My baby is 3 months old he is drinking enough formula and I am breastfeeding him frequently but I am not having enough milk Is there any problem in this.

I suggest you to stop or avoid formula milk as it can not replace the breast milk in its nutritional value. Try to breast feed your baby completely atleast for 6 months of age and later shift to formula feeds. Stress and other factors contribute to lesser production of breast milk so avoid stress and let your baby suckle to your breast as much as possible as it will stimulate milk production. Consult your gynaecologist if possible so that she can prescribe you some medication to increase your milk production.

People with the disorder pica compulsively eat items that have no nutritional value. An affected person might eat relatively harmless items, such as ice. Or they might eat potentially dangerous items, likes flakes of dried paint or pieces of metal. In the latter case, the disorder can lead to serious consequences, such as lead poisoning. This disorder occurs most often in children and pregnant women. It’s usually temporary. See your doctor right away if you or your child can’t help but eat nonfood items. Treatment can help you avoid potentially serious side effects. Pica also occurs in people who have intellectual disabilities. It’s often more severe and long-lasting in people with severe developmental disabilities. I suggest you to consult a child specialist to determine whether your child has any nutritional deficiencies. Take care.

If child is growing well gaining proper wt and remain playful then don't worry. Continue breastfeeding atleast by age of 2 years along with mashed rice with dal, roti with dal, roti with milk. Some time you can give cerelac.

Upto six months of age, exclusive breast feeding is recommended. Even water should not be offered to the baby. The mother should drink extra water/liquids like juices/soupsetc and keep herself well hydrated for optimum milk production. Also she should take a wholesome diet and never worry that her milk is not sufficient for the baby. If the baby is passing urine frequently, passing stool 6-10 times per day and gaining weight, breast milk production is enough.

If your child is sleeping whole day then he is bound to remain awake whole night. Or if your child is having colics due to gas accumulation he will not be comfortable sleeping whole night. Or hunger could b another reason.

Dear sir my son age 5 years suffering from nephrotic syndrom from last 2. 5 year what is actual complete treatment ?

MD - Paediatrics, MBBS, FISPN & FISPN - Pediatric Nephrology
Pediatrician, Delhi
Dear , nephrotic syndrome can`t be cured once for all. Its like flu you get it take treatment and it goes away, but as long as it is steroid sensitive it should not harm kidneys. If your baby requires too frequent doses of steroids then steroid sparing agent can be added.
