vitreous problems: these occur due to a variety of reasons such as high minus numbers, diabetes, trauma, etc. These issues are best assessed and treated by a retina specialist. There are good quality surgical options available for the same. (5) optic nerve related problems: these may occur due to raised eye pressure (glaucoma), or occur in association with certain conditions related to the brain and the blood vessels. These are best assessed by a retina/ glaucoma specialist (whichever applicable). (6) neurological problems: certain problems in the brain and the central nervous system tend to cause weakening/ blurring of vision. These are best assessed by an eye specialist in concordance with a neurologist and a neurosurgeon if required. Thus, based on the category you fall under, it would be necessary to take appropriate help and treatment. Hope my suggestions helped you. Take care.

Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. It is a difficult task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (Self-Monitoring of Blood glucose – SMBG). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of Fasting sugar (FBS) and 2 hours after food (PPBS), & HbA1C (inform me) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ Insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For diabetes, hypertension (high BP) and many long-term illness control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance... if you keep in touch personally.

Laparoscopic surgery for Gall Stones

MS - General Surgery, MBBS
General Surgeon, Delhi
Laparoscopic surgery for Gall Stones

What is laparoscopic surgery?

Laparoscopic surgery is the technique of performing surgery by making small cuts (5-10 mm usually) over the abdomen and inserting special instruments through them. Hence the name 'keyhole' surgery. The surgeon performs surgery using these special instruments, one of which is a camera while looking at the image on a screen.

The advantage of this procedure over traditional surgery is that since there is the absence of a large incision, pain is much less, recovery is faster, the hospital stay is less, complications are less.

On top of this, there is a cosmetic benefit of absence of scar!!

Nowadays, we perform almost all abdominal surgeries laparoscopically including those for appendicitis, gallstones, hernia, GERD (reflux disease), peptic ulcers, achalasia cardia, spleen removal, pancreatic surgery, liver surgery, surgery for cancers of stomach, food pipe (esophagus), small intestine and large intestine (colon and rectal cancers), hysterectomy (uterus removal) and nephrectomy (kidney removal).

In addition, we also perform specialised surgeries like those for morbid obesity laparoscopically. One of our award winning videos has been for sympathectomy for excessive sweating over palms, axilla and feet.

So, welcome to the world of Minimal Access Surgery.

Advantages of keyhole surgery:

Cosmetic
Minimal pain
Fast recovery
Shorter hospitalization
Faster return to daily routine
Earlier return to work
Less wound infection complications
Fewer chances of postoperative chest infection

Gall bladder stone needs operation. Once stone is formed inside gall bladder, that gall bladder is non functional and will keep on forming stone which in turn can lead to various health issues in future. There is no medicine for stone dissolution.
