I depressed myself when I'm thinking about the future and my career who can I help me.
If your future is looking uncertain, go visit a career counselor and do some testing including an Aptitude Test and determine the course your life should take. At your age this is a very important assessment to do.

You will have to learn to ignore him or not take him too seriously. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

Hi Sir, My wife was administered with spenzo 40 'll about 19 months ago and she responded quite after that without any further medicine. When symptom of her schizophrenia reappeared recently, she was again given spenzo 40 'll yesterday. My question is after how many days/hours she will regain her normalcy. Now she is hardly responding to our talk and look depressed though she is doing all her normal house keeping activities. Thanks.

Sir, schizophrenia is not curable as yet. However you can her functional with medication but that may have to continue for the rest of her life. If she wants to get 'better' she must combine therapy with the medication. In counseling she will learn a lot of skills, tools and techniques to better handle herself with her disease. Schizophrenia is a very complex and difficult disease to treat, even with medication. All psychotropic medicines have side-effects: that is inescapable. In counseling she will also learn about emotions and how they can impact her condition adversely. Expressing emotions in an appropriate manner will equip her for life. Talking and sharing about the many disturbing thoughts and learning to understand yourself and moderate her responses will go a long way towards normalizing and training her mind. Exercise must be a regular part of her life for various reasons. Put her on a productive and strict schedule. The idle mind is the devil's workshop for sure, and more so for a schizophrenic.

It does not matter how many days you can stop drinking, as long as you need your drink subsequently. This could lead to increased tolerance levels so that over time you will need to drink more to get the same or greater effect. You need to identify why you need to drink, and go back into your childhood to find out other influences on your personality that makes you prone to addiction. Meet with an addiction counselor and work with them to sort out this drive. Your already display the classic tendency to first obsess about it and then compulsively feel driven to meet that need. The simplest thing to do is to do some other interesting activity during the evening times. Meet your oral need with some other non-intoxicating drink like soups, juices, and sodas with lime, etc. If you think that you will find it very difficult, then admit yourself to a hospital and go for de-addiction: which normally lasts for about two weeks. Then follow that up with addiction counseling from a professional for at least three years to completely get rid of the habit. If this is also not enough, then admit yourself into a de-addiction center and stay there for at least 6 months and after that attend counseling with a professional. There are medicines that help with the drinking just to ease the initial craving. Ultimately, it is your will power and the support that you receive from the medical fraternity and your close and dear ones. You must also learn to substitute and deal with the oral need, a rigid value system, the script issue, and of course look at all the genetic factors to plan a strategy not to get into what is called ‘cross addictions’ i.e. Another form of addiction that may appear alright but is in fact as bad as the primary addiction. The center or hospital and the counselor will advise and guide you on several measures and precautions you will need to take to stay with your resolve. Even after the rehabilitation you must attend AA meetings and continue this support for a long time. Your family will also need to attend some sessions and go for Al-anon meetings for their co-dependency issues. You cannot be treated in isolation because the family has gotten used to your drinking and have made some unhealthy adaptations to somehow cope. Make a serious plan with the family and whoever else’s support you can get and act on it fast. As a combination these two therapies (counseling and rehabilitation) will aid in dealing with the addiction. It will however take a long time to completely come off of the enslavement.

Dear Sir, My daughter, aged 27 years is suffering from schizophrenia for the last 11 years and is under regular treatment at PGI, Chandigarh since September, 2007. She was prescribed various set of medicines during the course of treatment. She is presently taking Skizoril 200 mg and Tryptomer 25 mg daily. As the symptoms persist, doctors say that she would have to take medicines indefinitely. Though my daughter is average in studies, she spends maximum time glued to books (just staring) and often looses cool on the petty issues, if things are not going as per her liking. She is very introvert and has no friends, even girls. She used to go to her educational institution alone and did not have any interaction with her classmates. She is M.A. In English. She does not like watching T.V. Programmes and using mobile (smart phone). She confines herself to her room and did not like sharing meals in dining room in the company of family members. Sometime she speaks with herself. She is self centered and sometimes envies even her siblings, when she observes them to be getting favorable treatment or they are excelling in their studies and other activities. She loves eating fast foods and enjoys travelling in the company of parents but not with others. She enjoys attending social gatherings like wedding parties. She gets irritated often and do not hesitate to speak loudly and makes ungraceful gestures to parents. She is lazy by nature and avoids doing even petty household works like cooking, washing and ironing clothes etc. She is very casual about her appearance and is not fascinated by good dresses. She often suspects her old classmates and others for conspiring against her. She also suspects her mother and thinks that she (mother) is always conspiring against her. Nevertheless, she never forgets to bring gifts for her on her birthday, mother’s day etc. She is a confused lot and her long and prolonged allopathic treatment has not brought any favorable results. Please guide, whether alternative therapies like CBT, ECT, meditation, Homeopathic treatment etc. Could treat her completely or partially. I discussed about these with her doctor (senior consultant of the rank of Associate Professor) at P.G.I. Chandigarh but he said that these are not effective therapies. Clozapine therapy worked very well for few years but now it's effect is getting reduced. My daughter has gained weight and has become dull. She has lost interest in every thing except eating. She had stopped reading newspapers and had lost interest in preparing for competitive exams. Etc. She has become quarrelsome and in fact has become a big problem for family as every one is disturbed by her behavior. Doctor (her consultant) at P.G.I. Chandigarh do not offer any alternative therapy and only advises for increasing the dose of clozapine. I took her to NIMHANS Bangalore for better treatment. She was examined thoroughly by the senior doctors there and I was advised to get her admitted in the ward (one attendant allowed) for 15 days to one month for observations and further tests. The doctor has prescribed clozapine 200 mg and Sizodon 3 mg (my daughter was earlier on Sizodon 15 mg for three years and she developed tardive dyskinesia and as a result she was prescribed clozapine). NIMHANS doctors said that alternative therapies would also be tried once she starts taking treatment from them. I am in a dilemma since Bangalore being a far off place it would not be possible for me to travel to that place frequently for follow up. In the meantime. I also consulted a private psychiatrist at Chandigarh, who after examining her and undertaking psychological tests/blood test (her hydroxyvitamin d was found abysmally low (8.60 ng/mL)(at PGI, this test was never conducted) prescribed sizopin 225 mg, ariphrenz 5 mg, escipra 10 mg and pyrocal d3 (for vitamin d deficiency. Now I am at crossroads and do not have any idea to choose which treatment (institute) to pursue for better recovery of my daughter. Prolonged treatment at PGI Chandigarh has not yielded desired results (PGI doctors have hectic schedule due to heavy rush of patients and obviously the institute follows conventional approach). In view of this kindly guide me which of the above treatments best suits my daughter for optimal results. Thanking you in anticipation.

