The easy way is to walk at least half an hour in the morning and another half an hour in the evening. This will control your bp, sugar and obesity.

Pernicious Anemia Pernicious anemia (PA) is an autoimmune disorder in which the body fails to make enough healthy red blood cells (RBCs). The body requires vitamin B-12 and a type of protein called intrinsic factor (IF) to make red blood cells. Vitamin B-12, or cobalamin, is found in certain foods and medications. IF is a protein made by the stomach?s mucosal (mucus-secreting) cells, called parietal cells. When vitamin B-12 enters the body, it binds with IF. The two are then absorbed in the last part of the small intestine. In the majority of cases of PA, the body?s immune system attacks and destroys the stomach?s mucosal cells. IF can no longer be made, and vitamin B-12 cannot be absorbed. Vitamin B-12 deficiency produces a small number of overly large and ineffective RBCs called macrocytes. Because of their large size, these cells may not be able to leave the bone marrow and enter the bloodstream. The resulting decrease in oxygen-carrying RBCs in the bloodstream can lead to fatigue and weakness. According to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), this type of anemia is called ?pernicious? because it was once considered a deadly disease. This was due to the lack of available treatment. Today, the disease is relatively easy to treat with B-12 shots or supplements. With the best of Health

Lemon and Weight loss
Lemon is packed with vitamin c which helps fat metabolism. It also absorbs iron. People with low iron content tend to feel tired and sluggish and reach our for sugary high calorie snacks. So squeeze some lemon on to your salads to help squeeze the fat out of your cells

Hi There, I am a student of class 11 and my school starts at 9. My break time is by 1: 20 pm but instead of having a bowl of cereals for breakfast I still feel hungry. What can I do to avoid it?

Hye. Thankyou for the query. You must take regular home made breakfast like roti vegetable or upma or poha or paratha or egg pav for breakfast. These foods are fiber and protein rich and give good fats to keep you full for long. Cereals are packaged foods, good for emergencies or when you are in a rush but not healthy on a daily basis. Let breakfast be within half an hour of waking up. Have a small breakfast in the break at school as well. Keep yourself hydrated. This will help you avoid excessive hunger pangs by lunch time. See that you do not skip lunch or replace it with some junk foods like samosa or burger or chips.

I feel you are not taking a nutritious diet. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.

Hi lybrate-user, you had periods on 18th february and had protected sex on 16th day of your cycle. If you have a 28 day cycle, then the 16th day is unsafe and the chances of pregnancy were high. But since you had used protection, the chances reduce. Nevertheless, it would be better if you undergo a urine pregnancy test to rule out the chances of pregnancy. If the test is negative, you can rest assured that you will definitely get your periods.

Hi! You are suffering from mood swings. Various causes are related to mood swings. You also seem to suffer from depression and that is the reason you tend to stay aloof from everyone. If you really want to overcome this problem and lead a normal life you need to volunteer to undergo treatment from a Professional Psychologist or a Psychiatrist who could help you overcome this problem. If you are interested to undergo treatment for the same you can even contact me through online consultation. Take care. Be relaxed. With regards
