It depends, if there is any ongoing stress, or any disorder creeping in like anxiety, depression. You can ascertain that by consulting a psychologist and discussing in detail. You sure not have adhd if there were no such difficulties in childhood. For time being you can start with meditation. Discuss your issues with psychologist for best management. Consult me for same. All the best.

Continuous travelling may cause little uneasiness to the baby. But you should not give unnecessary medications.

Saving Your Child's Teeth :

Having good non decayed milk teeth with spacing between them is good for the child. There is a probability that if there are no spaces between milk teeth ( before 6 years of age) - the chances of having irregular teeth become more later on when the permanent teeth erupt. If there is crowding/ irregularity on the eruption of permanent teeth, it is better to show it to a Pedodontist ( Child Dental Specialist), by 7 to 8 yeras of age - who will help you and the child get the teeth into alignment without having to go through braces later on. This way there will be less chances of decay in child's milk and permanent teeth.

Always make it a practice to encourage your children to inform you if they face any pain or discomfort in the neck or back before it becomes a serious problem.

My 3 month daughter passes stool after each feed. But her doctor says it is normal. Is it okay for a child to pass stools 9-10 times a day when she is exclusively fed by her mother?

MD - Paediatrics
Pediatrician, Ranchi
Passage of 9-10 times stool in this age is normal if there is proper weight gain, she is passing urine normally, accepting feeds well. The frequent stool immediately after feed is due to gastrocolic reflex and this improves as the baby grows. Regards.

My son studying in 6 standard, every day he studies for 2-3 hours, but he cannot remember nor able to write correctly what he had studied yesterday. Kindly suggest the solution how to maintain the memory what he had studied. Also their is regularly etching on his dody, he is 10 years old because of that lot of etching mark on his hands.

MD Paediatrics, MBBS
Pediatrician, Hyderabad
This is a common problem in children of this age group, often parents complain of such things with their children, there is no connection of skin and memory, as far as etching of skin is there, there might be some allergen which is causing it or sometimes dry skin may be cause of etching marks. Use a good moisturiser to whole body before sleep, ask him to drink plenty of fluids/water. Still problem persists consult a dermatologist, as far as memory is concerned nothing to worry, each and every individual has different iq levels and different grasping and retaining abilities. Just have patience as the children grow they will develop their skills.

My daughter is one year old. I want to know some home remedies for cold and fever for instant relief.
You can keep paracetamol suspension which can be given in the dosage of 10 to 15 mg per kg body weight per dose and for cold you can put saline nasal drops into each nostril frequently.

Hi my son is 4 years old from last few days he is excessively crying, I think that he has problem with his digestive system whenever he takes milk he started crying after sometime please help me he is also diagnosed with canavan diseases.

MD - Homeopathy
Pediatrician, Mumbai
Intake of milk might be making him cry because he must not be liking milk. Crying usually at this age is attention seeking behaviour. Ignore at times when you think that he is crying without any reason.

Hello sir/mam. My baby is 15 months old and doesn't want to drink plain milk. Can I use Hershey's syrup in her milk. Does it have any side affects. Thank you My second question is am 5 months pregnant and doesn't observe any movement in my tummy. Some Orthodox people use to say that if it starts moving after 5 to 6 months it may be a baby boy. Is that so? Please let me know. thanks.

Don't force for plain milk. Give him its products like curd kheer etc. Change of taste may be helpful. Adding anything isn't much useful. To know or assess gender of foetus is crime and inviting jail punishment. Take care of baby to come.

The baby not getting enough milk is a frequent, unnecesaary worry among the young parents. First of all it almost never true. Weighing the baby before and after the feed on an accurate electronic scale can give an idea of how much milk the baby suckled. Second test is to manually express the breast and see. If the nipples are not inverted, the baby can be encouraged to suckle frequently so that feeding gets established. If the nipples are inverted then, a nipple shield can be used. Correct positioning and latching of the baby is of utmost importance. A trained person can help with this. There are some drugs such as perinorm which can be given to the mother as a galactagouge. The mother's fluid/foodintake should be increased and she should be constantly motivated, supported and assisted till the feeding gets established.

I am unable to produce milk after 3 days of deliver a baby. please tell me what should I do?

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- Low/absent breast milk supply can be due to certain illnesses, consumption of birth-control pills, certain hormonal changes in the body, nutritional deficiencies, improper latching position of the baby and infrequent breastfeeding due to cracked / inverted nipples. Inadequate breast milk can put your baby at a high risk of malnutrition, a weak immune system, poor memory and many other health problems. Certain galactagogue herbs (in ayurveda) and specific tips can offer significant help in this condition. I recommend you to start herbal supplements to improve your condition.

My son is almost 4 & 1/2 years old. From past 2 months he has been complaining about stomach pain. since two weeks ago he was suffering from loose motions and I consulted a doctor and also told about his frequent stomach pain. She prescribed Normet and Zinconia and also told to deworm him with Zentel syrup. Now its very frequent and he complains every time whenever he eats something. I also feels that his stools are smelly from past two days. Kindly advice on the same. Could you please suggest any specific diet. Thanks.

If there is no associated symptoms with recurrent pain in abdomen, it is idiopathic and has no specific treatment. By passage of time it gets cure on its own. Pain after food may be due to not liking for food. Give him according to his choice and desire to eat. Deworming time to time is required. If his wt is about 16 kg, you need not to worry. All nutritious rich in protein edibles available in home are good.