You are describing behaviours of a typical paranoid schizophrenia. The NIMHANS visit should have been followed up since they are very thorough. However, I quite understand your plight in terms of distance. Anyway, CBT is a must and must used in tandem with medication. The more a person with this disease with draws, the more internal they become. The internal world of a schizophrenic is a house full of crazy ideas and notions. This must be prevented at any cost. If she likes parties and functions, take her to many of them. Since she is comfortable with the parents, take her to places to visit wilfully to expose her to more social stimulus and thus get her out of her internal world: this is going to be key to recovery. There will be delusions of persecution and suspicion over everyone including family and other trusted ones. Paranoids are specifically tormented by abnormal fear. What they do however is that instead of dealing with that fear, they escalate anger over it and act violent. They are extremely sensitive to rejection or the anticipation of it. Their thinking can be quite illogical and distorted. They imagine everything with suspicion and withdraw into themselves. They must be put on medication and a lot of occupational therapy and intense psychotherapy are needed to mitigate the symptoms. I suspect that your daughter suffers from a severe case of rejection and many of the behaviours are indicative of one suffering the Rejection Issue.

Hello mam. I have a problem of watching porns. I have tried everything to control it but failed I could just control ...
You need to be careful because porn may provide great sexual entertainment but it also stokes the desire, which will then lead to desire-fulfillment and that will lead to impulses. It actually objectifies women and sex to levels that makes you lose respect for them. Besides, the whole thing is dramatized to such crazy levels of performance (that is why it sells too) that you are made to feel grossly inadequate. It is really far from the reality, and these are exceptional actors, with some exceptional endowments and actions that you may even look at your own spouse with disdain, or inadequacies that is most unfair. After you have been stimulated you are left hungry in your groin to want to fulfill your desires, and if not met soon, leaves you with that raving libido, and it can goad you to do something inappropriate. In essence it spoils a very beautiful thing and reduces it to mere physical impulses. After some time you get disgusted when you have had too much of it; whereas natural sex will never cause that affect at all. If you have so much of sexual energy you can channelize it into activities, sports, games, and hobbies. You need to distract yourself when the drive is very strong in you, which may be so if your levels of testosterone are very high too. You need to socialize with members of the opposite sex and enjoy their company to experience the different aspects of a woman and to also feel the different aspects of sex and not get frozen in the carnal part of it alone. Sex has five different dimensions to it: there is the physical aspect, the emotional aspect, the intellectual aspect, the social aspect and finally there is the spiritual aspect. The latter may surprise you but this is where respect and regard for women and their bodies will come up to help treat them with value. If you cultivate these dimensions of sex I am sure you will perceive women differently and with a lot of respect. Eventually when you are into a serious relationship with a woman, you will truly enjoy the whole concept of romance and being and falling in love with the real thing: That my friend will be a different ball-game. Do not play with a poor replica of sex, and shy away from the real person and thing, which are so wholesome.

The combination of addiction to mobile, porn and masturbation can impact anyone but it will be worse for a suggestible 16 year old. So this is harmful immediately and over the long haul. You must seek the help of a counselor and I suggest you visit that person along with your parents. I suspect that there may be childhood issues that need a careful scrutiny to examine them for thier contribution for your addictive personality. In late adolescence there are hormonal matters that will further compound your tendencies. All three are prone to be attractive to a teenagers and you can easily become addictive.

You need to combine medication with therapy. You can learn a lot of things regarding adjustment, addictions, becoming balanced temperamentally, learning coping skills and techniques to handle emotions etc. About the issue itself: Do you know if this is a family trait, or is the family by anyways less to socialize, or have you had any problem with fear because of some family or childhood experience? Have you ever been embarrassed in public by someone that it has left an indelible mark in your personality? You can take the answers to these questions to a counselor and resolve the same. Anyway, you must deal with your fear of people and it will be the best solution to your problem. In the meantime do some confidence building exercises by attending a personality development course, public speaking skills course (I suggest you join the Toastmasters Club), work out at a gym to build good self-image, and join social events to practice your skills. Surprisingly many people are often in the same boat as you, and so you are not alone. The very people you are intimidated by may be afraid of you too! There are three important developments to have to make an autonomous personality: Awareness, intimacy, and spontaneity. If you are super aware or too conscious of yourself, it will affect the intimacy and spontaneity. Although your problem is now directly to do with intimacy, you can see that they are all connected. Go and work on these matters with a counselor for this level of social anxiety to disappear from your life for good.
