Hi lybrate-user, Ayurveda can gives you right suggestion. You have to need your immunity first. You should avoid Urad, banana, oil fried food spices. Saline water gargle should be done before meals. Non-irritating and bland diet, hot water, lemon, green and leafy vegetables particularly having sour and bitter taste. You can also doing this at home: 6-7 basil leaves 5-6 cloves (powder) 2-3 black piper 1/4 teaspoon ginger paste all this add in 150 ml of water then boiling mild flame and reduce to 100 ml. Later filtered and allowed to warm o it's own. Then add 2 teaspoon of honey and drink .it gives you relieved. Hot water steam will also facilitate draining from the nose and also provide relief in pain over forehead. Ayurveda pancjkarma treatment like NASAYA gives you relief. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6.Take light dinner. 7.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time . 8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. 5 Tips To Boost Your Memory

1. Don’t Forget About Physical Exercise

Believe it or not, when you’re exercising your body, you’re exercising your mind as well. Aerobic exercise or yoga gets your blood pumping, which increases the oxygen going to your brain and lowers your risk of disorders such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease that can lead to memory loss.

If you can, start with some exercise in the morning. This can clear your head right off the bat to stay focused and alert during the day. Exercises that require coordination are especially helpful for keeping the mind active such as simply throwing a ball back and forth.

2. Make Sure You’re Sleeping

Sleep is one of the best ways to make sure your brain and memory are in tip-top shape on a daily basis. To get the most out of your sleep, aim for 7-9 hours every night.

Make sure to shut off the electronics at least an hour before bed to help the mind shut off as well. Try to limit your caffeine and alcohol intake earlier in the day. Both can result in a shallow sleep.

3. Keep Your Brain Stimulated

Research has shown that keeping mental stimulation as we age is very important for lowering the risk of dementia.

Stay social, interact with others, learn new skills, play mind-exercise games like crossword puzzles or Sudoku. Interacting with others and continuing to learn is vital for keeping the brain healthy at any age.

4. Be Aware Of Your Stress

Chronic stress can not only make someone miserable, but also cause serious long term effects. Stress over time has been shown to destroy brain cells and damage the area of the brain that creates new memories and recalls past ones.

To avoid memory loss, minimize your stress. Don’t take on too many tasks if they overwhelm you, sometimes it is okay to say no. Make sure you have outlets to relieve stress whether it is physical exercise or talking with someone about your frustrations.

5. You Are What You Eat

Certain foods have shown to be significant in preventing memory loss. Make sure to get your fruit and vegetable servings in. Don’t forget avocados!), many are filled with antioxidants that help protect your brain cells. Eat more foods with omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon, tuna and foods cooked with olive oil.

Hi, I am a 30 years old female and I have hypothyroidism since two years. My TSH was 13 a month back. After which I got it checked to an Endocrinologist, I am currently taking Thyronorm 100 mcg and 125 mcg alternatively. I work in night shifts from 7 pm- 4 am in the morning. I do yoga daily from 5 am - 6 am followed by an hour of swimming. I am still not able to reduce my weight. Please suggest.

Thanks for the query. When on treatment for hypothyroidism, ideally TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, then only all the symptoms are in check. Even efforts to reduce weight will succeed if TSH is in the above range. So please check that first. Then look at your dietary intake. Total caloric intake should be based on your ideal body weight (Height in Cms - 100 = kgs). Plus since weight reduction is desired, then reduce another 500 calories from that. Plus continue doing all the workouts as of now. Thanks.

This is not by birth. It is up to you which way you want to go. Sexual orientation is far away from relationship. Apply a good sunscreen with SPF-30 and apply a good moisturizer before application of sunscreen. 2.Don't smoke. When you don't get enough sleep, the body produces excess Stress Hormones, a hormone that breaks down skin cells.
