These medicines are some side effects as well and your kid is too small. According to me you should follow ayurvedic treatment along with. And after some recovery you can totally shift to ayurvedic treatment.

My child 7month old he is 9.200kg it is normal or abnormal weight please answer me doctor.
Looks abnormal. Pl compare with the birthweight of the child. If birthweight was 2.5-3.5 kg, then 9.2 at 7 mths is not good. Consult a paediatrician.

You do not need to stop lactation. Just express the breast milk as frequently as you can. There is no substitute to breast milk. Your baby will need the same when he comes back to you. If you do not do that, your milk production will automatically stop.

Hi sir, for allergies prevention is better then treatment, change in weather might trouble the kid. In this case you can start antiallergic (antihistaminic) syrup for some time thanks.

10 Tips To Stay Healthy With Type 1 Diabetes

M.Sc. in Dietetics and Food Service Management , Post Graduate Diploma In Computer Application, P.G.Diploma in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics , B.Sc.Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
10 Tips To Stay Healthy With Type 1 Diabetes

1-healthy eating having diabetes means learning how to count carbohydrates and how the foods you eat affect your blood sugar. A healthy meal plan also includes complex carbohydrates, protein, fiber (beans, whole grains, fruits and vegetables), lots of green, leafy vegetables, and limited amounts of heart-healthy fats.

2-being active physical activity can help you keep blood sugar levels normal and manage your diabetes. Being active can also improve your mood and reduce your feelings of stress and anxiety.

3-monitoring checking your blood sugar levels regularly gives you information about your diabetes management. Monitoring helps you know when your blood sugar levels are within your target range and helps you to make choices in what you eat and what you do.

4-taking medication obviously, it's important that you take your insulin, but it's vitally important that you understand how much to take in certain situations. This comes from careful monitoring of your blood sugar levels and getting to know the cause and effect between your insulin therapy and your blood sugar levels.

5-problem solving everyone encounters problems with their diabetes control. If/when you have a problem, you need to know how to troubleshoot your self-care. This can include analyzing and evaluating your situation and thinking about what was different from usual that could have affected your blood sugar. It also means coming up with solutions to try, as well as looking at what worked and what didn't. Don't get bitter, get better.

6-reducing risks you can take steps now to lower your risks of developing health problems in the future. Recommendations to reduce your risks and avoid other health problems include: not smoking, seeing you doctor regularly (to check a1c), visiting your eye doctor at least once a year, brushing and flossing daily and seeing your dentist, taking care of your feet, and listening to your body.

7-healthy coping living with diabetes and its daily demands for self-care can be stressful and may negatively impact your self-management. Not only can stress increase your blood sugar levels, but it can contribute to you making poor choices. The good news is there are many healthy ways to cope with stress.

I think this last point is vitally important, and I want to share three options for managing the stress of living with diabetes:

8-be kind to yourself. Do the best that you can do. It's important to feel good about your successes. Give yourself credit when you are successful at managing your blood sugar and don't be overly critical of yourself if you fall short of a goal.

9-seek support from a network of family and friends who you can talk to when you are upset. Seek opportunities to meet other people with diabetes, such as attending support groups or participating in online forums (such as podcasts or tweet chats), so that you won't feel isolated and alone. Talk to a psychologist or other mental health provider who provides diabetes-focused therapy if you feel depressed or overwhelmed.

10.-choose to have a positive attitude, and cultivate it every day, but also accept when you feel down about diabetes. To have occasional negative thoughts is normal; research has shown that acknowledging those thoughts may help people with diabetes keep their blood sugar levels stable. Acknowledge, but don't dwell; living with a negative mindset will limit your ability to cope. The way you think about events can influence your mood, thoughts and actions.

My 6 weak old daughter keeps on crying while she awake or keep sucking milk otherwise she sleep. What should I do to keep her calm.

Pediatrician, Pune
See that she latches on the breast properly without leaving any gap, otherwise she sucks in air along with milk, excessive ingestion of air causes fullness, colic, crying, burp her well after feed at least for 20 mins keep her upright, after you have burped her keep her in propped up position of at least 45 degree angle, don't give anything other than breast milk no janam ghutti, grape water, plain water, don't be anxious, relax, your anxiety is realised by the baby making her more anxious, and making her cry - just relax, take support from family.

I have a daughter age 10+years she has a problem of bed wet. wanted to get out from this problem please help me thank you.

M.D. Pediatrics
Pediatrician, Pune
This problem is called as Nocturnal Enuresis. Kindly get her Urine Routine and Urine Culture tested. Till then, make sure that she does not drink water atleast 2 hours prior hitting to bed. Start alarm technique, put alarm at around 2 am in morning and ask her to go to washroom. This will help her to pass residual volume. If you find, that she is bed wetting somewhere before 2 am then, adjust clock accordingly. Kindly visit your nearest pediatrician, as he is the best person to give medication. Hope this helps. Happy Parenting!

Hi doctors, My 20 month old baby girl, suddenly got cold, fever and loose stools with vomit, she tends to vomit whenever she coughs, my pead told due to infection from bottle feeding and to stop at once, then to avoid milk for 1 week, so I feed her with juices only, she prefers only orange juice so I give her fresh juice, but is it safe to give orange juice when cold is there? Any way stopping bottle suddenly is also quite challenging, she accepts milk n juice from bottle only, slowly I need to change her.

Hi Your child having viral illness and it seems because of problem of lactose intolerance your pediatrician has advised you to stop milk. Definitely the problem of infection is most probably due to bottle feeding but it is also quite natural that you cannot stop the bottle feeding all at once, gradually wean off the child from the bottle and in the meantime strictly adhere to sterilizing the feeding bottles every time you feed the baby. Instead of giving orange juice, when the baby is having cold prefer to give semi solid foods like Daliya, semolina, kichri, etc to your baby.

My son has been complaining about his legs and his back hurting for a long what should he do?

MD - Paediatrics, MBBS
Pediatrician, Bangalore
Excessive playing and jumping may result in this. Back pain may be due to abnormal posture. First try by reducing any excessive activities or abnormal posture. Vitamin d deficiency may also be a causative factor for his pain.
