Dear, seems you have a combination of anxiety and depressive symptoms. Instead of concentrating on what is going wrong now-a-day, try to remember things you achieved in the past. If you start thinking you have not achieved anything right in the past (which is not true) you will project this irrational thought to the future. Occupy yourself in activities you are passionate about. Try to talk to somebody whom you are close to. Medicines can also be of help and it is not good to discard this option just because you feel you will develop side-effects. present-day medicines for psychiatric problems are quite safe. Contact a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist for help. If you stay in Bangalore, you can get my contact details from Lybrate

What should I do if my stress is a reason for my bad memory?

MBBS, Diploma in Paediatrics, MSc(Psychology)
Psychiatrist,
Dear, Is your stress associated with sadness, anxiety, worries about the future, anger outbursts and irritability? Are your sleep and appetite adequate? Do you have frequent headaches and symptoms associated with anxiety such as palpitations of heart, difficulty in breathing, increased sweating, shaking of limbs, dryness of mouth, increased frequency of urination, loose motions, giddiness, ringing sound in the ears? Do you feel tired easily? How is your appetite? Do you feel like meeting people or would rather be alone? Often depressive or anxious symptoms can cause you to concentrate less on things around you and you may start interpreting this as bad memory. Contact a psychologist or psychiatrist for further evaluation. If you stay in Bangalore, you could get my contact from Lybrate.
