BHMS

Raised blood pressure is not a disease in itself. It is just a sign of some underlying disorder. Homeopathy offers good prognosis for cases of essential hypertension. The treatment is based upon the cause and the totality of the case. A constitutional homoeopathic treatment will cure you permanently You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance

I am 70 years old and diabetic, I take medicines for Blood Pressure, cholesterol and bita blocker, my Creatinine content is high 1.35 I am afraid of Kidney problem .Please advise.

Very often long duration allopatic medication puts a strain on the other organs, especially the Kidney (which has to wash out the chemicals from the blood) and the Liver (which has to digest the medicines). Increase your intake of water, spread out during the day. Drinking 3 glasses in morning helps like it is advertised, but drinking 1 glass every 2 hours is much better. Take coconut water daily to control BP as well as help kidney function.

Why old people will always suffer with high blood pressure or low blood pressure.

MD
General Physician, Mumbai
Dear patient, as one grows old the arteries get thick because of fat deposition and aging. This is called atherosclerosis. Hence the bp rises in old age. In some old patients the bp control receptors and centre in the brain become weak and hence they get low bp. Some of them have weak heart with low ejection fraction. That can also cause low bp. I hope this helps.

I examined by blood pressure today. It is 160/100. whether morning walk daily one hour reduce it. I have no other complain.

MD - Homeopathy
Homeopath, Vadodara
Usually the hypertension remains asymptomatic in many cases and only diagnosed accidentally or if there are any complications... Second thing if its only a one time reading then you should check it at least two more times on different days and then only you can decide if it comes more then you are hypertensive.. If it comes normal then you can maintain it by walk (exercise, pranayam), salt restrictions... If it comes higher than the normal range then you should consider taking a homeopathic treatment which can bring it down to normal in time and you will not have to take the medicines lifelong, plus it also improves general health... For a good homoeopathic medicine consult with more details... Till then you may try taking Veretrum Viride 30 (homoeopathic).

I am suffering from chest pain I went to hospital he done ECG echo tmt lipid and thyroid rbs all are normal these are done since September but when I climb steps and jagging I am feeling chest tightness and heart beats faster that time dyspnea coming what can I do can I go again tests I have spondilightis and which many days cardiac checkups are verifing.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
You had a cardiac arrest & gastric ulcer in the past and both are related to stress and wrong eating habits and you are only 30. Spondilitis is also bothering you but good news for you is that all cardiac reports are normal now. Take a second opinion and get tested again if you have breathless and tightness of chest, get lungs examined by doing a spirometry test, may be it is a respiratory problem due to pollution/ smoking.

My chest x ray show: white colour at the bottom in half left side of x-ray, I have no physical problem for this, doctor tried to extract fluid by inserting syringe on lungs but not coming any fluid, CT SCAN Report: 1) there is significant thinking of visceral and partial layer of pleura of left side (max thickness are 1.5cm) with evidence of small fluid collection in left pleural space. 2) Homogeneous areas of consolidation without air bronchograms in subpleural region of lower lobe in left lung. 3) Periaortic lymphadenopathy. I have taken 4 month DOTS for TB as per doctors prescription but white part of left side is not removing from x-ray. Suggest medicine also for quick recover.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
I do not want to interfere in treatment but incidence of drug resistant TB is quite common in our country. I treat my patients by giving AKT4 for 2 months after doing Liver function tests (repeat after a month) AKT3 for 6 more months. I explain them to take liver friendly diet like it is given for Jaundice , lots of carbs + proteins like toned milk & milk products ,eggs but No heavy Non veg or other heavy foods. Total rest. No need to Isolate if it is Not an open case. Keep the person busy by teaching some crafts ,like knitting & embroidery for women but No exposure to kitchen heat/ sun. This is general rule for all , total cost comes to less than 1000/- yes one thousand only including tests. Why should a worker of my area travel to DOTS center? You have done the right thing for getting investigated and following the treatment so far. Talk to your doctors about your problem and do let us know.Lymph nodes in abdominal TB have also vanished after a month in one of our cases. In your case ,there is minimal fluid which does not need aspiration and removal,it will clear away and so will the other lymph nodes. After complete course of treatment for TB or during treatment ,some white shadows are seen ,may be these are healed patches but we have to go by totality 1) ESR coming down 2) no fever 3) appetite better 4) weight gain 5) improvement in general condition.

I am a patient of DM, IHD, PPM, HTN. taking regular medicines. What will be my ideal diet? My age is 72 years.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
I hope every condition is under control. Ideal diet is not according to charts. You eat according to your constitution without comparing with others. No sugar or sweets, no bad fats, only good fats like a spoon of pure ghee/ butter and a katori of assorted nuts. Minimal salts and no packaged food as it contains lots of salt, being a preservative. Lemon juice with honey but cut down on other calories (just 30 cals in a spoon of honey) it helps to burn the fat and sugar. Fruits like guava, orange, apple can be had. Exercise like walking also burns sugar and fats.

You maybe most probably suffering from gastritis or gastro esophageal reflux disease. You have to avoid spicy and fried foods. Also avoid junk food and fast food. If your problems are worse, you need to take an ecg and take medications.

Perweenji, I am sure you must be on treatment for both these conditions. If yes please give following details : BP reading, Fasting and PP sugar levels, HbA1c%, drugs being taken with dosage, your weight & height, dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise. It is better if you come in a private conversation with all those details I will be able to give specific suggestions. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guidelines like : Take a restricted diet that gives exact calories based on ideal body weight, sugar levels and extent of exercise. Exercise daily for 1 hour, brisk walking is a best option. Reduce salt intake to about 2.3 g / day. Consume more of green leafy vegetables and salads. Avoid tobacco in any form and also alcohol.
