I am having back pain due to working on computer for long hours. Also there is a gap in bones at my hip and I took medicine. But it is again paining I am not even able to do my routine personal work. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Knee advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

1 avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

For such condition you must take ayurvedic medicines which you can for long term. Tab. Mahayograj guggula 2 tans twice a day tab. Mahavat vidhwansan ras 1 tab twice a day consult your nearest ayurvedic physician gor panchakarma as per your prakriti and need. For diet avoid the food which is heavy to digest like poha, sago, dahi, south indian dishesh, icecream and dairy products. Avoid fast food like pizza, burger. Take less quantity of food at night. You can also take 1 tsf of castor oil following 50 ml of hot water.

Hii lybrate-user. It is called as delayed onset muscle soreness. It is quite common if your body is not accustomed to exercise. Apply ice atleast twice a day n start exercising for half an hour daily.

Dear doc After sleep or while sleeping, I am having kind of pain in my shoulder. I am unable yo move my arm quickly, it hurts the knuckle joint. First you thought it may b due to the exercise, I was doing in gym, though I was lifting light weight. But from last 3 day I even did not go to gym. It always hurts only in left knuckle joint after or while sleeping. So I myself thought that it may be due to inappropriate sleeping position or the size of pillow. What according to you can b possible cause? How can I get rid of that? What is the perfect height of pillow ghat I must use and also the sleeping position? Could the cause be due to gymnastic, And if it is due to gymnastics, then should I stop doing exercise? But I really don't want to stop exercise Please help.

No 1: Rotator Cuff Isometrics it's really three exercises, but the simple, basic isometric exercise is too often over looked and under used. This is a shame as I find it very effective in reducing a lot of shoulder pains in many people that it rightly deserves my No 1 spot despite them being perceived as boring and simplistic nature. Although recently they are gaining some popularity and credibility again. Isometric exercises for those non therapists reading, is when a muscle/tendon is asked to contract but there is no movement of the joint and so no change in the length of the muscle/tendon, just like when you flex your pecs and biceps in the mirror after a shower… No! just me that does that then, ok moving on…! In my clinic I see a lot of people with acute shoulder pains brought on usually after an increase in activity, sport or training and most I beleive have a reactive cuff tendinopathy. Most of these shoulders have quite high pain levels for the first few weeks and we know that isometrics are great for reducing pain (source) and they do produce some significant forces and tension in the cuff, so can be thought of beginning the needed loading program. There are lots of variations and I don't think it matters too much how you do them, it's more important how hard and how much you do them, more on this in a bit. The isometric exercises I usually give are a'Back of the hand Wall Press' used when I suspect a more superior cuff tendinopathy, it's done simply by standing next to a wall and pressing the back of the hand into the wall in the scapular plane (called Scaption) at approx 30° of abduction.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Good posture is key for back pain reduction. Avoid long sitting in a posture give rest to your back between work. Use lumber supports in sitting. Adjust height of your chair so you can not lean too much forward full back support required. Some stretching exercises in between work made changes. Back extension exercises morning and evening 10 times.

Hi Mam , For lower back pain please follow below remedy ... 1) massage with castor oil ... If possible mix with magnesium oil .. 2) have 2 tabs of Yograj guggul in morning empty stomach , 1 tab around 12 noon and 1 tab 5-6 pm 3) have 1 tab of maha Yograj guggul after 30 mins of breakfast and one after 30 mins of Dinner ....
