Cleaning of teeth that is scaling will only clean the stains or spots that are on the outer surface of your teeth if the stains are from inside of the teeth and you want to make it white thwn you should opt for bleach. It is of two types home bleach and in office clinical bleach. Depending upon the yellowness ypur doc would suggest you the option. Also if the stains are veryy severe then you may need to wear cap or cosmetically correct it.

You can take a pain killer tablet like brufen 400 / combiflam /diclogem for a temporary relief and consult a dentist for proper treatment of the tooth to avoid same problem in future. (note: pain killer tablets are also not solution because they only treat the symptom and not the cause of tooth pain. Also harmful for the body if taken for longer periods without proper supervision.) pain can be due to various factors visit your dentist and get a proper examination done which may include x-rays if necessary, to get a precise diagnosis, after which dentist can give you exact alternatives of treatment options and then you can make decision as to get which appropriate treatment suitable to your problem and needs. This could either be due to sensitivity of tooth due to loss of enamel or due to decay in teeth. Visit your dentist to check the cause of your prob n get treated accordingly. Meanwhile use a desensitizing toothpaste such as senquelf. Rub some of it onto to the tooth surface n wait for 5 mins before rinsing.

How can I get relief from Cavity in teeth without root canal? please help me and tell home remedies.
If the cavity is shallow then it can be treated by restoration and if the cavity is deep or you are having sensitivity to hot or cold foodstuff then root canal treatment is the first choice of treatment or you can go for extraction of tooth. There is no home remedy which can give you permanent relief from this, you can delay the treatment by taking some medicine but you cannot avoid it permanently.

Smell from the mouth may be due to conditions present in the mouth and from stomach. Conditions in the mouth are poor oral hygiene i. E presence of plaque and tartar, poor salivary flow, or may be due to some gum infections. Problems from stomach may be due gastritis. Dehydration is also a common cause. Drinking adequate water may also relieve this. Kindly consult your dentist for further clarifications.

Can Chocolates Cause Tooth Decay?

MDS, BDS, Sedation(Inhalation) Specialist
Dentist
Ask Free Question
One warning that most children would have heard from their parent or other elders is, 'don t eat chocolates, your teeth will get decayed'. And, most children grow up believing this to be true. As this is a global statement thus, more and more research has been done to clarify this.

Let us understand in brief the basic process of tooth decay. The tooth is made of mineralized layer called the enamel that is covered constantly with saliva. There are thousands of bacteria in the mouth. Food substances gradually deposit on the teeth and form plaque. This combination of a moist environment and bacteria on a mineralized structure produces the ideal environment for bacteria to act and produce acids which break down the minerals in the enamel. This is the first step in the origin of decay. The acid produced attracts more bacteria which further leads to worsening of the decay.

Some of the facts correlating chocolates and tooth decay are as follows:

Chocolates in particular do not cause tooth decay. Very often, children tend to eat chocolates in between their meals and do not rinse or brush. This leads to greater level of plaque formation, thereby, starting off the process of decay. Not just chocolates any sticky foods can lead to tooth decay. What needs to be enforced is a habit to brush or at the least rinse thoroughly after eating a chocolate bar. In fact, this could be used as a reward, and it can help food deposits formed from other foods also to be washed away. The child gets to eat a chocolate, and good oral hygiene is reinforced too!
Eating a chocolate before the actual meal is a way to indulge. What happens is that there is no sticky residue on the teeth if eaten this way. The child gets to enjoy chocolate at the same time keeping the teeth away from decay.
Another habit is to make sure that the child eats all of chocolate at one shot than to keep nibbling at it for hours. That way, the chocolate can be managed with one round of brushing or rinsing
it is advisable to give the child their share of chocolate at night, as most kids brush teeth before going to bed.
Dark chocolates contain a good amount of antioxidants and are believed to reduce the incidence of plaque formation and therefore, they counter the effect of acids produced by the bacteria.

So, the next time someone talks about chocolates causing all the tooth decay, tell them it is not that bad, you can have your chocolate and eat it too!!

My teeth are disarranged what should I do?

Ask Free Question
Teeth being disarranged (or mal-aligned) can be due to a variety of causes ranging from hereditary to habit induced (like thumb sucking) there are a few different options that you can choose from if you would like to get them realigned or straightened 1. If you are in the period of a growth spurt (ie. The teenage growth spurt) you can get a myofunctional appliance to correct the anomaly 2. If you have crossed the growth spurt, then you will need to use fixed orthodontic appliance (normally called braces or'clips') for the fixed orthodontic appliance, you can choose from a variety of choices 1. Contemporary braces (the most common type of braces [clips as it is called by many]) 2. Ceramic braces (the ones working professionals or conscious people use [it does not show much metal] 3. Clear braces (the ones working professionals or conscious people use [only a thin wire is seen]) 4. Lingual braces (the ones working professionals or conscious people use [brackets placed on the inner surface of the teeth])
