My daughter has 8 years old. She is suffering from severe cough from 7 days. I am already using amoxicillin antibiotic medicine. So pls suggest a medicine for her dry cough.

MBBS
General Physician, Greater Noida
Hi, for cold, cough and fever 1. Try to keep body warm 2. Do not eat and drink cold food items 3. Try to avoid persons affected with cold and cough because it spreads through droplet mode by coughing and sneezing 4. Take a tablet of levocetrizine and a basic antibiotic with an expectorant cough syrup for 4 days 5. Consult through audio video after a chest x ray for details.

Hi, Your condition is not very serious as your platelet count is 1.17 lakh. Kiiwi fruits and papaya leaf juice are excellent medicines to increase the platelet count. Consume plenty of fluids like tender coconut, fresh fruit juices, ORS, water, milk, etc. Do not take pain killers. Complete bed rest is advised. Keep checking the platelet levels everyday. If it goes below 20,000 then platelet has to be given, for which hospitalisation is essential.

Sexologist,
Why during having sex first time ejaculation happens early while in second round it takes time?
It's like drinking a second glass of water after the first. The excitement level at the first intercourse is very high compared to the second.

Degenerative arthritis of spine is not an uncommon problem in elderly people. Take rest, apply hot bag, pain relieving gels etc. Consult your orthopedic surgeon. Most of these pains can be relieved by proper physiotherapy
