Does eating chocolates during periods have good or adverse effects on mensuration cycle? How to regulate menstruation flow and be healthy.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Does eating chocolates during periods have good or adverse effects on mensuration cycle? How to regulate menstruation...
According to the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Drugs and Biologics, though chocolate contains a small amount of caffeine, it contains large amounts of theobromine, which is classified as a mild stimulant of the central nervous system. Because of this, chocolate can create a nervous condition that actually accentuates pain and discomfort. Management of pain: Place a heating pad or hot water bottle on your lower back or abdomen. Taking a warm bath may also provide some relief. To relieve menstrual cramps, you should also: Rest when needed. Avoid foods that contain caffeine and salt. Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol. Massage your lower back and abdomen. Keep yourself hydrated as dehydration also leads to cramps. Intake of warm things may help you in some cases. Women who exercise regularly often have less menstrual pain. To help prevent cramps, make exercise a part of your weekly routine. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Mag. Phos. 6x and Colocynthis 200 - both every 2 hrly till menstrual pain is there.

Hi lybrate-user, you need to first figure out what is troubling you because of which you are not able to sleep. If it is stress, you may try some yoga to help you. There is also no harm in consulting an expert as you can treat such problems naturally, you just require some guidance. Do so soon so that the problem does not persist for too long. All the best!

Your mom needs certain blood tests to confirm the diagnosis. In her case it could be nutritional deficiencies or hormonal imbalances or other medical problem. Hair loss is just an outer symptom of internal medical problems.

YOu try natural methods like meditaion and yoga. Or you need to take medication .Natural Depression Treatments Being depressed can make you feel helpless. But Along with therapy and sometimes medication, there's a lot you can do on your own to fight back. Changing your behaviour – your physical work, lifestyle, and even your way of thinking -- are all natural depression treatments .these tips can help you feel better -- starting right now. 1. Get in a routine. If you’re depressed, you need a routine depression can strip away the structure from your life. One day melts into the next. Setting a gentle daily schedule can help you get back on track. 2. When you're depressed, you may feel like you can't accomplish anything. That makes you feel worse about yourself. To push back, set daily goals for yourself. "Start very small,” "Make your goal something that you can succeed at, like doing the dishes every other day. As you start to feel better, you can add more challenging daily goals. 3. Exercise- It temporarily boosts feel-good chemicals called endorphins. It may also have long-term benefits for people. Regular exercise seems to encourage the brain to rewire itself in positive ways. How much exercise do you need? You don’t need to run marathons to get a benefit. Just walking a few times a week can help. 4. Eat healthy. There is no magic / special; diet that corrects depression. It's a good idea to watch what you eat, though. If depression tends to make you overeat, getting in control of your eating will help you feel better. Although nothing is definitive, there’s evidence that foods with omega-3 fatty acids (such as fish) and folic acid (such as spinach) could help ease depression. 5. Get enough sleep. Depression can make it hard to get enough sleep and can make depression worse. What can you do? Start by making some changes to your lifestyle. Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try not to nap. Take all the distractions out of your bedroom -- no computer and no TV. In time, you may find your sleep improves. 6. Take on responsibilities. When you’re depressed, you may want to pull back from life and give up your responsibilities at home and at work. Staying involved and having daily responsibilities can work as a natural depression treatment. They ground you and give you a sense of accomplishment. If you're not up to full-time school or work, that’s fine. Think about part-time. If that seems like too much, consider volunteer work. 7. Challenge negative thoughts. In your fight against depression, a lot of the work is mental -- changing how you think. When you're depressed, you leap to the worst possible conclusions. You might feel like no one likes you, but is there real evidence for that? You might feel like the most worthless person on the planet, but is that really likely? It takes practice, but in time you can beat back those negative thoughts before they get out of control. 8. Check with your doctor before using supplements. "There's promising evidence for certain supplements for depression, Those include fish oil, folic acid. Always check with your doctor before starting any supplement, especially if you’re already taking medications 9. Do something new. When you’re depressed, you’re in a rut. Push yourself to do something different. Go to a museum. Pick up a used book and read it on a park bench. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Take a language class. "When we challenge ourselves to do something different, there are chemical changes in the brain, "Trying something new alters the levels of [the brain chemical] dopamine, which is associated with pleasure, enjoyment, and learning. 10. Try to have fun. If you’re depressed, make time for things you enjoy. What if nothing seems fun anymore? "That's just a symptom of depression, You have to keep trying anyway. As strange as it might sound, you have to work at having fun. Plan things you used to enjoy, even if they feel like a chore. Keep going to the movies. Keep going out with friends for dinner. When you're depressed, you can lose the knack for enjoying life, you have to relearn how to do it. In time, fun things really will feel fun again.

I have my black sports as well as pimples on my back . I used cosmetic cream but no changes please help me.

BHMS
Homeopath,
I have my black sports as well as pimples on my back . I used cosmetic cream but no changes please help me.
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Here are some key points about pimples. More detail and supporting information is in the main article? pimples are developed by the majority of teenagers and a significant number of adults? pimples can cause anxiety and embarrassment, particularly when situated on the face prompt treatment of pimples often helps with overcoming their emotional and psychological effects people with regular breakouts of pimples are more likely to experience depression the risk of developing pimples is increased by a diet high in dairy products and high glycemic index foods to reduce the risk of pimples, it is recommended that people wash their faces about twice each day - not more often popping (bursting) pimples can make the skin infection worse over-the-counter (otc) pimple treatments often contain active ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and sulfur prescription medication for pimples includes topical treatment, antibiotics and laser and light therapy breakouts of pimples can be made worse by the stress and anxiety, makeup and greasy hair. Washing your face wash your face about twice each day - not more often. Make sure you have a mild soap. Use warm water. Wash gently; do not scrub the skin. Experts advise the use of an otc lotion which contains benzoyl peroxide. If you need to get rid of it if you have an important event, such as a public-speaking engagement or wedding and it is important to get rid of a sightly pimple, get a specialist to treat it for you. Touching your face even though this may require some willpower, try to refrain from touching your face with your hands. BHMS
Homeopath, Howrah
There are many reasons which may cause blood pressure to lower down, it can be anemia due to blood loss, low fluid intake, low salt intake, hypothyroidism etc. Firstly increase salt in diet, drink lots of water, coconut water is good for low blood pressure. If still it persists after following this, then revert.

I am having major hair loss at the age of 20. I have tried various home remedies too yet nothing has made difference. It used to have very nice dense and thick hair, but now its just bunch of thin hair which gets uprooted easily if I just wave my hand through my head. This issue started when I was 17 and it has increased by time. Now my hair density is very less.
